❤️ Amazingly simple recipe and with such a clear explanation without any annoying ads and lots of nonsense information! Thanks Susannah, I'm definitely going to subscribe to your channel! I made my bread using your instructions but used wholemeal bread flour (simplest, from ASDA). PS. Just a friendly suggestion, maybe you could consider a dough mixer like the Kenwood Chef XL - absolutely love it, no mess at all 🙂👍
As you have demonstrated wonderfully bread making is the most simplest way to make amazing bread. I’ve been trialing a lot of different fantastic flours. If you like rustic heavy seeded or cob bread. The highly award winning Wessex mill flour is outstanding. Follow the basic bread recipe in the booklet that comes with the 15-1. But before doing anything else use only 300 ml of water putting it in the microwave for 30 seconds. This gives you perfect temp to stir in a teaspoon of sugar and add your dried yeast. In the time it takes you to prep everything else. The yeast has started nicely. As I was using a much courser heavier flour I found it needed less water but the yeast needed a start. The results are outstanding especially when using it to make your festive toasted sandwich. The Tesco’s festive bangers were a great tip thank you. Keep up the great work Barry x
For anyone who hasn't got an air fryer, you can prove the dough in a bowl with cling film / plastic wrap over in a sunny window or next to a fire or on the absolute lowest setting on top of an electric radiator (as long as you're not blocking any vents). I do this for 2 hours. Then I add olive oil (and mix again) and prove again but with a tea towel over for 30 mins and bake at 230c/450f for 30 mins in a dutch oven with the lid on, then 10 mins with the lid off. I have come to this video because I've just got an air fryer. I think this video is really useful.
Thank you for your great and very useful comment. Most definitely you do not need the prove function to be able to make this recipe. Thanks for watching

Hi Susannah thank you very much for the break recipe you showed it so nicely. I’m sure going to try but without egg as I’m vegetarian. I tried your pizza recipe few days ago and want to tell they turned out delicious. I put half whole meal flour and half plain flour really nice so thank you 🥰 Ria

hi sussanne, i have watch several of the ninja bread making vids and not one of them rose as much as your one, i wonder if it could have been the addition of the egg that made the difference, iwill try this on mine next time .well done . hope it ate as good .
Hi, I definitely think the egg made it lighter in texture so maybe helped the rise too. It was delicious and great toasted after a few days when it wasn’t as fresh
I've done your recipe to the 'T' had two wonderful breads then done exactly the same and my two last attempts the dough is so sticky, any idea where I'm going wrong 😢❤
@susannahskitchen no same size, room temp, I might reduce the water, but so embarrassed as the first failed attempt I was saying and look at this, only to see a sticky mess, thankfully most of them were peeded lol 😁
Did the parchment come off easily after cooking? First loaf I made (not with this recipe), the paper was really stuck to the bread and couldn't remove it without taking the bread off with it!
Oh really! Mine came off easily. I dod make a different loaf the other day it it stuck slightly but peeled off ok. Thats annoying, I'm guessing its the type of parchment

Wow that must be some rise. You could just add the thin rack that fits onto the main one. I presume you used the rack so it’s up higher and then hitting the top. That’s what I would do. I hope it still comes out ok

It doesn’t really feel warm as it’s on such a low temperature. You should see a rise in the bread unless your yeast was not working for some reason
