When working at a barstand, PR is everything.
Bartenders are often just like "Emotional Sponges". When they serve drinks, they'll often have to listen about people's gripes be it about their family, work, luck, relationships and even politics almost every day. Knowing how to concoct a drink is one thing, knowing how to interact with your customer while concocting a drink is another. I used to work with a friend of mine who was a bartender while I'm a chef and you'll see him often getting flocked by people not just because he makes a great cocktail but because he's a great listener to people talking about every issues and items like cars and guns over the counter while he's simultaneously serving not only the people at the barstand but also people ordering cocktails and liquor from Room Service down to our side's dinner table. PR is everything for a bartender and even if your drink sucks, your communication skills more than polishes it up.
