@justinmarc323 it's pretty straightforward, Daniel used that move against Johnny, so Johnny instructing his student to use Daniel's signature moviw against his opponent right in front of him was essentially like taking it from him. If you've watched KK2 you'd know that the referee went to Daniel afterwards and told him how people would talk about that kick for years to come, so obviously that kick was attached to Daniel from then on, but now people will associate it with Miguel instead. That was kinda like trying to strip away Daniel's legacy in a sense.
Season 1 Miguel was built different man, hated how the writers nerfed Miguel when Sam broke up with him and he was crying about her break up with him, the same thing happened in Season 1, but Miguel used their breakup as fuel as he was angry and wanted to hurt Robby in the tournament
I mean the season 5 breakup was more formal and it didn't have to effect how he fought because Miguel literally beat Robby fairly in a street fight and kicked Kenny ass at the end
These fights were against fodder characters, of course miguel is gonna look op against what are basically bowling pins. Miguel would've lost the finals if it wasn't for is dirty tactics. Miguel didn't get weaker, his opponents got stronger.

3:13 I thought it was cool how in this scene Xolo (or Miguel in the show) showed he didn't need to be able to move the same "ninja" way his opponent did, just maneuver around him and to be able to do enough to get him in a vulnerable position.
To be fair, Season 1 Aisha was still getting over being bullied so she was just taking her anger out on anyone. She did mature in Season 2 and onwards.
It's nice though that even by this point Johnny was rooting so hard for his students. Even the ones like Burt who weren't going to win, he was still proud of them for competing and using what they'd learned.

It is ridiculous but the main reason he stands out is because of the fact that he come out of nowhere and won despite being the underdog. Plus both of his fights weren't normal, they were dramatic as hell
the writers decided that Daniel and Miyagi-Do had to always be better. Sick of Miyagi-Do. Daniel needs to take CK back from Kreese and redeem it and turn it back into s1.
You have to remember that, with the exception of Robby, Sam, and Demetri, all of Daniel's students were former Cobra Kai students. So they got both styles.
