Here is a quick intro on the Amazon version of the YOW Meraki Surfskate truck. I’ve only used it once and the clip is in this vid.
I show side by side comparisons and at the end I show the exact one I purchased on Amazon.. there are some differences , similarities . Let’s dive in.

Agreed 🤙. I recently just put the Meraki on a 40 inch pintail longboard and Unlocked a whole new way of Longboard surf skating. I’m enjoying playing with diff setups. . I have a Tony Alva Deck coming 34.25 x 10.75 x 18WB I’ll try all sorts of wheels and trucks on it

Has it got the 5mm spring. I got one it has the 5mm spring and I was blown away how good it is. I was going to buy a meraki spring but no point. Nice one
Honestly , I dont know the mm of the spring. But when I pulled them apart , the YOW meraki and the Amazon Exogio, the springs where the same in terms of shape and size. I've been riding the Amazon one lately and love it just as much as my OG YOW.

@@GermanBadGuy actually I’m never swapped springs and the Amazon one ☝️was my favorite to ride. . I sold it and still have the yow version.

I bought this exact kit from Amazon and when I measured the axle heights with the two 1/2" riser pads, the front Yow truck was still 1/4" short, so I had to add another 1/4" riser to level out the deck. I wonder how many people never check that and ride uneven set ups?
front truck being a tiny bit shorter is not bad for surfskate pumping setup.
Gotta keep these a secret literally a fraction of the price
Heck yeah man . Can make a full set up for under 100 bucks with this . There’s a few sights that have cheap decks .

How is it holding up after a year? Have you used it often?
First off go with the original because you want to support the company that’s making good shit for you. I mean come on man that’s pretty fucked up honestly, why would you want to buy garbage because it is not the same if you have any kind of experience at all, you will be able to notice that immediately. It is not the same. It’s jerky not smooth at all. It has a bunch of play to it and it doesn’t feel like it would last very long at all. I sent mine back immediately and I never planned on keeping it anyway. And the durability is shit I wouldn’t wanna risk my ass on something so cheaply made. But again, support Yow because they’re supporting you. They’re supporting you with great quality amazing surf skates the best really.
What do you know about durability if u did send it away immediately. At least keep it and make an unbiased honest review. Reddit posts has shown nothing but love for clones in terms of bang for buck but the occasional 'buy the original' shill.
