I bet the original designers of Land Rover could never have imagined what could be achieved with the excellent vehicle they produced stock. Simply stunning.
Done a great job but I’ve been in the motor trade for 40 years + and have owned quite a few Land Rovers. But if someone said to me, here’s one for free but you have to drive it for two years and drive nothing else. I’d have to say sorry mate you’ll have to keep it
Maybe the previous generation but the new Defender I would be closer to disagreeing with you but I too like to drive a variety of vehicles but then again it was free and it is only two years and at my stage in life two years is not that long.@@tarmac1697
After just watching Vinny‘s new TV show, I couldn’t wait to see this finished, this is absolutely stunning, well done guys. Vinny must be over the moon. 👍🏼
That's beautiful. You should take more footage of the interior, and maybe some night shots so I can see the lights and the atmosphere inside. I love the colour and fabric combinations. Lovely. The guy deserves it.
What a creation! Epic work! The original defender is still the one... looks really rugged and purposeful. I reckon I would have at least an extra seat in the back or a bench but its looking impressive to sat the least.
Incredible vehicle. Can't help thinking you've overlooked some side supports on the 'Vinnie' seat. Can see Mr Jones rolling out of it after a hard day in the countryside.
Awww bless him! 😄 It's lovely to see Vincent's glee and genuine, unaffected reaction to his new toy! Good lad 😉 And props to all the team at Squire - a thing of beauty 👏 I can but dream 🤗
Absolutely brilliant! Mr Jones is a real gentleman and he deserves this fantastic Land Rover. I love the way that it is bespoke and unique but actually pretty subtle and classy. I would have preferred a Chevy V8 with a manual gearbox but that is me and it's not for me so that does not matter! A class build!
As you say, Mr Jones is a real gent and does love his outdoor pursuits. We also love a Chevy V8 and have a few vehicles currently in that will have these engines.
That is a wonderful piece of equipment,it will be far better than the origanal, i'v got several of them that I have to sweep up on a regular basis. You've hilighted what i'v said for years. When people ask me what land rover to buy, i'v told them to buy an absolute wreck, rebuild it, and in doing so you iron out all the nastiness from the factory. Thank you for sharingmthis with us👍👍👍👍👍
@squireeditionsltd Not seen a BMW V8 transplant. Of course we've all seen a LS3 or 'tang transplant, and of course also the BMW M/N57 transplant. So what made you guys choose the Beemer V8 over the American crate engines?
Spectacular. Could do with lighting the inside of the vehicle next time as on camera it was very dark and difficult to see results of the hard work and skill that have gone into it.
Not my sort of landy and I couldn’t give a shite about bags of air being ⚽️⚽️⚽️ kicked around the field but the one thing I do love is how a simple and old Land Rover can do this to somebody. They truly are a unique vehicle!
Like it so far, the one rear seat lets it down for me. The outside is wonderful, the BMW 4.4 V8 engine and 8-speed auto box great too, the drivers and front passenger plus dashboard looks good too. A 110 LWB Station Wagon, was designed to carry upto 12 people, reducing it to just 3 seats, sorry no thank you. Landy's after all, have to be practical off roaders. Carrying a lot of people and a few dogs, plus whatever else you need to carry with you too. Even in a top of the line luxury Landy, you need at least 4 to 5 seats, I cannot get past one seat in the back.
The point being as is in keeping with the original land rover ethos is that it can be made into anything you want it to be . This truck is specifically tailored like a hand made suit to Vinnies needs not yours or anybody elses. He did not need or want 4-5 seats . It is practical to his needs . If he wants to transport 5 more people with guns, dogs and mud he can well afford to have another S#it box Landy following behind !
@@Cassp0nk I do know because I have recently watched the series myself . I am a great believer in people finding out information for themselves. It has more context and value then.
Watched footy since the 70's and never ever heard a footballer say they wanted to own a land rover🤣. Maybe a pub or an Aston Martin but never a land rover, that's Jones i guess.
I bet TATA, the owners of Land Rover regret discontinuing production of the Land Rover Defender. It’s good to see British craftsmen are still the best, despite pen pushers selling off Land Rover to foreign conglomerates. 🇬🇧
It’s quite nice, not done a bad job, But…….ifyou really want a bespoke Defender that’s built from the ground up then …should have gone to Mahker. I can only imagine the client hasn’t seen their work.
I bet the heater is still shit ,the wipers will barely do anything and the doors still leak. It’ll still have the turning circle of a cross channel ferry. It’s owner will love it anyway. It’s a Land Rover thing, normal people don’t understand.
I bet the original designers of Land Rover could never have imagined what could be achieved with the excellent vehicle they produced stock. Simply stunning.
We so agree. The prospects are limitless.
JLR dropped the ball. Their claim that it didn't comply with modern standards has been proven wrong by Ineos Grenadier.
The original Land Rover was the first car, most of the world’s inhabitants had ever seen.

That roar from the engine and exhaust is fantastic and you don’t get that from an EV, LOVE IT ENJOY VINNIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've never been a big Land- Rover fan but this is bloody brilliant.
Lucky sod.
Fabulous enginering.
Thank you.
Fantastic work guys, wishing your company all the best for 2024. Good on ya Vinnie also. Enjoy 👍🏆🇬🇧

I know a game keeper who knew vinnie, genuine nice bloke and humble . Love that landy
you cant beat british craftmanship fantastic job
Yeah you can

British cars: Brilliant design, terrible workmanship. Some of the factory welds on my Defender are a real laugh.

Great job Tom and your gifted team and an incredible showcase for West Sussex. Good luck with the new business and hopefully the start of many more. 😎
Love the Defender, absolutely fantastic work. But i want the 43! I spent 5 years driving them things :) loved them
Probably the best defender ever to be built in the world. What an incredible vehicle. Amazing.

Nice one Vinnie! Good taste mate!
Well done guys you all absolutely amazing at your craft 🍺👌🏻👍

Top build Squire, Love the side exit exhaust! What sort of bhp is that V8 producing?
Thank you for kind comments. The power is in the region of 350 bhp.

Work of art, I need a lottery win😄
That looks class.
Thank you. We were really pleased with the finished vehicle.
@@squireeditionsltd I bet you are. Did Vinnie pull you up and say it was in Lock Stock that he smashed a guys head with the car door not Snatch? lol
what are paint colours? look so good together
Every stuck up G-Wagon owner jaw just dropped lol. What a masterpiece ❤
Awesome workmanship but the single seat in back reminds me of a wheelchair van
Now that's a proper customisation/build of a Land Rover Defender, much better than bolting on a few bits and sticking a silly name on it
People ask me why I play the lottery 🤔 teams like Squire is why 👍👍💪💪🍺🍺🍺

The question is how long after Vinnie received his bespoke Land Rover did it break down?

At least you have a land rover...😂😅
Illegal plates on what he arrived in and the 110. Why?
.... Why not....?...... Are you gonna be the copper who hands him a fine?
No harm done, bigger things than that for the world to worry about
agree,. only ASSHOLS mess with number plates.. but the 110 was ALL GOOD.
Big Chris has come a long way from his days of debt collection
No denying it’s one of the best but why has it only got one seat in the back
The one seat in the back was at Vinnie's request. As we state "Your Design, our Creation".
Has to be retailed as a G wagon. Hand made and the tech. Cost ? £150k plus
British craftsmen
How much??!!!
Why is it 3 seat? Cool though!
Upon Vinnie's request he wanted 3 seats. Vinnie in the back, driver and security. Your Design, Our Creation.

Has he told his insurance company, as DVLA says it’s a 2.5 litre still!
What happened to the guy who carved the walking sticks?
Simon Heath - he's still going strong and making some magnificent sticks.
