It sounds to me like she was in danger of sexual assault because why is he trying to search her? Why is he trying to take her somewhere? She asked repeatedly but him to call the police and he refused to do so.
Exactly this guy was perving
I was thinking along the same lines...
Cause of how he was bouncing quickly from straight forward to center field then threatens a tackle right to verbal rhetoric trying sending her to the exit only Gate...
I wondered if he was corralling her off out of sight to his own place where he controls the situation.
But she's has got it going and he cannot succeed.
STFU.. wtf is wrong w/u people
I watched the whole thing on TikTok. First he said that “the manager” saw her through cameras that she was stealing. 2) he threatens her by saying his gonna call the police when he should’ve just done it 3) he later says “now they’re telling me to just let you go. You’re trespassing” 4) she called the police herself 5) she or her lawyer called the manager on a later day and the manager had “no clue” that even happened.
That's not right how they blaming the security when all she had to do was open her purse and she didn't want to is already suspicious.
@@santossarmiento5600If you wanna give up your rights go ahead the rest of us know the law. I don't have to show anyone anything. He is a glorified mall cop. Why did he have a pistol etc? He looks like he's ready for war. He did this because it made him feel powerful

Gets better. After independent investigation the guy is listed as license inactive, so technically he wasn't even supposed to be acting as a security guard, his security guard license lapsed and was never renewed.
In order for a SECURITY GUARD ... IE a private citizen to detain someone they need to have WITNESSED the crime... NOT SUSPECT the crime. He can NOT detain anyone because he SUSPECTS they may have done something, he has to KNOW they have done something. His actions border on harassment. She is NOT obligated to stop and show her receipt at ANY retail establishment that doesn't have membership rules, for example Costco. Know your rights... when you are leaving a store you DO NOT have to produce a receipt if you do not wish to do so nor empty your pockets. You can oblige the Loss Prevention staff, but you do NOT need to do so.
Sure, Seattle is becoming a cesspool. I live in a neighboring city and frequent Seattle, it's sad what is has become. However INNOCENT people who are going about their day shouldn't be harassed by wanna be LEOs or are essentially cosplaying in a backwards NBA cap, wearing the American flag while asserting he's going to violate someone's constitutional rights.

Wrong, a security guard can NEVER detain anyone under no circumstances. His job is to observe and report!

As a security officer, I spend a lot of time trying to show the professional side and the only videos that get posted are the idiots in the industry.
As a former police officer and security officer, this man in the video needed some guidance. He was instructed a command by the client. He just needs better training when to detain someone.
That should teach you there are alot of idiots who are "security"
This guy had 2 body cameras and not one camera was recording that is very fishy. Another interesting fact is that if he really thought that she had stole, he wouldn’t suddenly change his tone when she demanded that he called the cops he started to demand that she leave the store before the cops came because he knew he was full of it.
As a woman this video creeps be out. It seems he was desperate to get him in a private area alone. I have worked retail and no man working in a store should be trying get a female I. A private area alone to search her body.
Yeah he seemed pretty aggressive in wanting to search her until she called the cops
They missed he had 2 badges.
Two badges being a wanna be cop
Too badges = twice the power.
America is a fucked country
Good for her! !
"Security guards" are like delusional sometimes and are bullies sometimes.
*having said that, the Walgreens on Pike would definitely be a place that something can go down where he would NEED to be acting like that- or need the weapons BUT NOT with an unarmed, non-aggressive, lady who is just there to pick up her prescription.
These bully "guards" need to use some REAL discernment and think before they speak! And not be threatening people who ARENT threatening them in any way! 🙄
💯
There's never any reason to carry that much gear, even soldiers don't need that much gear
Name ONE reason why they would need such gear. Even one reason. You can't.
Maybe if the city and state did their job, we wouldn't have to have private security guards who are trying to intimidate people.
@@maryjanesnow "The police have better things to do than increase the profits of private companies."
They literally don't if you know anything about law enforcement.
Some observations:
1. He has two body cameras. Why? Speculating a bit, Is one for personal use? The axon branded one is pretty expensive and would likely be provided by his employer, but I don’t see any indication that it is recording. The one with a green light looks to be an Amazon one that anyone can buy. You can find an identical one if you search on Amazon for “body camera”. Why is he recording only on his personal body camera? Why have a personal recording at all? What is he doing with the recordings? He stated that his body camera footage was not working. How did he manage to have two body cameras and neither one was recording? I don’t buy it.
2. He had handcuffs in his hand. Was she a threat to his safety? She was generally compliant and is a third of his size.
3. No need for a flashlight indoors.
4. He has two standard capacity magazines. Aren’t they (unconstitutionally) illegal in wa? Does he have a third in his firearm?
5. His earpiece doesn’t seem to be connected to his radio.
6. His radio setup is really odd. He is using a samcom uhf radio, and Walgreens does not use uhf frequencies - (they use a WiFi system). His radio is made to be a ham radio - so who is he talking to? It doesn’t seem like it is even turned on. It does come up towards the top if you search “walkie talkie” on Amazon though. And it comes with an earpiece that looks an awful lot like the one he’s wearing. To me, it feels like he wants to make it look like he’s getting guidance from someone else, when he really isn’t. Why would someone do that?
This is why people are calling him a cosplay cop. Thank you for your diligence.
He is crazy needs to be fired for attacking women
💯 It's worth finding out how many women he has done this to..
The only reason I can think of for two body cams is who owns the footage and when it can be released.
WTH, Impersonating a police officer, kidnapping, and license expired to be a security guard. This clown needs to be in jail. Walgreens and ACS get ready to payout this lady.
Low standards of hiring. Not properly trained. I remember when police/security wasn't all "tactical upped".
Why does the video not tell us what the cop did afterwards to address the situation? Oh that's right, they do nothing.

I live here. I see homeless people I guess but I have never been an actual victim of crime in Seattle, at least not in the last...6 years. Seems overblown. I have been to Walgreens, those guys are creeps I bet he's a perv. This city has got outta control cops that overstep and harass people seemingly just because they are bored. Now it's all these private security, some of which are undercover cops. Some of them are cool...but some of them aren't. For Walgreens, Tactical Gear would be necessary for Security. It also depends on the area.
If there is a witness of theft, security officers need to ask the individuals to put it back or buy it. And if they refuse, then it’s just plain and simple “you are trespassed”.
I go to this Walgreens & I've seen this guy in that Walgreens! These stores downtown Seattle are being destroyed by theft and they also have to deal with the Karens
funny how it's only stores that can afford the losses. its not like mom and pop shops are being robbed.
And in this case the obvious Karen was the unlicensed security guard
His last name is actually Vinegar and the woman would likely describe his demeanor toward her as being like vinegar. lol. Why argue with him? Technically he had not detained or restrained her in anyway., though he was following her and menacing her verbally by saying what he was going to do. She should have walked out of the store. If he put hands on her... or blocked her from leaving that is definitely when she should call police and lawyer. Stores suspect Black people of shoplifting all of the time, hence the term shopping while Black. Unfortunately, that is not illegal, though it is distasteful, disrespectful and unfair.
This guy wouldnt be necessary AT ALL if Seattle didnt have HUGE crime problem due to lax laws and no actual consequences for criminals. This dude is a symptom of the bigger problem that the city refuses to address seriously.

@@indigvilet896dude he respectfully asked her to show him what’s in his pockets and even said he doesn’t think she’s stealing, he was told she was stealing so now he has to do what he was hired to do. It takes 2 seconds to show your pockets. If you’re not stealing it shouldn’t be a problem to show your pockets, she just wanted to play victim really do the most for 15 minutes to deter from the fact that she’s under suspicion and liberal Seattle including their police department ate it up.
Why do I have the impression that he forgot his hand grenades at home that day…. 🤔
Meanwhile the security firm’s lawyer is saying, umm y’all gots a problem!
If these people just let the natural order of things happens, they won't be suspicious. A reasonable person will comply and show gratitude then head out of the place. This store and so many others has routines and protocols to prevent theft now, all thanks to your protests in the past against law and order, classic law of the few!
until their is more footage on both sides i wait to cast judgement. also they more security guards like him. its a joke over here in CA now considering how the crime is their compare to WA
There is more, she called the cops, the cops contacted Walgreens and the manager he claimed "Told him to detain her" didn't even know that was going on, they contacted his job AWS Security (a contracting company) and even THEY didn't know what he was doing!
Does he need all that??? Have you seen seattle!? Im surprised he doesn't have more on him.
Wanabee cop security guard overstepped in this incident. . But BS to the security consultant that said he was over doing it. Here in the Bay Area non aggressive security guards have been assaulted, stabbed, and killed by firearm. I think intimidation factor with firearm is necessary in all retail establishments. Our government has entitled these deviant criminals to do what ever they want with impunity.
His M4 is missing
