"Drama?" This isn't drama. This woman has been running the town like she's the head of a mafia family. Calling it drama is making it seem like this is just some personal squabble. She's robbed the town of almost $10 million in how she's corruptly mismanaged their funds. The town had a 3 million budget surplus and now they're over 7 million in debt. She's had peoples' businesses closed for not donating to her campaign funds. She's spending the city's budget on first class flights and hotels all across the country. On one of these trips, one of her subordinates is accused ofSA after drugging another staff member who worked for her, who Tiffany fired afterward. Some of her critics have even had drive-bys done on their houses, that she is 1000% the culprit of.
This isn't "drama". This is the most blatant political corruption in recent American history.

A Dolton cop couldn't arrest Holmes for what happened in Las Vegas, but he could've called LV police when it happened.
It appears he wasn't aware it was non-consensual until the interview took place back in Dolton with the victim. At that point, he should have contacted authorities in Nevada immediately.

Holmes showed the woman in bed naked and Holmes did some inappropriate things to her… He’s an accessory to the crime.. He should’ve been on the phone with the LV police reporting the crime IN PROGRESS as he was beating the door to Holmes down.

Great story Regina waldroup!! For the life of me I don't understand the thought process of bringing in Lightfoot. More tax $$$ wasted! Lightfoot is corrupt as well and holds NO powers needed, i.e. subpoena powers, to conduct any worthwhile investigation. The AG or FBI needs to investigate!

Everyone is working hard on exposing that fraud of a mayor and her minions. It shouldn’t be about who gets a trophy, which is another problem within itself. That’s a different topic though.
Awarded for what exactly? What did she say that you didn't know. Everybody has investigated that could investigate. All the people that could make real waves took a look and didn't get in the fight, why, ask yourself. Did she over spend, did she buy to much, did she talk to much, did she hire to many or fire to many, if yes is your answer, great. It's morally wrong, bad and not good for the community, but was it illegal, until the big boys step in one should assume its not. Plus there are things in place to stop wrong, don't assume the Trustees against her is not playing to your distrust of her.

I am not sure how one could compare having to get information from the News, and every now and then those of us local to provide information to a Chicago Local News Station that is at EVERY Meeting. They need to look into the whole city not just the major, police officers, and anyone associates with the mayor.
A Dolton Officer cannot arrest the Trustee. He has no jurisdiction because the crime allegedly happened in Las Vegas. The Las Vegas police would have to investigate, issue an arrest warrant and the Trustee would have to be extradited to Las Vegas.
That Dolton Officer should of notified LVPD when he became privy to the info.

The British press have picked up on the story of Dolton earlier this year and I, for one, am gripped on this from the other side of the pond in London, England, United Kingdom 🇬🇧 Tyrant Tiff needs to be locked up and the residents of Dolton need to stop paying Lacey and his goons for her security detail. It is unbelievable the amount of money that has already been settled by the village; at the expense of the taxpayer, for violations by Lacey and his goon squad.

The fact that they hired one of the worst mayors of Chicago to serve as special prosecutor (Second only to the current one) tells me they deserve what’s going on due to their voting choices.

What's an out of work polician to do? School superintendents in N.J. operate like this. Get canned in one district get picked up in another. People, we are paying for this shit.
The Dolton officer had no jurisdiction in Nevada. He could not have taken more direct action in that regard. Why didn't he call Vegas police? Because based on the information he had he likely didn't know exactly what happened. Remember...that he got the initial story from the Trustee. At that point he may not have known what really happened for sure. But he at least notified the victim. In a case like this...the victim should be the one making the report. In fact, that is required....the complainant has to call police. An officer in another jurisdiction (out of State) is essentially a witness...and just a security guard for the mayor. His obligation is to be a good witness and come forward...which he did. But he was working for corrupt leaders. For a rookie...he did ok navigating a situation he wasn't trained for.

So glad you are covering Dolton. I live in Michigan, but my heart goes out to the people of Dolton. I am so sad that an African American woman uses her platform in such a horrendous way. I hate the platitudes she uses frequently, as if the residents are illiterate. From listening to the residents speak, they are intelligent, hardworking, caring people and I hope they get the relief they need.

NEVER drink alcohol, in a bar, with a colleague, on a business trip, in a remote city. Didn't she learn anything from "That 70's Show" actor Danny Masterson? Someone is going to put a "date rape" drug in your drink and it'll be VERY difficult to bring the perp to justice. It is better to "just say NO" to alcohol in a situation even remotely like this.
