What is your favourite way to boost your confidence and do you think that age effects confidence? I'm genuinely very interested in this topic, so don't hesitate to start a conversation with me ☺! Please subscribe if you enjoyed this video, it means so much - thank you ♥︎!
14 year old guy from india here! I always struggle with confidence and always feel i'm less than others. I always think to myself in class why nobody wants to become friends with me or talk to me. It affects badly. I will get throught it but please dont stop making these videos!!
Hello my friend! I really hope you try some of the ways to boost your confidence mentioned in the video - I know they help, because I often need a boost of confidence as well and they do help me 😊. And I know that if you start feeling confident about yourself, it will also be way easier to make friends ❤️. You are worthy, you can do this, I'm convinced that you have beautiful qualities to offer (but you must start to see them yourself!) 💪 and anyone who has you as a friend should consider themselves lucky 💫!
i have a question. Whenever i tell my self i'm worthy, i'm good enough or even i have very good qualities within myself, a nagging feeling tells me that i'm being egotistic. Do you have any solution to battle this feeling.
First of all, I do recognize this problem. When trying to fuel myself with positive affirmations, I sometimes struggle with thoughts that tell me that these positive thoughts are arrogant to have. But that is the negative voice inside my head, the inner critic, the fear driven voice that tries to keep us safe and dismiss anything that feels unfamiliar to us, because it thinks that the unfamiliar might be a threat. It is a good thing that you noticed that feeling, that voice! Now you can talk back to it! Whenever I hear that voice inside my head, I now tell it things like: " Stop it. What you're saying isn't true. You don't have to be afraid. Loving myself and my qualities is not egoistic, it is not selfish nor arrogant. Loving myself brings out the best in me and the most beautiful version of myself and that is a gift to others! I first have to love myself, so I can be a better friend/son/brother/... to anyone else."
I truly believe confidence comes from how you are raised. Of course I can speak for myself in saying I was raised in New York, Italian household. We were taught to speak up no matter who it was, not to care what other people think about you only the person looking back in the mirror is who you have to answer to and please and be proud of. I raised my kids that way s well as drum that into my grandkids. So far so good. Basically in a nutshell, I don’t give a rats ass who thinks what about me …that’s their opinion to which they are entitled to have. Sounds cold but I’ve never had a confidence issue.
Thank you , Nicole, for another thought provoking video. I really enjoyed being invited into your living space today..Your colors are beautiful and calming, same as the colors in your artwork. I love your little dog too💕 I agree with Christine’s comment although I can’t say I was particularly raised with self confidence I gained it more over the years. At some point in life I stopped ‘ performing’ for people so to speak.I’m a bit of an introvert and I started spending more time with myself and that was a real game changer for me.I love doing the things I do and spend less energy worrying about what others think 😊 So I guess for me, aging has helped with gaining more self confidence. I have to ask you, there is a certain very muted lavender color in you palette, where does it come from? Is it from a rock you source in your area?
Thank you Debbie for sharing your thoughts with me, I appreciate it so much 🥰! It is nice to know that aging might actually be a natural confidence booster and then I might be able to stop working so hard for it, haha 😉. About your colour question: I work with earth pigments as well as natural chalk paint from a local brand. They have this wonderful lavender blue within their product range 🥰
