Impromptu visits are a sign of poor management and bad leadership. Let your juniors work. If they fail, fire them and hire those who are both competent and committed. Period.
You're wrong since I would say impromptu visits are the best way to see how an office actually works on a day to day basis. More CSs need to conduct such visits so that public servants are always on their toes when serving kenyans

I don't think this will bring any change. It took my friend to get his passport in 4 years, but upon trying the known way, he got in 3 days.... that place is rotten. All the staff should be fired and charged. Thanks Proff, though

Am also shocked at what is happening in Nairobi. Mine was also ready within two weeks here in SA. The service at the Kenyan High Commission is also very efficient. So what is happening in Nairobi? Looks like we are going backwards when one had to bribe to get a document.

One way we can support this fight against corruption is to stop paying 'facilitation' monies to these officials. This is how we are also culpable in feeding this beast. Similar to how feeding a snake causes it to grow larger and more dangerous, our actions can exacerbate the issue. In a digital age, many of us are essentially keyboard activists. We should utilize our platforms to publicly expose and condemn these officials (we can establish a centralized online platform for this purpose - we are such experts with receipts). Even if the government doesn't take significant action, we will have a clear record of these corrupt individuals whom we should avoid and work to eliminate. I am sick an tired of seeing Kenya being held hostage buy people who are for themselves, never mind the generations to come. We are collectively responsible for protecting our present and future. NO ONE WILL COME AND DO IT FOR US!
