Mr Waziri, apart from everything passport processing, another major problem is in the customer care desk, the staff assigned to assist members of the public are arrogant , some are ill informed of what they are required to do and others do not care at all.
To streamline the passport office , do a open office plan with counters 1-z to the final application process. Arrange waiting areas just like Huduma centers, all in the open except printing. The small office becomes overcrowded
It's my humble request for you Hon. Kindiki if you can camp there and make sure all the passports applied are given to the owners because everything will back to normal the moment you step out.

The passport should be treated as a Identification Document to be issued not as a favour but as a mandatory service to Kenyan's the CS should not be grading them as urgent or in urgent si favour to anyone. That part of urgent or not is where the loophole is.
I suggest those who are looking for passport to go out for medical treatment ,the should have there own specific block or room, cause sickness can't wait .or the pain can't stop a little that ,one is looking for a passport.
Imagine the plight of sickly patients waiting to get the passport to hurriedly go for a life saving surgery or seek medical attention in India being dragged thru the menace that is happening at Nyayo house and have to wait for months on end in their prevailing health condition to get their passports? This document should not take more than 2 weeks to process.

These immigrations officers mint cash to a tune of Hundred Thousands in a good day through bribes. Target potential clients are lndians and Somalians, who are moneyed and are ready to part with handsome figures, but the rest are treated like refugees.
