Bart's teacher is named Krabappel? I've been calling her Crandall. Why didn't someone tell me? Now I'm making an idiot of myself!!! Leave it to Homer Simpson.
In the first couple of seasons Eve Plumb looked like a typical California kid. The tan complexion and the vivid blonde hair. It was a cute look, almost "Coppertone ad" in a way.
They both had their hair bleached. Jan's mother was constantly brushing her hair. Cindy's hair started falling out and they had to stop bleaching it and that is why her hair is darker in the second season.
Always enjoy seeing Marcia Wallace, a big comedic talent. The Bob Newhart Show, Match Game, and much more. And I heard she once did a stint on a daytime soap opera in the 1980s.
@@needles1987 Thank you for adding that role here; honestly I feel a little ashamed not mentioning Mrs. Krabappel in my original comment. Huge oversight on my part. Edna was such a fun character on such a cool sitcom. Loved her. And that laugh, that single little burst of "Ha" was always a delight.
Jan’s hair is so so beautiful! When Eve Plumb lets it grow out, it’s still so amazing! She wears it so short these days, you can hardly see it, but when she lets it grow out it’s amazing!
Long blonde hair was always the envy---it was and continues to be rare. Even my blonde hair had darkened by Jan''s age here. I missed it because at age 3-4 I was such a little towhead.
@@msr1116 I was too. But mine started to darken around 12-13. By 14, I was coloring it. And colored it for decades. Both darker and lighter. They say whatever color you rocked as a kid, you can rock again by adult, if you’re coloring it that is. People still become amazed when I tell them I color it lighter blonde, even tho my natural color is dirty yucky dishwater grey (blonde)
"Yellow and tartan with chains !!" so pre-punk, you cant go wrong, even milk and cookies and then she reads NOW magazine...looking for a wig "something crazy" .. Jan totally rocks !!
The middle years of The Silent Generation (1928-1945) and the early years of The Boomer generation (1946-1964) give or take, were mostly parents during this time in the 70s. Raising latter half of Boomers and GenX. (1965-1980). On average.
If that was her goal, then all she needed to do was comb her hair to completely cover her face, put on a pair of sunglasses and, voilà, the spittin’ image of Cousin It!

Jan wasted some money but she learned two important lessons: Be who you are, and blondes have more fun. Ironically, later on in real life, Eve Plumb became a brunette.
It´s not true. It´s the younger sister who is always: "the sister of" the others. I know what I´m talking about. The younger is always forgotten, because she is: "too young". Too young to understand so let´s not explain anything to her, too young to make an opinion because it will be inmature, and so on. Always invisible.
“I don’t think I’ll be up that late” 😂
I like the outfits they wore back then! ❤
“Oh I don’t know…something crazy..kind of like the style you’re wearing”
“It’s my own hair”
“Oh…I’m sorry”
“Not half as sorry as I am”😂😂😂😂
And it's not her own hair, in any case
Mrs. Krabappel!
RIP :(
She was also in season 3 getting Davy Jones 😊

Jan always had the prettiest hair although Cindy's curls were adorable.

@@eduardo_corrochio Funny you should say that, because I always thought Cindy with her curly blonde hair could have been the little Coppertone girl.
@@kaitiscarlett9022 CIndy's hair is just right, agreed.

@@susanb2015 But then it got really blonde again, when she had braids. I also like Jan. That red jumper at the beginning is cute ( for the times)

Agreed! It is hard to believe she has been gone for ten years.
Also Mrs. Krabappel in the Simpsons.

She was on The Young And The Restless in 2009

Jan was the best one in it, she was beautiful I think she was way nicer than Marcia. she was so groovy!

I said the same! I was worried that bottle of milk was going to spill when they sat at the table
she's so cool. wish I was half as cool as her.
Jan's hair is beautiful. 🤗
1970s parents were great at trivializing all of your deepest emotions. "I really think you're making too much of this."
Those days were like that, kid´s opinions weren´t important. I was a kid in those days.

I kept waiting for the sales lady to say “HA!” or “Sit down Bart”!
midnight temptress ...LOL
Midnight Temptress. The wig that changed Jan from a Brady into an Addams!
If that was her goal, then all she needed to do was comb her hair to completely cover her face, put on a pair of sunglasses and, voilà, the spittin’ image of Cousin It!
@@rsmith7994Pretty sure Cousin It isn’t black as a raven like Morticia or Wednesday……
Nor is Jan. I was referring to her own hair.
@@rsmith7994 Oh! Sorry, my bad. I misread............😅
I thought we were gonna get "Marcia Marcia Marcia!"
You'll have to settle for two Marcias (Brady and Wallace) in this clip instead of three 🤷♂️
So this is what Dr. Hartley's secretary did previously ....she sold wigs to adolescents. 😂
Pre-teen, tween. 😂🤣🤣🤣😂
Per the WHO, adolescence ranges from age 10-19.
Even in birthday invitation it's always Marcia Marcia Marcia 😂😂😂
The garments are fantastic!
I know how Jan feels. I grew up invisible.
This episode had lots of big names in it.
That wig, and the one Jan wore to the party directly parallel the wig Nellie Oleson tried and the one she ended up wearing in LHOP "Little Women"
Bob Newhart’s secretary?
She was cool, very talented. 🙂👏
I always thought Eve's hair was beautiful
Never saw this episode but the theatrical movie refers to this. Hilariously
Eve Plumb is a national hero.
Before Mrs Krabappel was a teacher
2:30 LMAOOOO 😂😂😂
Carol Kester! The secretary from Bob Newhart!
Edna from the Simpsons
She took the advice of her school's guidance counselor, Mrs. Cummings. She found a new look for herself, apart from her siblings.
Miss Krabappel!
So sweet. Thank you for posting.

Saleslady could have at least tried to give Jan a subtle change that matched her complexion. That black mop she picked out was hideous!!
It IS fiction... written AND directed that way... 55 years ago Karien...
LOL "Karien".... okay. 🙄
You cut out the part by when she actually chose one and bought it
Yeah, that's the important part.
Jan Brady getting a Brunette Wig makes her look like Sheneneh from Martin
I hear Jan on being the middle child

Midnight Temptress was better than the one she ultimately chose.
I wanted those cookies and milk after school. I wanted to walk away from my dirty milk glass and have Alice clean it up. My childhood sucked!
The saleslady should have done all that she could to dissuade Jan from buying the wig.
Still wanted her money though.
Sure... so you'd not be complaining 55 years later.... good grief. It IS a fictional SHOW.
Jan wasted some money but she learned two important lessons: Be who you are, and blondes have more fun. Ironically, later on in real life, Eve Plumb became a brunette.
Marcia really does not have sibling intuition here. Jesus.
