Many thanks for the great tutorial, guys! As detailed and quality, as always :) I've already seen the main lead and riff construction in a number of your tutorials, but this topic is apparently perpetually interesting)
I have zero music theory knowledge, much to my detriment - but I'm wondering how the last bar works musically. Like you say it goes off key slightly, but it still doesn't sound wrong? Is there any rules as to when you should / shouldn't do this or just a case of listening and if it sounds good do it?
Hi Jake. The last bar doesn’t work musically if you’re referring to the chord being in the scale of E minor, which Neptune is. The last chord in the sequence is B major which does work tonally though. The best way to explain it is musically you wouldn’t expect to hear it, but in the right chord sequence it can work well and give a great impact to a sequence. We hope that makes sense :)
Awesome new release thanks Metta & Glyde
A good evening to watch this wonderful tutorial ☺️

Wow! Super impressive, love your editing how you take it straight to the track itself at the end 👏🏆

@@MettaGlyde Very interesting cheers guys!
I think this last chord is harmonic minor chord (D sharp-Fsharp-B)
Just Google harmonic minor and you’ll see how it works 😊
Which DAW is that?
Bitwig :)
I wanted to ask: is the track name "Neptune" in honor of a planet or a sea boss? )))
Named after the god of the sea!
