Man, I just drank this one and got next to zero banana. The only time I could pick up on any was when I was consciously thinking about trying to taste banana. This one just didn’t do it for me. While part of me is glad I was able to try it, another slightly bigger part of me would have rather picked up two more bases instead.
Yeah I agree with the ‘natural flavours’ thing. Can’t trust that. Interesting how you both taste differently on this one. Thats normal of course. Seen all these variants now. Just gotta see you rate them on the last video.
The bananas were definitely present, but cinnamon was undoubtedly the dominant note picked up, especially by Todd. I still got plenty of bananas, especially on the nose. We would admit that as we continued to sip on it after we went off-camera, it improved a bit, but not nearly enough to sway us from landing this as the bottom variant of the lot. Where the backyard and Angels Envy seemed to do an excellent job of balancing out the stout to ensure they weren't overly sweet, the bananas foster was just too rich and cloyingly sweet for our taste. That said, everyone's palates are different, and I can see many people loving this. I'd be curious as to your opinion if you happen to grab one. Cheers! ~A
Whew...that is a bit steep, especially for this one. It's really sweet and decadent, which some people will probably love, but it was too over the top for us and lacked the flavors we hoped to find. You'll have to let us know your thoughts if you pick up a solo banana foster. Cheers, Charley! ~A
@@tommydude969 170 is great for all six... I was under the impression he had a shot as a 6 pack of Bananas Foster which I just couldn't pull the trigger on, both at that price and because I felt it was the weakest of the lot this year. Cheers!
This year's releases sound boring and lazy. I didn't see a lot of creativity coming from the 2023 lineup. I'm sure the Angel's Envy and Eagle Rare are decent but that's just their stout aged in those casks which, in my opinion, should be the same price as the base version since there's nothing else they did with those variants. I may just get 1 bottle of the base version this year and pass on the rest.
While the Bananas Foster definitely wasn't my thing, the rest of the lot, in our opinion, was great, and I do have to give credit to the Prop for using toasted rice in the grain and making a really good beer. I also agree about the tag on the Angels Envy and ER being steep. Out of curiosity, what are some of your favorite BCS variants of the past? Chees and thanks for watching! ~A
I didn't get banana on the nose or in the taste. I thought this was a cinnamon bomb. Highly disappointed. I will not be buying a second bottle of this.
Picking up my bundle of varietals on Friday at Binny’s. 🥃
We're expecting a full report 😁

As you can see from our review, we 100% agree with you! Cheers!
I paid $21.99, and I scored it a 98/100.
Wow! Glad you loved it! We definitely thought it got better as it opened up a bit. Overall, 23 was a fantastic lot! Happy New Year, friend!
I love the difference in opinions on this one... I'm sold on it LOL Cheers fellas 🥃
Todd's, Bananas - B-A-N-A-N-A-S 😎
Im also a big banana lover
CHEERS😎
Finally...welcome back, Jay!

Really appreciate you watching all the videos! We really thought 23 was a stellar lot for BCS. On to 24! Hope you have a great holiday, friend!
When you say all cinnamon I hope it’s not like 14 that is undrinkable for me. Dang I thought this one would be a hit.

I had a chance to get the 6 pack from Binny's here in Illinois but they wanted $170.

All 6 variants? If so, makes sense. 2 of those bottles are ridiculously priced

@@2TEN90 it would be a great price! A local store around me sold a set of 5 (no proprietor) for the same price, and it sold out in minutes 🙄
I’m tasting the same as Todd. Cassia bark too strong and not enough 🍌
What's up Jeff! Yeah, just not enough banana on this and way to much Cassia Bark. Cheers buddy!
Very disappointed in this. Very little banana taste. It's an excellent stout, but not a banana stout.
100% agreed Jerry...was our least favorite of 2023. Cheers and thanks for watching.

Glad it wasn't just us! Cheers!
