Ka pai kare. Some of us carry his name and his time here brought nothing but misery. He is a product of the royal seal and was sent to calm or agitate the natives of Aotearoa. The rest is history as they say. A legacy of the aweful testimony the English brought here.
Do you really think kids will listen and learn this? They're having trouble already with basic literacy, and only a passing rate of 67% passed the minimum in reading, writing and spelling, half of them can't even read a book. It's not getting taught at home and it's not getting taught at schools. It's both that need to come together for the knowledge to be handed to the younger generation not souly one educator. And I think that's the real problem, cause sadly most of these kids parents are the same with basic or minimum literacy etc and also their heritage and Whakapapa Māorı or Tātai knowledge they don't know. You can see it all across the country, we all need to go back home to our marae and gather our tātai and hapū. Kia ora.
@@29Ni8 all I know is that division is from and of the devil and all pakeha in NZ fought and died with maoris some islanders ww2 they sent our young boys to be do their dirty work and and got rsa's in return that shows they dont give a f about any of us we work for them

@@farqusada6939 Wrong, there are plenty of Maori that don't have European ancestry. That's a narrative that's been repeated time and time again and it's just absolutely incorrect.
How can we move forward a country if all you want to do is focus on the past? Terrible things have happened in the shadows of history, Maori fought and killed each other forever, Europeans colonized many lands and, yes, did terrible things, but also wonderful things. It's up to us to, yes, educate our children, but to also move forward together as one people, because that's what we are now.
You cannot change the future without looking to the past. A lot of Māori are rightfully pissed that they lost a lot of their land and now have disproportionately negative outcomes as a RESULT of how colonisation stripped them of their land and culture and treated them as second class citizens. You would have us forget all about this while there are clearly inequalities as a RESULT of this?

Your lack of ability to form a coherent sentence leads me to believe your opinion is of no value.
