Peel Pals Episode 1: Dan Rubin & Willem Verbeeck

For the first ever episode of 'Peel Pals' we teamed up with Dan Rubin and Willem Verbeeck and headed to Roosevelt Island, NYC.
We gave them each a pack of the legendary Fuji FP-100c instant film and an Intrepid 4x5 MK4 to go and shoot whatever they like with.

I wish Fuji will bring back this instant film. I never got to try it and I have a Polaroid back for my RB67.
Looking forward to my 18 shots of One Instant to arrive though!!

James Lane you can still buy it on eBay. There are some on there that are only a year expired. I have a Polaroid back as well and looking to get some soon!

Honestly I would not recommend shooting this film with an RB67. If you have the instant back, the 6x7 frame size is not large enough to occupy the entire image surface. You would get vertical black bars on the side of the film. The best way to shoot it would be with a 4x5 camera or one of the top end glass lens Polaroid land cameras. Also, seems like few people know, but there is some that is only a couple months expired now. The last production run expired in 08/2019.

@@mattmaberry you can get up to 8x8 on this, I believe... because there are 6x8 regular backs for the Mamiya. Don't see why not I can't get 8x8 size images but thanks for letting me know.
Probably will get an Intrepid 4x5 soon

If you ever shoot FP100C _Silk_ use a 81B Warm filter to get rid of the blue cast.

I'm forever curious.... why do British say 5x4 and 10x8 and Americans 4x5 and 8x10? .......... Is it that we (British) are shrinking in our outlook and the Americans optimistic?

@4:38 agree with Dan, my FP-100C shots always looked best underexposed 0.3-0.5 stops. So ISO 120-150 instead of ISO 100. 😃
