God bless all who truly considers and read this. Even if we disagree we are still brothers and sisters. No judgment here but to me, I think the term 'grace' has been misunderstood being separated by time so long from Jesus to now. Sin is defined as transgression of the law. 1 John 3:4 Many judge and condemn homosexuals for sin. As it is but so also lying, adultery, eating pork, breaking Sabbath, rape, murder... and many more you can read in the first 5 books of the Bible. God tells you what's good and what's evil. We don't get to pick and choose which we like and dislike. And remember this... Satan is the lawless one? And what law would he be without or against? Now that you know. Read Romans 6:15 with the correct definition of sin. Are we saved by keeping the Law, nope! But let me set a thought before you. There once was a driver called Bee Leaver Bee Leaver knew the posted speed limit on the roads were 45mph. But since they were late for church. Decided to run stop signs and speed to hopefully get to church in time. As they were willingly breaking the law. Suddenly, red and blue lights appear in their rear view mirror. It's the police! Bee Leaver pulls over and turns off the car. The officer walks up to the window and says: Officer Gracie: "Do you know why I pulled you over? Bee Leaver: Yes, I'm sorry officer. I confess, I was speeding because I was late to church. Officer Gracie: You know that's against the law. I'm going to have to write you a ticket and punish you for it. Bee Leaver: Please Officer Gracie! I already have all the points on my license I can get. If I get anymore I'll lose my license and if that happens I'll lose my job. Which means I can't pay for rent or my families needs. Please have compassion and mercy on me and forgive me! Officer Gracie: Since you confessed your sins and seem to be genuinely remorseful about this offense. I will pardon you. Now... go and SPEED no more! Bee Leaver: OMG thank you officer Gracie! What would a truly repentant driver do after being shown unwarranted mercy and grace in this situation? A.) Turn on their car. Put their seat belt on and check the mirrors pulling off safely into traffic obeying the posted laws about driving. Or B.) Turn on the car. Slam on the gas pedal spinning the tires and kicking up dust and rocks in officer Gracie's face. Speeding off down the road. How do you think officer Gracie would feel if Bee Leaver chose option B over option A? Did any of Bee Leaver's works save them from the ticket or was it by officer Gracie's mercy? Can Bee Leaver boast about getting out of the ticket? So also is the life of a believer. 1 John 3:4 Everyone committing sin also commits lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness. Hebrews 10:26-29 For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries. Anyone who has rejected Moses’ law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace? Revelation 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. Who is the lawless one? Who's law is he without or against? Will we fail at times? Yes! But it says those who practice sin meaning live life completely disregarding the commandments of God. Why need an advocate if sin is no longer punishable? Sometimes in our zeal things can be misunderstood. Often some messages may not be what most want to hear. If in the last days deception has been dug in so deep and so effectively woven in society after years to build up. Its hard to let go of the traditions of men and accept the truth of God. Man has a lot of pride. To know that we were wrong is a hard pill to swallow coupled with the fear of something new and unknown, misunderstood and doubted. Imagine how people viewed the prophet Elijah when he challenged the prophets of baal? Or when Jeremiah came to speak the Words of God to God's people. The people rejected the prophets words. But who's Words were they rejecting truly? I present a thought picture to you. Imagine a diamond about the the size of a kernel of corn. Relative to its size still quite valuable. Much like the truth is. Now imagine a plate of glass 5ft by 5ft. Pretty large in comparison to the diamond. Yet, still even with much larger mass, the value is of no comparison. If I set the diamond next to the glass plate with about 2 feet of space between them. How easy would it be for someone to locate the valuable diamond? Correct... pretty easy. Now, let's say there's a wicked person who wants to make things much harder for you to find whats truly valuable. So they pick up the 5ft by 5ft piece of glass and shatter it into a thousand little pieces and set the diamond somewhere in the midst of the glass. How much more difficult is the diamond to find compared to the glass? The diamond is the truth. The glass is the lie. Whether it's 5ft by 5ft or shattered into many pieces. There's only one truth but many pieces of lies. It will take time to sift through the glass to locate the diamond. Of course it's possible to find but not easy as one would think. The truth doesn't care about our feelings. It doesn't accommodate our ignorance. It has no affinity for our preferences. It is and always will be the truth regardless of what we want it to be. Either we conform to it or we value glass over diamonds. The diamond cannot be false and cannot be falsified. Knowing this... answer this question. Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he reveal His secret unto his servants the prophets. Where is the prophecy that God would send His Son to do away with the commandments of God by instituting a new covenant? Diamond or glass? Use Scripture verses only to answer. Prophecy is not of ones own interpretation. Remember... Jeremiah 29:13 ‘And you shall seek Me, and shall find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart Find the diamond!
