Matt, have you ever used a Butler tube amp? If even still available. I had one in my 1998 993 C2S Porsche. Focals, McIntosh head unit CD, 50 band eq, Audison 8” subs firing up off the back window. No AK at the time. So far… the best sounding stereo I have ever had.
@@therealmatty_s I just started listening to you and Gary podcast I'm 33 year old but the stuff is so informative I can't get enough of it hopefully you two get back in it!!
All your builds are incredible, but if you could pick 1 to be the flagship system in car sq, wich would it be? Also is Tesla the most challenging to upgrade?
That just simply means that your Tesla is your reference. It is the best you have heard. If you have heard far superior, then it would put what you have in perspective. Think about when we all had DLP TVs in the late 90s. We didn’t think it would get better. If you would look at those TVs today, you would want to vomit. Because your reference is current day video as seen in stores, restaurants, and movie theaters. That’s when you know it’s time to upgrade. Because you have seen something at a much higher quality. Same goes for your Tesla. If you have been exposed to an accurate soundstage, a vastly better stage width and stage depth, better tonality, and greater dynamics…..you would be quickly upgrading because you know that quality exists. If you can point out where one speaker is coming from in your car, there is huge room for improvement. If the subwoofer doesn’t sound like a real kick drum located behind the lead singer in the front of the dash, there is room for huge improvement. If there is no separation between the Instruments, vocals, and band members…. Then there is huge room for improvement.
If a stock Tesla system sounds incredible to you that's fine....but youve never heard a high end system with Focal/Mosconi etc and have it all installed properly.
HIFI can be streamed from Tidal, fyi guys. It’s WAY WAY better . Hella more resolution. This is just an app built into the car. Read up on the stream it’s much higher bit rate.
Who is disagreeing with you? Tidal would be perhaps the best resolution to achieve out of the oem radio. But not the installed equipment in the car. You are limited to the performance of the factory DACs and hardware. You are not passing any higher than cd quality through the oem radio. That would be done with a handheld dap like the Astell & Kern SP3000 or at minimum an APTX hd BT chip to combine to your DSP so at least you have high bandwidth (24/96 streaming)
Hi Matt, as always well done. Thanks for your support. Kind regards from Switzerland, Armin
Hope it turned out great!!!
Beautiful work.
Thank you so much!
Looking super clean Matt!
Thank you so much!
Very clean install!

Wish i could hear it. Ut looks amazing. As always, you do great work. How long does a build like this take you from start to finish?
A build like this is a week and a half
Focal 8s up front-as good as it gets. 🔊 🔈
Love it simple but complex 👍
Sometimes, those are the best ones!

What do you use to fix the factory 40hz roll off from the mcu? Is the DSP all you needed or is there a way to bypass the stock pre-processing?
Great job
Thank you!
Cost for this set up? Great work!👍
Matt why do you need extra sound processor when you already have the MOSCONI amp inbuilt with dsp ?
I’m not sure what you are referring to? We have a helix DSP amp and a Mosconi mono amp for the sub.
I been wanting to put a system in my model x
Are you connecting the Titan8 to the Penthouse or the Front Battery?
Hate to say it cause I love his work but my plaid has zero need for a better system. Factory is incredible. Best I ever heard in a car.

@therealmatty_s well said. Justification for realism, harmonics, sound staging, and perfect imaging in car audio.

Cost of this type of Install?
No videos I have found show any cost. I would love a ballpark.
