Enjoyed this video and Adrians as well. What a perfect little find. Love the fact you are philosophical and then straight away ssy how lobely the wine is lol
Been there a few times many years ago as a family (including you) before the trees were cut down. It was easier to find. Mam was always spooked by the atmosphere and pleased to leave. Do you remember the skull engraved in the cliff face?
I think I'm basing some of my camp spots on those family walks we did in the late eighties and nineties. Yeah, I remember that. It's gone now. It remains a spooky place!
Nice one Graham (and Adrian) - it's not somewhere I'd have camped, it's got a certain 'air' to it, and it's cold and damp there even in summer 😬 But great to see someone camp there, and in bivi's as well! It used to be a lovely meander through the forest to hit the hidden waterfall, but it's been cut right back for a good few years now - mind it's still a mission to find. Enjoyed the vid, as always, and one hopes your mental health hasn't taken a tumble after the red wine 😂😂 TFS and ATB DVS :)
Yes, it's a bit harder to find now. It used to be a FC trail walk but it's changed so much now, with the trees coming down and paths obscured. Thanks very much Donna and my mental health is ok 😉Those wine and beer reviews are getting harder to write! ATB, G 👍👍
Cracking location Graham , I don’t know about spooky but that water dripping all night would have me pissing all night long 😂😂 Nice setup and some great food , the little bushbox is great for around camp atb Dave 🥶⛺️👍
A great spot that. I went a few years ago but it was damp and the midge were still about later in the year. I know what you mean about that feeling as you feel ambushed in there 😂. Great video as always and always watch them all. Look for to the next one as always.
Great video Graham, what an amazing spot! I LOVE a good venison burger mate, unbeatable on a cold winter camp. Thoroughly enjoyed this, thanks for sharing the experience 👍👍
Fantastic video brilliant I love to tarp link the rear tie out to the trekking pole in a v its sweet I do most of my camps using the same setup Great location too Beautiful country most never bother to see👌
Thanks very much! Yep I love this little set up, it gives views all around with providing protection from above and doesn’t need any trees etc. Cheers and ATB, G 👍
Brilliant mate ,cracking vid , loving the craic as always , that’s definitely my favourite hidden gem in Northumberland, it has got that eerie feeling whilst in there , great setups too ,burgers looked the biz ,wine review wey ya some lyrical genius 😝😝, belta Graham ,thanks atvb Deka 👌🏻💯👍🏻
@@dekacoombe4595 Thanks for the inspiration mate- and the rations! It does have that eerie feeling doesn’t it? Special little place. Those burgers were too class, I’ll be getting those again. ATB mate and thanks again, G 🙏👍
Really enjoyed that mate. Loved the star timelapse and the Fairy/Goblin atmosphere . I have had some creepy "was I asleep or was dreaming " moments the last being under a tarp just off Blea Moor trig point when a very thick set black shape crossed my view of the blood moon and stars ..it stopped as if to glare at me then passed . My blood literally stopped in my veins......
Oh, what a great story, if not a great experience! I love tales of the spooky stuff that happens to us when out in remote places! Glad I’m not the only one who dreams this weird stuff. Cheers, G 😮👍👍
I have been to that Waterfall a few times on circular day walks … it really is a hidden gem . I have also been to what I would class as another almost enchanted location not too far East of the Waterfall . Enjoyed your video … brings back nice memories . ETA When I walked the area the trees had not been cropped but they were dense and my Garmin GPS did not work well … tracks faint ... not well used … even then what was on the map was not on the ground . Once amongst the trees possible to become disorientated .
It’s absolutely magical isn’t it? Love the place. I remember hiking to it in the 80’s and 90’s well before any FC harvesting and the difference between then and now is like night and day. Totally different aspect now but the dell itself remains much the same. I think I know the place to the east with a charm of its own. Thanks for watching, ATB, Graham 👍
What a magical location very beautiful mate. Great video pal (love the dad jokes). And then burgers looked amazing. Thank you for sharing your adventure 🍻
Great video, really enjoyed it. Think the sound of the waterfall would have been a bit much for me all night. Must try the moorhouse burgers, I pass the shop a lot with work👍
I can recommend the sausages as well - top class! You’re right about the waterfall, the sound dominates the whole dell, but got used to it enough to sleep, ATB, Graham 👍
What a beautiful spot Graham , the Gaelic term ‘Obair Nan Sithichean’ comes to mind about where you’ve been with Adrian. A place to navigate to for solitude or water torture!!
I’ll have to ask you what that means Nick. Sounds like a beautiful phrase though. The sound of the water does dominate that dell- you have to get used to it !
I thought it was only me who hears voices camping by water, glad to know I am not mad lol, very atmospheric spot to camp. Figured out the spot might not visit it till the summer on a day hike, good to see places like this, will leave it as it should be left.
@@dino19671 glad to know it’s not just me too! Well done for figuring it out, it’s an amazing place to visit and I haven’t seen much of it on YT. ATB, G 👍👍

@@grahamswildcamping Cheers. Can't believe I've actually been to that area several times, but completely missed out on going to the camp location in the video. It's also in one of my guidebooks I've used for years, so I don't know how it's eluded me! I'm dying to head back there now to visit it.
