Beautiful old souls? These guys were far from beautiful and had nothing close to old souls. They made “music” that was miserable to listen to… that screaming is so awkward and miserable. You’ve gotta be some kind of weirdo to think this is good music.

When this came out I was a freshman in highschool and I used to listen to it religiously.... I used to dream of how things would get better but as an adult I can say it never really gets easier. I wouldn't go back though, good riddance to the teenage years
I was also a freshman. I had the silence in black and white CD and DVD combo. Life was tough for the majority of us who turned to and listened to bands like Hawthorne Heights. One of a kind for the Era and an instrument to the emo scene and emo bands.
2 years later, two years further into adulthood for us, I turned 40 this year and can say without a doubt that I'm alive and living my best life moreso today than I ever did back in my teenage days. Hard work and self improvement and growth and family.
Geez man life is tough for all teenagers, not just in America but across the world. It just is......... Most would say in hindsight it was the best times of their lives though. Some people are just to dramatic. Also, for worse, this era of this type of music promoted depression and self harm as something cool and glamorous to impressionable teens which is ridiculous.
You'd think they'd know the pacing of their own song. Drummer is trying really hard to maintain the correct tempo, but the lead singer is going way too fast.
Their arms look clean, so no razor blades were used during the recording. 1950- Those guys need a haircut. 2006- Their hair looks awesome!! Times have really changed in 55 years.

His death was bought on due to substance abuse, my guess he was abusing the benzo class drug (clonazapam) which gives the user a very calm and high affect at high doses. mixed with Vicodin which also acts on the central nervous system would make it a very nasty cocktail of drugs. doctors can and do prescribe benzodiazepines and opioids together, but at low doses. Casey’s body would of completely shut down that tragic night from abusing such potent and powerful drugs. RIP none the less.
He didn't abuse anything his wife and the band attest to that he just mixed them up one time probably a honest mistake then fell asleep and never woke up
This band literally always fails miserably when it comes to live performances. The vocals are so horrible here. He is practically talking the song or squeezing out flat notes.

No, what had happened was, he had a root canal, so they gave him an opiate for the root canal, and it interacted badly with his antidepressants/anti-anxiety meds (I’ve also heard anti-seizure meds, but it doesn’t matter) so no, his passing was an unfortunate accident. He was definitely sober.
