The grapple is gonna be busted. Pretty much says screw your ladder guarding 😂😂
I hope it’s like the Siren Trident, something that has limited uses and is not immediately available to everyone.

Honestly I think I prefer that, means you can’t just ladder guard, you gotta actually win your 1v1s
@cr4zed686 yeah until you are a solo sloop and get triple or quad grappled on. You don't stand a chance and it's another l for solo sloopers pretty much don't stand a chance
I'm still waiting for the boarding axe.
I wish it was just a throwable grappling hook or a harpoon gun you gradually reel in like the fishing pole, the spider-man ninja tech with how fast you move with the grapple gun looks crazy
grapple gun would really help getting to places you normally need to be shot out of a cannon from with accuracy, which is a hell of thing to set up
Or even getting shot out of a cannon and grappling a boat in the air
I am a sucker for double barrel shotgun like weapons so i know which one im rocking.
Yeah the should have went with a lasso style grapple hook. Having a effortless no skill gun that just instantly teleports you to the ship is not gonna for the health of the game
Imagine they add a meduim range gun some kind of mix of a pistol and eye of reach or even step up a notch and mix a double barrel and eye of reach making a double barrel rifle with less range than the eye of reach but more range than the pistols while doing around 50-45 dmg a shot or 60 as a single shot
new weapon variety is fun, that was allways one of the staler aspects of SoT and I was afraid we would never get new things. I am so glad the new stuff they are adding also adds more utility.
Obviously the weapons are probably going through balance changes and that’s why they aren’t telling us the numbers, but I really wish we knew whether or not we can pick up a throwing knife no matter what weapons we currently have selected. If someone throws a knife at me and misses I want to be able to pick up their knife even if I’m running snipe sword.
i think that the throwing knife is probably going to take a weapon slot so its unlikely that this can happen
Finally Knives
I really hope the grappling gun is gonna be something like the trident of dark tides, something that’s rare and will help balance out it’s overpowered nature.
@@CaptainHubz I imagine it will take up a weapon slot, and likely be rather mid like the rest of this stuff is once it’s in the game
i honestly think the grapple gun will be a negative thing. 1 it makes boarding very easy at the cost of a weapon slot/ ammo and relies u to use 1 weapon, and in HG boarding with 1 weapon puts u at a bigger disadvantage than if u boarded another way, island travel i cant see this being used as it is just not worth it since zip lines are being added, i think there will be niche scenarioes where this will be useful but in HG at least i think it will just take away from boarding.
People are acting like the grapple is gonna magically make anyone a sweatlord master boarder.
95% of the time people using it will still have to climb the ladders on your ship. The grapple will just be used by people in the water to pull themselves in.
From that low an angle you are never gonna be able to pull yourself onto the deck. Even by hitting the mast, the side of the ship will clip you and cancel the reel in.

Idk, the grapple seems far too problematic for pvp. Let alone how many new stupid good spots it will allow players to hide in or snipe from. Some people may just be annoying and fly away from you like Spider-Man, forcing you to have to search all over for them again and again
Grapple is gonna change the pvp by a lot
i think blunder snipe will still be favored since it is the most versatile and has the highest damage output making it the most powerful combo, and a competent crew can board without the use of a grapple gun it will most likely be used by noobs. The grapple takes away your sniper effectively leaving you with one weapon, the sniper is arguably the best weapon, this leaves you at a big disadvantage , i think it should not be added at all and if it is then as a pick up weapon, similar to the trident.
Idk how to feel about new weapons i like the old ones
If you feel that way you can always just use the old ones, it’s not like they’re going anywhere
@@mewfishmeowsclesthe problem is we’re going to be facing a player with a grapple nearly every time there’s pvp. Its gonna be mad annoying and pvp could just devolve into whoever has the most players wins since they could cycle new people to board ships without failure. Even if you’re great at combat, it’s not possible to stop that many boarders from pulling your anchor down while fighting them all off

I can’t play because my pc was compromised and rare false banned me, even when I provided all the evidence need to prove it wasn’t me they should focus on thier stupid system and get a better support team who doesn’t just out right permanently ban you for nothing
grapple gun is absolutely ridiculous and shouldnt exist lmao let's just make it into fortnite and add jetpacks too

if the grapple gun comes out i will less play sea of thieves because as a solo player you are done, finished, dismissed.
