Just Yoshe By rotations do you mean transitions? Like where to move when? Cause if that’s it then it varies from team to team depends on what kind of defence or offence your team plays
Our coach explained to us the rotations. He told us that our rotation is counter clockwise. Try to watch volleyball videos for you to understand the rotations. Our coach gaves us homework our homework is to watch volleyball videos. Our game is near so I always watch volleyball videos and we do trainings.

Any Libero tips I've been playing since 7th Grade and I'm in 8th Grade right now, but I've done a ton of camps and clubs so you could say I'm a bit advanced , so please give me some advanced tips! Thanks!
I’ve got you! As a libero myself I can help you out. On serve receive, make sure to always stay on your feet. That is critical. Always make sure to create angles to your setter while serve receiving too. Remember to stay relaxed, and move your feet. When digging, make sure to not watch the ball. Watch the hitter. Watching the hitters’ shoulders are very important. If they are tilting to the right side of the court, make sure to react and quickly move over there. I always go with my gut and it ends up being right. Also, never hesitate. If you think the ball is yours, IT IS YOURS! On free balls, make sure that you are very accurate with your passing. Make your passes high enough for your setter to get a good set off of them. If your setter is playing back row, make sure to always take the free balls and serves from them. You always want your setter to get second hit. Another tip is to always watch your corners. Many skilled hitters find open spots in the court, and it is your job to cover them. If you are unsure where your hitter is hitting, go to the spot that is open on the court right as they are about to jump. They usually cannot react fast enough to hit in a different area and you should be able to get the hit up with ease. Finally, make sure you do not sink up into the offense. It is an easy mistake to make, and I am caught making it frequently. Watching your setter and hitter get up to hit makes you think you want to cover the block, but DON’T! Stay in the back row. It is very easy for the other team to push the ball to a corner, and if that ball hits the ground, it is without a doubt yours. If you have any questions I am glad to answer! And remember to always have fun and keep a positive attitude on the court. Good luck! ❤️
Sophie Ketterling Let me add something, I’m a server so meaning you Libero has to be always ready due the fact, us serve can float our serves! Some of us can float a lot and pcontrol where our serves go! We usually aim for the deep court 1st position but also float our serves just to confuse you (float serves mean the ball does not go straight but moves right to left while going toward you, even if it’s right to left, it still be really powerful. Sometimes, just me I think. Like to add a spin to our serves ( my coach hates me doing it uwu) and we also flat our serves! Us servers our give our team a point or the other team a point. I always wanted to be a Libero says I shouldn’t waste my strength as Libero and I should be a server, if you know me in real life, every time I serve my teams is like, watch out for head people!! I have .weird aiming with heads XD and also do play for provincials, school or maybe even international? I play for provincials, sorry if you couldn’t read this... I have horrible grammar. I also an opposites uwu.

Overall Setter- control the offense of the game, they also always get the second ball and sets the ball up for attackers. but you need to be really good at over and under hand setting. Also, they have to be able to read the court and have good communication Opposites(right-side hitters)- they are located at the right front-hand side of the court and they hit from that angle. They can also play from back and front row, with that they have to be good hitters and passers. Its also great for they to know how to serve, set, block, and spike. Outsides- they also play the back and front row. But they need to be a strong attacker. They need to have a lot of skills because they need to know how to block, serve, pass, spike, and play defense. These players are very important to the game. They most often set and the strongest attackers on the team. Liberoes- they play back row and only back row. They wear a different color shirt and can enter and exit the game without subbing out. They can also replace anyone on the court however they mainly play for the middle blockers. The are the best passers and defense in the court and they need to know how to set. They also need great agility because they are the strongest diggers and passers on the team. Middle(middle-blocker/middle-hitter)- They are usually the tallest person on the team and they are really important for blocking. They need to have a good serve and have good attack and blocking skills Defensive Specialist(DS)- They can sub for any player. They are very strong passers and blocker(it depends on their position). But they are usually there for defense which means liberoes and the DS can be on court at the same time

Maddie Faye i’m a libero, and whether or not you serve really depends on your rotation and coach’s decision. i usually sub in/out for the middle blocker. sometimes the middle will serve in my place, and sometimes i will serve instead of the middle. usually i serve at least 2 times every set.
Why do I see some comments about Haiykuu? 😂😂. I mean I agree with those who talk about the Libero position tho... even though during games when a lefty hits at me the ball doesn’t spin sideways and I shank. If you wanna be a Libero, my top that works for ME, when the ball makes contact with my forearms and the hit is hard, either I absorb the ball the letting my body take the energy and push my body back, or when it hits my platform I sort of pull my platform back if it’s a receive with my arms out to me sides. And finally, sometimes I break or separate my platform to control it. If you want to be a Libero, I hope I helped you. Good luck out there my fellow Liberos. 💞
CuRe_Vinhzzz that’s great advice, usually I put my legs into it (that’s what I was taught to do) and then I push up as the ball makes contact, making a larger impact. But if I dive for it I usually just try to make a safe landing so I can keep an eye on the ball better and make a better hit higher.

I know exactly how you feel. I play in two different teams and in one team I already play opposite because I'm a good blocker and a leftie but the other trainer just wants me as a middle because I'm one of the tallest there even though I'm just about 6ft

If your arms are strong you should be libero but if your good at hitting the ball with your Palm you should be spiker also if your fingers is good enough to push the ball up you should be spiker. And just so your know if your not the shortest person in your team you MIGHT Cant be libero
If you are quick on your feet and can read hits or serves well you could be a libero or DS if you'd rather have a more steady direct job you could set setters control the way the game goes if you want to try hitting you could it is recommended to be tall or above average height but there has been shorter hitters if you can get your approach and timing down you are good to go
As someone who is a 11 year old and is left handed, I say that being left handed gives you MUCH more advantages. It also can be of use for spiking with both hands.
I love her videos so much, I just got on my volleyball team at my school and the youngest kid there so I watch her videos just to reassure my self of what I’m doing 😊
It is, Liberos are a very critical position to play as. They bring a lot to the team and are a very important place. When others can’t get to the ball it’s the liberos main focus to get the ball before it can touch the ground, if they don’t the other team gets a point. That’s all I know for now but I’ll come back with more information when I get more.

I'm a Setter and I watch haikyuu but I feel offended. Middle Blockers aren't only there to block they are actually super duper useful they can be used for center attacks and A B C D AND BROAD QUICKS and back row attacks with them are so good when you use the back row attack at the right time, Middle Blockers specialise in quicks and blocks so if you're fast and you like to hit fast balls middle blockers are for you. THEY DONT JUST BLOCK that makes them sound useless if they JUST BLOCK you shoulda said that they're specialized in blocking but I appreciate the video.

Billie Eilish typically if you’re short, you’ll be placed as a libero, but that doesnt mean you can only play that position!! try them all out and play whichever one you like best, goodluck!

Coaches are suppost to like you and support you im pretty sure the coach does like you and is just tuff on you, or maybe he/she expects more for you. Get to know your coach and talk to them about the position you want.
Muffy Loves Hugs I can relate like I work so hard at practice when others don’t and half the time he forgets to play me. Like I’m the only one who puts full effort into block, run the whole warm up without stopping, do my steps for my spike and out in effort when peppering. As soon as I mess up in a game I get taken out mean while everyone else can make 5 mistakes but stay in. What annoys me the most is that he lets some that don’t have their overhand serve serve when I have mine. But good luck to you

hiya! ive been really interested in volleyball for a while now and i was wondering, as a 5'2 female would my best option be to be a libero? because i dont think i would be able to block very high or spike with much power (im working on these 2 issues though) so would the best to be a libero? just curious x

I'm slowly learning more and more about volleyball all because of haikyuu I've always wanted to play volleyball but now I actually have the guts to tryout XD
Overall
Setter- control the offense of the game, they also always get the second ball and sets the ball up for attackers. but you need to be really good at over and under hand setting. Also, they have to be able to read the court and have good communication
Opposites(right-side hitters)- they are located at the right front-hand side of the court and they hit from that angle. They can also play from back and front row, with that they have to be good hitters and passers. Its also great for they to know how to serve, set, block, and spike.
Outsides- they also play the back and front row. But they need to be a strong attacker. They need to have a lot of skills because they need to know how to block, serve, pass, spike, and play defense. These players are very important to the game. They most often set and the strongest attackers on the team.
Liberoes- they play back row and only back row. They wear a different color shirt and can enter and exit the game without subbing out. They can also replace anyone on the court however they mainly play for the middle blockers. The are the best passers and defense in the court and they need to know how to set. They also need great agility because they are the strongest diggers and passers on the team.
Middle(middle-blocker/middle-hitter)- They are usually the tallest person on the team and they are really important for blocking. They need to have a good serve and have good attack and blocking skills
Defensive Specialist(DS)- They can sub for any player. They are very strong passers and blocker(it depends on their position). But they are usually there for defense which means liberoes and the DS can be on court at the same time

Maddie Faye i’m a libero, and whether or not you serve really depends on your rotation and coach’s decision. i usually sub in/out for the middle blocker. sometimes the middle will serve in my place, and sometimes i will serve instead of the middle. usually i serve at least 2 times every set.

Why do I see some comments about Haiykuu? 😂😂. I mean I agree with those who talk about the Libero position tho... even though during games when a lefty hits at me the ball doesn’t spin sideways and I shank. If you wanna be a Libero, my top that works for ME, when the ball makes contact with my forearms and the hit is hard, either I absorb the ball the letting my body take the energy and push my body back, or when it hits my platform I sort of pull my platform back if it’s a receive with my arms out to me sides. And finally, sometimes I break or separate my platform to control it. If you want to be a Libero, I hope I helped you. Good luck out there my fellow Liberos. 💞
CuRe_Vinhzzz that’s great advice, usually I put my legs into it (that’s what I was taught to do) and then I push up as the ball makes contact, making a larger impact. But if I dive for it I usually just try to make a safe landing so I can keep an eye on the ball better and make a better hit higher.
Your Defender hmmmmm, for me I only help push the ball with my legs and use my body when the ball is either a free ball or it’s not a hard hit.

I know exactly how you feel. I play in two different teams and in one team I already play opposite because I'm a good blocker and a leftie but the other trainer just wants me as a middle because I'm one of the tallest there even though I'm just about 6ft

I would love to be a middle blocker but I'm not tall lol, but I think being the opposite would be the perfect position for me, my tryouts are in August and it's currently may so in 6 months. I will be practicing a lot, wish me luck guys through my journey!

If your arms are strong you should be libero but if your good at hitting the ball with your Palm you should be spiker also if your fingers is good enough to push the ball up you should be spiker. And just so your know if your not the shortest person in your team you MIGHT Cant be libero
If you are quick on your feet and can read hits or serves well you could be a libero or DS if you'd rather have a more steady direct job you could set setters control the way the game goes if you want to try hitting you could it is recommended to be tall or above average height but there has been shorter hitters if you can get your approach and timing down you are good to go

As someone who is a 11 year old and is left handed, I say that being left handed gives you MUCH more advantages. It also can be of use for spiking with both hands.

It is, Liberos are a very critical position to play as. They bring a lot to the team and are a very important place. When others can’t get to the ball it’s the liberos main focus to get the ball before it can touch the ground, if they don’t the other team gets a point. That’s all I know for now but I’ll come back with more information when I get more.

I'm a Setter and I watch haikyuu but I feel offended. Middle Blockers aren't only there to block they are actually super duper useful they can be used for center attacks and A B C D AND BROAD QUICKS and back row attacks with them are so good when you use the back row attack at the right time, Middle Blockers specialise in quicks and blocks so if you're fast and you like to hit fast balls middle blockers are for you. THEY DONT JUST BLOCK that makes them sound useless if they JUST BLOCK you shoulda said that they're specialized in blocking but I appreciate the video.

Billie Eilish typically if you’re short, you’ll be placed as a libero, but that doesnt mean you can only play that position!! try them all out and play whichever one you like best, goodluck!

Coaches are suppost to like you and support you im pretty sure the coach does like you and is just tuff on you, or maybe he/she expects more for you. Get to know your coach and talk to them about the position you want.

Muffy Loves Hugs I can relate like I work so hard at practice when others don’t and half the time he forgets to play me. Like I’m the only one who puts full effort into block, run the whole warm up without stopping, do my steps for my spike and out in effort when peppering. As soon as I mess up in a game I get taken out mean while everyone else can make 5 mistakes but stay in. What annoys me the most is that he lets some that don’t have their overhand serve serve when I have mine. But good luck to you

hiya! ive been really interested in volleyball for a while now and i was wondering, as a 5'2 female would my best option be to be a libero? because i dont think i would be able to block very high or spike with much power (im working on these 2 issues though) so would the best to be a libero? just curious x
