- @mr.bp-dcbg I tried to get a good run for ya. Hope that Amazonia death wasn't too painful to watch.
Character Request run. That special hurts like a mofo man. I probably could’ve been faster if I didn’t have to run for that health on Hong Kong or didn’t waste so many specials on LA. That’s the nature of this character. He can be very finicky to use at times.
LA: Slow. I’ve gotten 1:30 before on this stage but wasn’t meant to be here. Hammerhead made sure to annoy the hell out of me. Sucks when you can’t get them to group up and kill a bunch of them in 1 go.
Moscow: Much better stage. Love getting to blow two of them to hell early on especially when one of them is Outlaw. Spectre as usual doing his best to try and annoy me.
Paris: Average at best. This is one of those maps where Shadow can have a rough at times given how much flat surface this map is. Only place you can consistently get big damage is in the river or on the embankment above it. Typical Outlaw being an absolute ass.
Amazonia: Maaaan that death sucked. Stage was going so well at Warthog and his absurd armor just had to screw me of course. Really was a downer losing all those remote bombs.
Minion: Had to waste a bit of time to get those bombs back. Thankfully my special can carry me through this for the most part.
NY: Good time. Always happy to get through this stage relatively stress free. Well besides those two spazoids at the end.
Antarctica: RNG was on my side. Got at quick flow of enemies coming through the tele, along with one falling to their death. I’ve been having a rough go of Antarctica lately so I’ll gladly take this.
Holland: Easily the best stage of this run. Getting through Holland so quickly is a genuinely great feeling. Thank you Twister for letting me get that quick feed in the beginning. Made the rest of this stage as smoove as humanly possible. Of course that didn’t stop Brokehog from trying his damndest to ruin it.
Hong Kong: From the best to the worst. Close to 3:30 spent on this miserable level. Truly Warthog is a menace to society. His dementia ridden ass needs to return to dust asap. Also thankful again that broken ass Spectre chose to show mercy.
Dark Tooth: Dicey. Whenever you go into this battle with no turbo, it always puts you on edge. Didn’t help he wouldn’t give it a rest with those damn ricochets. Happy as hell he went on the ledge at the last second for that last special to kill him. The head was random as well, but he’s go no health so I was just able to mine him into submission.
Overall, this character is clearly very strong. Other than Axel and Twister he’s the got the best potential to clear this game as quickly as possible. Took awhile, but finally got a half decent run to roll with.
Would never have expected a time this low for Shadow. I'll give a more thorough response this weekend for this run and the Slam run.
You're the champ of Twisted Metal 2 Tournament now!
Big ups bro. Look forward to hearing your insight.
9:00 I can feel the vengeance in that return. He had a pixel of health
@@jubjub15 You know it lol. Warty always finds a way to survive with that insane armor he’s got on him.
Well, you gave Holland a piece of its own medicine that's for damn sure. I think a large portion of my frustration of the map stems from the fact that I do deathless speedruns, and just due to the fact that no matter what you come with or do, it will just kill you within the first 30 seconds with no real feedback.
Still not sure why you view the Hong Kong run badly because that's extremely good execution for how sporadic that map can be. Nothing there went as bad as it could because the bunch up you had in the beginning would've normally just killed me. I still to this day can't figure out Warthog...30% of the time he just runs at you in an unresponsive manner, then pulls a Sweet Tooth.
Paris is weird because you can go in the museum with the teleporter, and drop a few mines, and have them just run into death, but I have to say these computer players often seem somewhat sentient and sometimes either will not teleport or just ram into the wall or each other like idiots until the mines disappear. They go from being very predictable to bat shit random (which I honestly really like, but the execution is flawed because of how bad they can random cheat or the game physically forces you into danger).
Your strategy for Shadow is great with the T-Bone ram because normally I just take the damage because this game has this desire to prioritize the CPU players to the point where I start hating this game (That's actually what happened to you with Mr. Slamm on Antartica. I can tell you weren't allowed to steer towards him after leaving the teleporter. Stuff like that is what's absolutely terrible about such a fun comic arcade like game.
Everything in the run seemed "standard" for a good Shadow player and I can't give insight since you're the champ now.
Nice, bro. You are awesome!
Thank you bro. I enjoyed this request, that special is 👌. Made Amazonia and Holland breeze by.
