ahhhh the classic voice of adrian edmondson... JT, you need to watch 'The Young Ones' Classic British Sitcom... Hilarious , they only made 2 seasons but they were awesome
Omg yes please the young ones was the best ever comedy I've seen in my whole my life. Also Bottom was a great series too featuring rik and vivan from the young ones. Hilarious please please you gotta watch them you will be crying with laughter. I remember watching the young ones at my step mums with my brothers and sisters I was to young to watch it then but that made it even funnier. Highly recommend best British comedy at its best
These ads were voiced by the wonderful Ade Edmondson and loosely based on his most famous character 'Vivian' from the sitcom 'The Young Ones' about a group of students in a shared house. Vivian is a punk anaracist who tends to solve problems through the use of slapstick violence. Ade's long-time comedy partner was Rik Mayall, They also did a series called 'Bottom together' which again has a lot of slapstick violence in it. Ade is married to Jennifer Saunders another well-known comeddienne famous for her sketches with Dawn French and the sitcom Ab Fab. The animation for these ads was done by Aardman who made the Wallace & Grommit films which have received several Oscars. N.B The one with the cheese grater was initially banned due to complaints, but then re-instated hence the second one saying "I'm back!".

@JTReacts The reason they "fell off" as you put it, is because they went from the 90s to the 2000's and people started getting sensitive about it. Mainly because they could no longer show something harming itself. There were further restrictions in the 2010's. Never made me wanna bite my arm off! LOL
The voice of the Peperami Animal was originally Ade Edmondson, but Enn Reitel replaced him in 2014. The new voice of the Peperami (as of this year) is a guy called Keith Wikham. I am a huge fan of Ade Edmonson, and his is by far the best voice for the "animal." 😊
Pepperami is Pork salami with herbs and spices. It contains 150 grammes of pork to 100 grammes of product due to the meat drying process during manufacture.
Ade Edmondson is the original voice of the perperami, he is a British comedy legend. He was Vivian the punk in The Young Ones, Eddie Hitler in Bottom and also a Celebrity Masterchef champion. One of the funniest guys to come from these fair shores.
My brother was at a matchday one time when Peperami were doing promo with the Peperami van, he came back with bags full of Peperami and I ate only Peperami for about 2 weeks, it was amazing.
Ade Edmondson did the voices of the pepperami, he's a ground breaking British legend in the comedy circuit. A lovely man who created some of the most iconic comedy characters in British comedy history.
Just to point out if it’s not already obvious “it’s a bit of an animal” is basically double meaning… as in it’s wild but also the meat is literally part of an animal
Pepperami are still around and very popular, the commercials have been toned down but the product is the same, they have 4 flavours now, Original, Hot and Firestick and then Chorizo, thats not including the various other products they do including peperami pizza rolls now
Man your reaction to it grating himself is hilarious, love these ads, so funny. Yeah we can still buy them in our stores here JT, but they are pork not beef though.
The voice of Peperami is Adrian (Ade) Edmondson made famous by his roles as Vivian in The Young Ones and Eddie in Bottom you need to react to some episodes
I went through a stage of everytime I went to the shop I had to buy 1. I remember some of them, I had to laugh when jt jumped when the peperami scared him lol. The rolls weren't all that and the minis have a different texture, they are very tasty jt wud like them I think
The guy who voices the ads in the 90's is Adrian Edmondson who is an absolutely fantastic comedy actor. You need to check out Bottom, The Young Ones and The Comic Strip.
@19:54 Fun fact... In the nursery rhyme 'This Little Piggy' The little piggy that went to market didn't actually go to market to go shopping like everyone would all assume. He actually went to be sold to be slaughtered and produce pork based products.
JT, this salami meat stick is absolutely fantastic, Sadly, a lot of the stuff you’re saying in these out no longer exist like the noodles, but there’s nothing stopping you taking a pork barbecue noodle and add one of the sticks, but they don’t do the extra hot anymore, which is such a shame because that was the best one of them all
Beast reaction yet, JT! Your genuine horror! That's Macabre British Humour right there, and I think you got it! ❤😂 it's néiche but it's basically, black books, black adder, bottom, basically down on your luck but it's your own fault, comedy.... Billy connelly, he had the voice for it!
Yes, i definitely recommend watching Bottom. One of my favourite comedies growing up. My mum loved The young ones, although when they did the living doll music video with Cliff Richard, my little brother shat his pants.....😂
When you get to the newer peperami ads and you notice the change that was when the product got reduced in size as well. It'd about 2 3rds of what it was. Also the VA used to be Ade Edmondson!
I'd quite forgotten the original Peperami ads, but I knew what was coming later on, so I was looking forward to seeing how you'd take to the change in marketing style. Your reaction FAR exceeded my wildest expectations 🤣🤣🤣
I have some of these in my fridge right now (they don't need to be refrigerated but I like em cold) and they don't go off until the middle of next year. Great for a wee snack. I'm not sure but I think the only varieties that have survived are the regular green packet and the hot red packet. We love a good series of adverts that are completely unhinged.
Adrian Edmonson was much in character as the Peperami but DJ John Peel, who spoke the famous final punch line, 'It's a bit of an animal' was, weirdly, a vegetarian and much criticised for this at the time. The voice change in the later adverts is explained by his early death.
Pepperami is a sort of slim Jim. The animated ads are voiced by the genius that is Ade Edmundson.(see also. The young ones,The dangerous brothers, the comic strip presents,Bottom. And listen to his bands Bad News - spoof metal band which pre dates spinal tap and The Bad Shepherds his folk/punk band.) The adverts strapline “it’s a bit of an animal” refers to the behaviour of the pepperami and the fact that it’s literally a bit of an animal. Ade and Rik Mayall RIP comedy gods.
at the end of the 3rd one when u said this is good marketing i thought "wait til he sees the animated ones" and then the 4th one starts lol i cant believe how many of these i havent seen, the best way to describe a peperami is a spicy pork sausage
JT you should check out the Warburton ads it's a northern baked goods company, bread, rolls etc the cheek of the concept is they feature Hollywood stars in them playing it dead straight
I used to love Peperami, now I just about like them. But they've diversified too far, they do Chorizo pork, tapas salami, jerky, chicken bites, pizza buns, etc... but while they joked about, 'it's a bit of an animal', they also now do 'Vegerami Sticks'.
Tried the vegetarian ones before they're actually vile it's got the texture of like a pencil rubber and the taste of disappointment. No idea why someone would choose to still eat them after their first try.
Hard to see it as anything but a complete U-Turn in terms of brand identity. Especially with the very first ads, seemed more serious about the _meat_ thing. I've just thought of something, all of this vegan food masquerading as meat, it's like woke stuff masquerading as established franchises. They use the more popular and better established vehicle as a skin suit. Clever.
The Pepperami stick with arms and legs is what happens when Vivian from 'The Young Ones' does a voice over. In fact, he is the voice of Pepperami today.
It's like they got in a room and said "Hey, lets make an advert that makes kids never wanna watch TV again!" There were a lot of those dark, gloomy almost depressing things on TV when I was a kid. You should watch an episode of "grizzly tales for gruesome kids", a show that actually aired on a kids TV network in the middle of the day. Definitely traumatised some!
Hi jt ye you can still get them maybe some nice person from chat will send you some I liked to use them for fishing for carp they make a great bait for carp fishing
ahhhh the classic voice of adrian edmondson... JT, you need to watch 'The Young Ones' Classic British Sitcom... Hilarious , they only made 2 seasons but they were awesome
It's overrated.
Bottoms better.
I love Ade and the late Rik of course ♥

Enn Reitel: Replaced Edmondson as the voice of Animal in May 2014
Calling Jennifer Saunders a comedian is like expecting killer jokes from a 10 day dead cat! @speleokier
It was French and Saunders.
Ab fab was Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley
It's more Eddie hitler from Bottom if you ask me.
Minor correction, Adrian Edmondson does not play Vivian in the Young Ones
He plays 'Vyvyan'
The grater one was banned due to complaints it upset kids but the complaint wasn’t upheld hence ‘I’m back!’ 😂
Only JT could get jump scared by a Peperami 🤣 his arms did the flap like when babies get scared, literally crying laughing.
😂
I also got jumpscared by that same one, so I believe his reaction 100%
JT you should react to this again but with Anna. I'd love to see her face watching these😂
The earlier ones with Adrian Edmondson are the best. You need to look up Adrian Edmondson in Bottom, The Young Ones or Bad News. Brilliant 😂
3:17 Imagine getting jumpscared by a peperami though 🤣
I just happened to be reading this when it happened 😂
Omg I laughed so hard I choked and almost wet myself 🤣🤣🤣 I'm dying!
😂😂😂😂
I'm watching this in a park and I laughed so hard people all stared 😂😂😂😂

Ade Edmondson voiced these, he did an amazing show with his best mate Rik Mayall called bottom you need to react to an episode or two of that

You can’t they would go bad

More pork than pork is
Carling black label, Heineken , Carlsberg (don't do adverts). Boddingtons. John Smiths. almost all beer / larger adverts in the UK are good.

Nice
Just to translate the ad at 14:20 Arson fire = Arse on fire = ring of fire 🔥 🔥
Ahhh, the hot one.
Blimey, I'm slow on the uptake. I never thought of ringsinge till I read this.

The Cheezie voice was British Comedian Lenny Henry. He did loads of stuff in the 80's and 90's.

definetly the ads

The Peperami perfume was a spoof brought out for Valentine's Day in 1996...the computer game was real though

After that first screaming one I think JT needed a lie down after that 😂

Indeed, though despite encountering many 'extra chewy bits', I've usually resisted the urge to ponder further!
