Sugar and PET have very different melting temperature. Although it is possible to make clothing from plastic bottle, a simple cotton candy machine would not work. If it was so simple as using an existing machine, the company behind the "Polyfloss" would not have had to spend years in R&D for their machine
Thank you, I am brought to think a normal cotton candy machine would do... and yet we see the method working in the video! It woudl be nice to know what are the required modifications: just the temperature ?
while it may be impossible for a cotton candy machine to produce that you fail to realize that a wire is made with a very similar machine that has a temperature controller built in for varying types of metals... its an existing machine
I love this idea! I gotta wonder why it's not been a thing this last 40 years. But I also feel like I gotta bust on you just a little bit. So, nice job spinning garbage into garments, Rumpleskillskin! It's really an effective use of a cotton candy machine!
I noticed you didn't remove the bright colored labels and you mixed clear bottles with green bottles but the yarn came out snowy white. Also, I really think you would need a spinning wheel, and for gods sake use some ppe.
This video is so Hit or Miss that it hurts. Recycled plastic beanie, Genius Steampunk Nikes,Lame Recycled corn husk n leather n cloth sandals, Great Recycled plastic bag vest, Cool The hard plastic sole platform crocs, CRINGE The aluminum croc charms, interesting but very dangerous process indoors if not prepared, plus sand casting can be used for so many cool things.
The first machine looks like it uses the same concepr as a food processor, just improvised, the second machine is an cotton candy machine. The other machines are commercial machines used to make clothing threads or wires. I am not sure if those machines work like that though as recycled bottle plastics do look different Edit, small correction the first machine looks like the machine they use to destroy sensitive papers or documents. For the rest its like i said
The one to create the knotted sleeve is called an automatic knitting circle/loom or seems to be called a professional knitting machine or something similar like that :)
Are they other items that you have created through this process. The auto-weaver is very cool. Where can other acquire these the necessary devices to duplicate this process? Thanks in advance.
BUT YOU WEAR TOO, otherwise it's humiliating for those who wear a fez like this to have the recycling inscription. That you won't see anyone else in society besides the homeless wearing something like that. ... It's like labeling them.
yeah eco-friendly defintely not adding microplastics into the enviroment and into our bodies, also whether the plastic gets turned into a beanie or not it doesn't change the fact that it is going to end in the enviroment someway or another. What about creating beanies from wool
Hey I saw your video even the short video one and I’m very impressed about it and I was questioning what’s the name of the machine that you use for the process of making the plastic melting in to what looks like cotton floss
But be very careful about temu, because the company is owned by the CCP, and they are notorious for stealing intellectual property, altering it to pass as their own invention, then manufacturing millions of them to sell online.
@@johnjacobs3601I call bullshite. Read the label on modern watch caps. They're made of acrylic, which IS TOO made of recycled bottles. And winter coats for children have been insulated with acrylic stuffing since the 1980s, which says on the label tags: "Made from recycled bottles."
You don't tell me where to get the machines that make the diameter, brother, and that machine will also be needed to make your hat, brother, it would be better if you told me, brother, and in which country it is available that week, don't you tell me.
8 ways this is fake 1.he made cotton candy 2. if it were real plastic he would be warring gloves 3.the homeless man has a new jumper under the bag 4.they used plastic strait onto the fabric 5.they never put food in that bag 6.that fan wouldn't have worked 7.he wouldn't have worn that outfit if it were real 8.things like this aren't done by hand at all
This is a terrible idea. It's not just increasing the energy and carbon footprint (pollution) for that plastic-- which doesn't get rid of the plastic-- it's an extremely toxic process that no one should be doing. Cotton, bamboo and hemp make great yarn.
Wow i didn't know that plastic bottles are turning into clothes gloves sock and beanie i love it

Ingenious. Reduse, reuse, recycle done right.
