The literal depiction of: - Chad Superboy Prime vs Virgin Batclown My boy died a hero in the end. He was always just a misguided kid going through his puberty and loss.
Aint gon lie this chapter was trash asl and full of inconsistence 3/10 for the fan service everything else was horrible I mean how the fuck he died by his own punch i mean superboy prime dont have a power to shatter reality. He's so strong that he shatter reality so finally its just a normal punch for him so how he died
Long live Prime. In the end, even when everyone virtually hated and feared him, he went out a hero. And I like the relationship between him and Krypto.
It was Prime Time for one last time and it went out in a bang. I do love when comics get really meta, being super self aware of everything. Also 3:54 that evil Superman on the far left looks like Gambit. Don't know if it was intentional or not but hey, just something of note to notice.
It's not a bad issue but it kinda feels weird to give someone whose done as many horrible things has Supeboy Prime a happy ending (then again, characters like Lobo and Harley seems to get away with it so whatevs.)
Slight correction, Superboy Prime was technically created by Elliot S. Maggin and Curt Swan in DC Comics Presents #87. Johns didn't create Prime technically.
I have to say, I am impressed by the writing of this issue. The DC presents Clark is reading at the beginning of the story is issue number 86, issue 87 is where Superboy-Prime meets Superman for the first time. I feel this is the writers of DC accepting that Superboy-Prime is aware that all of his adventures since meeting Superman comes from the imagination of a writer of DC comics.
I love this story except it contradicts the main story lines ending. This would have been a better ending. And even better if he did take tbwl’s powers. Honestly I’m not convinced he didn’t use his powers and return himself to his universe. That’s what he wanted most
I wonder what the explanation for the ending is. Either Batman who laughs has a soft side or there is someone else watching capable of rebooting worlds. Meta wise the commentary is funny though. He is like a crazy Batman destroying the multiverse I don't even know what is going on in these comics anymore. Oh hey it's good old Krypto at least I know him even if I always thought he was stupid. He is basically a Boomer trying to fit into modern comics, and being pretty tired of it.
I guess the part after SBP dies is the actual final battle where the gold Wonder Woman arrives and beats the shit out of BWL which is still about to be featured in later issues and the "happy ending epilogue" is more like an aftermath of Death Metal
Well, I think is that Prime is the only hero that can bend reality and time with his punches, like when he beat the gambit Superman, so when he punched the Batman who laughs he destroyed his worlds and launch him to his original reality
Loved this story and the art. I was really hoping they would continue with a redemption arc for him. I just really hoped the Kent family would at least learn some of the change he had undergone and what he had done. The only small issue I had was with Conner pretending that Krypto was being hurt, in order to pick a fight with Clark prime. Going at Prime like he did was something a "younger" Conner would do.
Safe to say the final part where Clark is reading the comic is the result where the heroes finally defeated BWL/Darkest Knight and all the worlds restored
Clark Finally got the Happy Ending He deserves
Please don't phase him out, let's keep prime. Evolve him , and this tangent. It's brilliant!
Perhaps this superboy will be the one that appears in generations shattered/forged with the new team
Personally i wish that after this issue dc retires him, this was his perfect ending. Cant get any better for him than this.
@@jenisia3600 gotta agree, as much as I want it. It is finally what he wanted all this time, he just wanted to get home.

They're comic book characters to him. Why would he care?
Probably the best Death Metal tie in. Long live Superboy Prime.
But it was an "in comic" death and we see him reading the issue at the end we don't know what that meant for his character going forward.

Just one example of everything wrong with this chaptet
@@calboyalexander8181 uhhh getting blasted by the power that created 52 universes is not enough of an explanation?
It took long enough but they finally got around to utilizing SBP
Remember when Superboy-Prime was hated by everyone? Seeing the love that the comments section is giving him makes it easy to forget that.
I love superboy prime

@BatCatDickBabsJayTimBabyYoda StephCassDukeDamiKateH has purple light beams too.
It’s a kryptonian outfit. The eradicator wears that outfit in the death and return of Superman
This was fuking beautiful. Thanks for this, and hopefully they leave Prime live happily after.
I really love Superboy Prime. I hope he isn't written off out of existence or I'll never collect DC comics anymore.
Honestly i hope they never use him again, nothing they write for him can be as perfect like this ending for such a tragic character.
Krypto is the true hero here
Prime will be back .... at some point.... next rebooting...
Probable
Probably as a hero I hope
I hope not, he finally redeemed himself and was rewarded with the life he always wanted
I agree white all of you
Either don't return or come back as a hero
I utterly adored this issue is everything I want in a tie in (amazing action, progression of the story & a heartwarming character moment)
In the end he truly got to be Superman.
SBP is like super sayian gojeeta...or super sayian gotenks...so cool
You know what, death metal has been disappointing as hell, but this was an incredibly touching and well written tie-in
He's Called PRIME 4 A REASON
it's He's, and yes, PRIME forever!
THIS IS A DARN GOOD STORYLINE! THE ACTION IS MATCHLESS! THE ARTWORK IS SUPERB! DUDE! THANKS!

SB Prime died and went to his heaven
..
Wow..
You know how great this issue was when every comment is of praise.
I just want him to have a happy ending.
Wait what?? Uhhh... That's so meta. This comic is so meta.
BEST CÓMIC EVER!! broked my heart how kripto change super boy prime 😭😭😭 thats what a dog does ♥️
HANDS DOWN THE BEST STORY OF THE WHOLE DEATH METAL SERIES AND I'D SAY ONE OF THE BEST STORIES EVER PERIOD OMG GREAT FING STORY
Of course the only one that cares at all is the SuperPuppy
Damn this is a great tie-end (Someone show Linkara this)

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Followed Superboy comics as a kid... it nearly wrecked me when he went bad ...
Man this one brought a tear to my eye. Brilliant redemption. Went out like a true hero.
Not gonna lie, I got misty reading this one.

Did he just beat the fuck out of the Darkest Knight?.
Proof that even the most annoying and hated characters can be redeemed.

Noooo😭😭😭😭
Good dog.
But the suit SBP wears is designed to absorb vast amounts of cosmic energy so absorbing the blast should've made him exponentially stronger
Let my boy die and return to his world, bro.
@@cunnyman nah
The writers wanted to redeem Superboy-Prime with this story so any logic of their past writing for him goes out of the widow.
