Guys, please do not buy this flight controller anymore - do not buy brushed stuff at all anymore. F3's are totally outdated now. Go for F4 and brushless gear. Brushless motors will hold up way longer than their brushless counter parts and the price difference is not too bad at all, especially when considering that you will not have to swap brushless motors every couple of hours...
I still loved brushed builds , I actually have a brand new one of these in package from years ago , I came here to remember how to set it up 😂
Man, thanks for those beeper commands
Very welcome! The buzzer annoyed the fu*k out of me (in its default settings), also my neighbors started to complain (well actually they thought my fire alarm was going off all the time...).
stylesuxx will I have rssi on OSD with flysky flit 14 / 14+ IBUS ?
Great video! Very detailed. And awesome passes through the living gate at the end :D
Haha, thank you. Yes, the living gate was pretty fearless :-D
hi... i have the same board but only one motor triggers when i increase the throttle... why should this happen and how can i check if the board is fine?
Well, unfortunately this can have a lot of reasons. Assuming, that you still have the original BetaFlight version on there, I would recommend swapping the working motor around. If the one motor, that is working is not working on the other ports, I would double check the soldering.
Hello..thanks for your valuable information...it was truly helpful.
Can i use flysky i6 with this board?
Yes, but I would recommend you build something brushless instead.
@@stylesuxx no i want to build a brushed one...so will it work with the cheap flysky tx? And if so...which rx should i use...in this board..so as it suits the flysky tx...?
Thanks.
@@tanushmy OK, but why? You can use any ibus capable FlySky RX that works with the i6 - the FS-A8S should work.
@@stylesuxx i am looking for cheap fpv..dats y..n thanks for your valuable information ...
@@tanushmy Keep in mind that the brushed motors will end up being more expensive in the long run - you will be swapping them every 6hours or so...
I have my reciever connected to the board but when I click save and reboot it just goes back the welcome page
Hmmm, not sure if I understand your issue. What would you expect to happen?
@@stylesuxx when I click save and reboot on betaflight it doesn't save anything and goes to the welcome page on betaflight
@@angelavila9235 which version of BF do you have flashed on the board? Are you sure you are using the correct Configurator for your version?
@@stylesuxx oh yeah I wasn't using the right one thank u
Where to connect the wires of camera

Great video! Do you know if the Flightcontroller also works in a Syma X5c with original engines and gears? For a Flysky receiver I have to set I-bus?
Josef Noppenei could be quite possible that it will work. The syma has 7mm diameter and 20mm length motors. I run 8mm brushed motors with it. Yes, you have to set ibus for flysky.
Where are the boot pads for flashing latest firmware?
You don't need to shorten anything, just use DFU mode in Betaflight.
By using ppm encoder , can i use fsr6b reciever ?? I m using ct6b transmitter
Can i use ppm encoder ??
Plz reply
@@monubhagat3944 No. You can use iBus or sBus receivers. I am not sure what your usecase would be with that huge of a receiver?
hi, great video! what camera are you using to get video in and out?
oops, just realised you linked the camera and i now think you hacked into the video feed between cam and vtx.
Yes, check my other vids, I show how to modify the TX03 to add OSD functionality - or you get the newer TX05 ( goo.gl/9vwakT ) it comes with the OSD mod and linear antenna.
stylesuxx excellent, thanks very much!
Hi great review... Btw i have build quadcopter with this board. Do u know why the OSD is not showimg? I have enabled the OSD on BF. I'm using hacked eachine TX03 for the camera Thank you.
dn os for some reason I can not directly reply to your comment...
It is my 3D printed design, I added a link to the description. Thing 2170456 on thingiverse.
nice!
is it possible to bind radiolink r12dsm receiver and aio TX02? And motors 8520?
The TX02 can be used independent of anything else, it only needs power - but you will have to make the OSD mod if you want to use the Flight Controllers OSD - maybe you should go with the TX05.
The flight controller also supports DSM input, you just need to configure it accordingly in Betaflight. 8520 are the same Motors I use with this flight controller, no problems there.
Does this board has UART?? Because in the purchase [age, it says it does but couldnt find it.
No, also I can not see it on the purchase page. Depending on what you want to do, you can use soft serial...
Can i use fsr6b reciever in this fc ??
No.
I brought the f3 evo but need to buy the buzzer i dont known about the specification of buzzer so let know?
Just a heads up - this FC is already really, really old - there are much better options now. But anyways - every 5V buzzer should do, something like this for example => www.banggood.com/5-PCS-Super-Loud-5V-Active-Alarm-Buzzer-Beeper-Tracker-95_5mm-for-Racing-Drone-p-1117207.html you should be able to find smaller ones too.
Hello friend, I'm having problems on a card like yours, I did not save the original settings of it, and I did a firmware update for OMNIBUS 3.5.0, since then as soon as I connect the battery the motor 4 is turned on automatically, I tried several ways to fix the problem and I'm not getting it, can you provide me with the original settings of your card so that I try to fix the error of mine? thanks in advance.
Hi, would you still recommend the Realacc F3 Flight Controller, or do you think I should look at something different for my 65mm 7mm brushed builds? I would be using with a frsky radio. Do you still prefer it to beecore v2 / kingkong tiny FC ?
I still use this FC and I love it. Beecore V2 is interesting because it has an integrated receiver. Not sure which kingkong FC you are referencing to, maybe you could link it? I especially like the from factor of the Realacc FC and designed and improved my 3D printed frame around it. I think it is really a question of money, if the Beecore V2 is it worth for you, and it fits your "mounting style" go with that... Feature wise I would say, they are pretty similar.
stylesuxx king Kong flight controller. Discussion - ua-cam.com/video/bfir1S5SF0M/v-deo.html . Buy - m.gearbest.com/flight-controller/pp_619442.html?wid=21
Interesting. But since I use the Eachine AIO cams I do not need a VTX on board. Also this one is missing an OSD. Once you get used to the OSD you really do not want to miss it. It is especially good for PID tuning on the go, without the need of having a Notebook with you - just tune via OSD.
stylesuxx oh didn't appreciate the lack of osd. Yes that's definitely important. Thanks.
So, is the rssi value able to be monitored through the osd?
does this thing support 2S builds?
Unfortunately no.
Can you use this FC for tiny Whoop builds? And if so, what's the minimum size Motors you can use? please & thank you.
Yes, I am using it on my 3D printed whoop - check my other vids, there are a couple of flight vids. I don't really think that the motors are limited down, but the might be limited up. I am using 8520 brushed motors (8.5mm in diameter, 20mm in length), they are linked in the description.
Which frame did you use for this build?
do you experience one motor spinning up when you plug your battery in? i'm having that problem, wondering if you have any tips?
drewbooogie No, absolutely not. I would double check that you did not short anything while soldering the motors. The one motor spins up before arming, right? Which fw are you using? Ecs settings are set to brushed?
i just figured it out! thanks for bouncing thoughts back at me. minimum throttle was set to low (idle speed) so i think the FC didnt like that so each but up blipped the throttle
drewbooogie interesting. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for the video, lot of useful tips on this board! I struggle to get my receiver working. I set it to Serial and SBUS, but after saving, nothing happens on the receiver tab... Receiver (FMM-800 Mini FASST SBUS) and Transmitter (Futaba 14SG) are bound correctly. Receiver should output SBUS...any ideas? :)
Is the receiver properly set to SBUS and not to CPPM? Does anything change in the receiver tab when you compare Transmitter off vs. Transmitter on?
Thanks for thinking with me... I'm not quite sure how to check wether it's in SBUS or CPPM mode. But I do know how to change modes. Tried that a couple of times but with no luck. I'm pretty sure it should be in SBUS mode now. What I did notice is that sometimes in Betaflight, after connecting the FC, under Options - Receiver, it says SPEKTRUM1024 as Serial Receiver Provider. I change that to SBUS and click Save and Reboot. And then it mostly stays on SBUS... but not always. Weird. You didn't need an SBUS inverter?
Ow, in the Receiver tab everyhing is grey. No values. No data. I used different FC's with Betaflight so I know what it should look, but it appears the FC isn't getting any data from the receiver...
No, I did not need to invert, but I don't know your receiver, so maybe you have to. I have seen the Serial Receiver Provider switch when it does not "see" the right signal. Can you get the receiver working on one of the other FC's you have laying around, maybe we can then see what's going on with this FC,...
I guess it is has to do with the SBUS signal that will have to be inverted. I can't get it to work on a different FC but it does work on the old brushed FC I used before this FC... A different SBUS receiver behaves exactly the same. I'll look into this inverting stuff... hope I can make that as tiny as possible too. :) Thanks man!
if i want to flash to newer betaflight version what board name do i download firmware for ? omnibus, betaflight f3, f3 evo ? as you can tell im a noob
do you have an answer yet? i would like to know it too...
Thanks for the video. I ordered the same F3 controller, but either the controller is broken or i messed something up. do you maybe got the original dump? would be awesome!
Hmm, how did you mess it up? Flashed FW for a different board? Can you still connect with the betaflight UI?
Everything seems to be working, but in the receiver tab all values are on 0.
This is a known issue if your GUI and FW Version do not match up (ie.: the flashed firmware is older than the BF GUI). Either flash a matching FW version, or download an appropriate version of the Betaflight GUI. I would really recommend flashing version 3.2.x of the firmware, so you can have dynamic notch filtering,...
Thanks for this tip. Do you know where the boot pads are?
What do you need the boot pads for? I think they are on the bottom of the board.
hi, my flight controller arrived today and I plugged it into betaflight and everything worked until, when I went to change the receiver to sbus and click save and reboot, it does not save. Is this because I have not got my receiver yet (it is supposed to arrive on Monday) do you have to have a RX plugged in to configure it. Also I set up serial rx on UART3
Yes, that might very well be the case. I first set the serial RX and then configure the protocol. wait for your receiver to arrive and you should be good to go.
hello i have the same problem, when i choose sbus n save, after restart i see that the fc is set up with spectrum... i cant pair it with my flysky fs i6
i just updated my fc to betaflight 3.3.0 and now the receiver problem is fixed, so try that if you have the same problem
Dug one out of storage , but can’t set up the led strip any thoughts ?
Nah, sorry. I suppose you would need to run an old version of BF, since F3 support has been dropped some time ago or go with performance builds with stripped functionality...
@@stylesuxx dose cleanflight support the f3 evo boards still ? What about betaflight for brushed f4 evo as well is that no longer supported & I just have to use cleanflight ?
@@megahertz6787 F4 are still supported. Cleanflight is basically dead for 3 years, so yeah - chances are that the "latest" version still supports it. If you must use brushed, then I would rcommend to go with F4 - it should give you less of a headache...
@@stylesuxx I just wanted to build some brushed toothpicks again & bought an f4 & f3 evo so I can make 2s toothpicks specifically , didn’t realize the firmware could be an issue lol, so your saying that cleanflight is no longer around either ?!
@@megahertz6787 Nah, I don't think that anyone is using Cleanflight at this point at all... It seems you have been out of the game for some time. If you want to get into toothpicks, I'd really recommend going the brushless path. There are also quite cheap BNFs available.
Can it show RSSI on OSD? Thanks!
It depends on your receiver, but yes you can also enable RSSI to be displayed in the OSD
Thanks. I was asking because I have another FC from BG (F3 All-In-One) with integrated FrSky receiver and the RSSI just won't show up in OSD, but it does on the Taranis.
