You can Fight Anti-LGBTQIA+ Narratives! | John M Barac

At the age of 14, our Ambassador John was taught homosexuality as ‘abnormal’ in his biology textbook. Determined to change the ‘official’ narrative of homosexuality in Montenegro, John began his journey as an advocate.
In 2017, he was appointed the Executive Director of LGBT Forum Progress. Under his leadership, the organisation is building mental health, legal aid and social resources for LGBTQIA+ youth in Montenegro.
In his speech, he urges everyone to join him in fighting this harmful narrative so that no child ever again reads that they are sick or abnormal. Watch his speech to learn more about his work and how you too can champion LGBTQIA+ rights in your community, organisation and even country.
