Oh, pretty, pretty, pretty😍😍😍,love the glitter and sparkle😍😍. Turquoise is my favourite colour. Interesting comments about food safe resin. I use just4you resins, both of which are stated as being safe for incidental use but not safe ( obviously for food prepping ). I carry a warning label on my products that are suitable for use with food, ie, cheese, biscuits, chocolate, etc. I bought some of the Amazon moulds to make some decorations for my tree. I did mine in purple and white and turquoise and white. I did not like the snowflakes at all. They ended up in the bin - although I did take them back out once I'd calmed down. I admire your patience and attention to detail 😀.
🤣🤣🤣 Tazmin haaaaa you put them in the bin and took them back out again just made me laugh ... totally something I would do xx haaaaaaa x yes the food affects resin is interesting ... so the comment above says that Resin Pro are the only ones with a cert.... so does Just4YouOnline not have a cert ?
I use the pipettes you get with the cheap kits to fill in the indents on the ornaments, you have more control in dropping the resin into the gaps, plus you can use the tip of the pipette to spread the resin around. I have also found the pigment paste from Resin8, especially the white, takes a long time to cure, I add a bit of silver glitter to the white, just cos its Christmas and you have to have glitter at Christmas 🎄
Thanks so much Katee... I do have some pipettes left but the nibs on those are bigger than the tiny crevices in these snowflakes ... so maybe I need me some tiny pipettes 😍😍😍😍😍😍 good to know about Resin 8 pigment thank you xx
I thank you for this great video. I just started making these ornaments today. Now I know how to finish them. I filled them completely, knowing I was going to have to fill the other side.
Great job. I have these moulds and I painted the inside with acrylic paint and left it hollow. I used my polymer clay ball tools. It made the job very easy. I thought I was done making Christmas ornaments but after seeing yours, I want to make more.

Claire, u can take a toothpick or thinner popsicle stick and “help” (carefully) and “push the resin” to fill in between the layers of the tree Also pouring “slowly or slightly higher (I think) prevents (supposedly where we live w the cold and fluctuations in temperature) additional bubblage lol haven’t quite seen that but.. 💜💜
Absolutely GORGEOUS! I would love to try these molds too! I saw some on Amazon but wasn't sure if I wanted to buy them. I think you've talked me into it! LOL. Thank you for such a detailed tutorial on how to do these ornaments, Claire! It looks pretty tricky to get resin in some of those small little nooks and crannies, but I do have those resin dropper things that I've never used that I think would work well for molds like these. I know people usually use them for smaller molds or jewelry making. Loved the video! XOXO
Thanks sooo much girl .. yes you can use pipettes and syringes etc ... but I think if you pour while the resin is fresh it pretty much finds its way in to the nooks ... but those infil ones are tricky for sure ! Fiddly
These are so good Claire well done I might have to get some of these moulds. As for pouring from height it’s to create a thin stream and helps eliminate bubbles xx
Love! I have never used a mold yet. I clear count paintings or colour the resin and paint with it. I do have molds and now I wish I had Christmas ones. Guess what my kids and grandkids would be getting for Christmas? Thank you. 😘
These look great! I dug out my molds the other day I'm planning on leaving my Tree and Deer part hallow and back covering it with a plaid fabric! :D Siver, Green, Pearl, Red & Gold so many colour combos to try!
Ambee yesss great minds !!! I have already bought some plaid paper stacks which I will be laminating to place in the back ... I was worried about the fabric because of the air bubbles. How do you do get the air out of the fabric ? Or are you not coating them in resin just sticking them on ? Sounds great !
They look great Claire. With your question about pouring from a high up. Maybe this was silicon?? I know before I had a vacuum chamber to de gas silicon (making a mould) pouring from a height helps stretch the silicon and help with bubble reduction. Silicon though not resin.
Thanks Mark .. yeh I was so confused I was actually going to ask them ... as I only ever do that with silicon. But they were 100% doing resin in the video ... I am glad im doing it right though this whole time x
Beautiful. Love the colours. I've know of one company who recommends you pour resin from a height...but I think it's one particular variety that they make..Most other resins are low and slow pouring xx
Thanks so much Su ... I was so confused when I saw them doing it like ... surely that would introduce air ? Xx glad you like these 😍😍😍 they were a best seller for sure xxx
@@ClairesCraftyCorner I agree. I know when you're making your own silicone moulds - some pour high, but with resin - it'd surely cause problems with introducing air bubbles. By the way, you're ahead of me...lol, if that makes you feel better 😂. I'm going to list my first item on Etsy this week...eeek, excited but totally clueless as to how I do it. I just love the blue and silver ones. These are so beautiful and just a cool process to watch! I cannot top coat anything as I either put too much or not enough. I hate to sand as well... LOL XOXO
Girl I am sooooooo not a sander ... but honestly thats because I am not very good at it x I have watched videos but its a combination of zero patience and not good at it x lol
Watching this video I’m suddenly wanting to make Christmas stuff. :) I have a surgery scheduled for tomorrow (my bday) and I think while I’m healing at home I’ll be getting into my Christmas crafts
Heyyy Nikki ... Oh Happy Birthday ! another LEO yayyyyy xxx mine is 14th .. xxx I hope surgery goes well :) xxx I agree .. the idea of Christmas Crafting right now is so dreamy x
Lots of good advice! I'd love to try those moulds, maybe with a third colour? I like the silver glitter-white resin ones, mostly because I had mainly red decorations for so many years. This year I'm debating between going for the full rainbow, or monochorme/glitter...
@@ClairesCraftyCorner I have so many ideas, so little time. I usually buy decorations after Christmas and every year I want to redo them and I just end up storing them in a box marked "to do"....
Thankyou so much .. the music is from Epidemic Sounds ... a music subscription. The songs are mostly from a group called Loving Caliber ... I love them ! they are on You Tube x
What can you do when resin is like gummy bear texture? I measured it right. I only colored with glitter. It’s just soft. Not sticky. I was making keychains and it was the s inside the mold. The top dried perfectly
I wish watched this before I did my first lot. I drowned out the Merry in my trees! If we use the same colour combinations for our Etsy stores, are you okay with that? I just love the red/white detail you do
Girl honestly you go for it !!!! The world is big enough for all of us xxxx ❤❤❤ And reds are my best seller ... so you probably find that too xxxx you can fill the merry .... after de-mould its ok xxx
Love the video, hate the music. 😒 Sorry Claire. I've been looking for good quality resin made in UK for a while. I use resin that's made in Germany, although it's great resin, I just wanted to find something closer to home. My only possible sticking point is tying up my mould for 48 hrs. I usually demould after 12-18 hrs but leave the pieces to cure fully on a flat surface. Have you got a discount code like you have with Hemway? Warmest wishes Claire.
Heyyyyy Archbishop... so sorry you hated the music ... was it the song ? Or the volume ? Someone else said it was too loud ... 🙈🙈🙈 I don't have a discount code sorry. I think I showed in the video that the red glitter was touch dry after 12 hours and pretty solid so it technically could have been demoulded at that point. With two layers needed on the second set it was just easier to wait until the white was cured ... the ones with white added were fully de- mouldable after 24 hours. Definitely not 48 hours. However, it would all depend on what you use it for and what was put inside. Xxx
@@ClairesCraftyCorner thanks for your reply Claire. I thi k it was a bit of both, song and loudness. I don't mind not having any music. I just enjoy your creative process. Good luck in your venture. I hope it becomes really successful for you. I think I might risk it and try the resin. Thanks for the review. Warmest wishes
@@archbud2334 thanks so much Arch... of course I do reply to all ... x dreading the day I cant keep up .... but that hasn't happened yet lol .. Honestly was scared about talking too much in this video ... some like it some hate it ! But I really appreciate your feedback thank you. X
Hi hun, just ordered some Hemway glitter with your discount 😊. Where did you get the white ribbon and what width is it? 😘 Brilliant vid and so informative xxx
Have you managed to get hold of food certification Claire as everyone whose asked has had no luck so it's thought it's only incidental contact not true food safe 😕 Currently I think the only with EU certification is Resin Pro Food xx
Heyyyyy girl ... no I havn't asked would not have occurred to me to. I trusted that the claim is true ... ?? Wouldnt it be illegal to claim something that isn't true ? Definitively worth check it out though xx
@@ClairesCraftyCorner I use alumilite amazing clear cast and that is food safe but that only applies to the resin really as soon as you add dyes, pigments and mica powders to it That essentially changes the properties in terms of any food safety certified or otherwise 👍🏻
@@ClairesCraftyCorner is a grey area on a lot of pages. It's food safe for incidental contact, like a lot are, so if you dropped something on it you'd be fine but to say it's totally food safe for use as a serving tray / cake stand / tumbler to coat etc has to be certified. Currently only one with eu cert is resin Pro. There's nothing in vuba SDS or TDS to say 😏 As mentioned, it has to be an unaltered state as well, as soon as mica, glitter etc added then it alters the composition. It's a very hot topic!
@@DaveGDesigns ahhhhh I see see .. thanks Dave ... so technically it is food safe.. but you wouldn't wanna make a drinking cup out of the stuff ??? Lol 🤣 😆 😂 I will stick to my Resin Art anyways me thinks x with any resin .... just to be on the safe side x
Hi just starting out how do I get to your Amazon site Canada ? I never used Amazon but it is a safe site if you use it sorry I am rambling but is it ok for paint to be stored in cool place will be warming up paint day before I use it as well as resin ? Thankyou
Heyyyyy Lynn.. thats great I hope you love it xx you will find Amazon Canada linked under my latest video .. I need to update some of these older videos and add links. I think Amazon is about as safe as any website .. I have never had a problem using Amazon xx and yesss absolutely .. you can store anywhere .. but do know if it gets too cold .. your resin might Crystalise ... if this happens you will need to put your resin bottle in some warm to hot water for 5 mins to bring it back to liquid xxx
Ooooo that I'm afraid I'm not quite sure about ... I usually make huge batches ... so I mix around 300g .... and pour what I've got x I will have to weigh one to let you know how much each one takes xxx

@@ClairesCraftyCorner 🤣🤣🤣.... I agree and I’m also a lazy crafter. Look for short cuts and such... 💋💋

Watching this video I’m suddenly wanting to make Christmas stuff. :)
I have a surgery scheduled for tomorrow (my bday) and I think while I’m healing at home I’ll be getting into my Christmas crafts
Heyyy Nikki ... Oh Happy Birthday ! another LEO yayyyyy xxx mine is 14th .. xxx I hope surgery goes well :) xxx I agree .. the idea of Christmas Crafting right now is so dreamy x
❤❤❤❤
❤🙌❤
Lots of good advice! I'd love to try those moulds, maybe with a third colour? I like the silver glitter-white resin ones, mostly because I had mainly red decorations for so many years. This year I'm debating between going for the full rainbow, or monochorme/glitter...
Thanks Mizz.. I am sure I left a few things out now like how much pigment to actually use .. 🙈🙈🙈 full rainbow sounds amazing 😍😍😍😍😍
@@ClairesCraftyCorner I have so many ideas, so little time. I usually buy decorations after Christmas and every year I want to redo them and I just end up storing them in a box marked "to do"....
@@mizzuzie3338 haaaa ahhhh the good old 'to do' box and list .. need to write a list tonight for Christmas videos I am THAT behind xxxx
Ps...I don't know if this will help but if you only have a small amount of white resin in a cup, it should pour out more essily xxx
Thanks Su xxx ❤❤🙌🙌
What is that song you are playing? LOVE LOVE LOCE this video!!!!!
Heyyyyy Kelle, thank you so much xxx the song is called 'Christmas Memories' from Epidemic Sounds xxx its a monthly subscription service I get xxxx ❤❤
They are so beautiful. Where did your music come from.
Thankyou so much .. the music is from Epidemic Sounds ... a music subscription. The songs are mostly from a group called Loving Caliber ... I love them ! they are on You Tube x
Buenos dias excelente trabajo pero en donde se pueden comprar esos moldes gracias
I don't have a discount code sorry.
Its so hard for me because in videos where I talk I usually get told I talk too much ... so I never know what to do for the best.
Heyyyyyy lovely .... thats amazing you will love it im sure xxx the ribbon is from Amazon and its 10 mm
By about 50 metres lol
@@ClairesCraftyCorner thanks hun x
Loved every minute of this. Just one question, how long would you say the work time is?
I would say easily 30/40 mins on this ... I left it for 25 mins to allow bubbles to rise ... and it was still like water x
I will test it out on my next project xx
Oooh can you test doing an alcohol ink drop? Btw you don't know how happy you've made me!!!
@@chantalcross5737 ahhhh yes Chantal I can do that for sure xxxxx ❤❤
Super cute! Love them all❤ Also enjoyed your Christmas music!! Who is it? 😊

Does colder weather affect the resin from hardening up? I live in cold Utah. Thx!!
I forgot to ask yesterday, is it just the regular craft glitter from Hemway, not the resin glitter that you used pls? xxx
No sweets ... I use the epoxy glitter from Hemway xx I just think it stands up better to the resin ... but no glitter is off limits xxx
@@ClairesCraftyCorner Aw thank you. I usually buy the resin glitter from them but their regular one looks nice too. Thanks a lot xxx

@@ClairesCraftyCorner 👌👍 xxx
Were did you get everything.
Thank you for a wonderful video! I love the ornaments. My only advice would be to tone down the music a bit. It was a lot loader than your voice.
Ahhhh thanks soooo much ... I am totally new to voice over... so I must check that ! Really appreciate the feedback thank you xxxx
Have you managed to get hold of food certification Claire as everyone whose asked has had no luck so it's thought it's only incidental contact not true food safe 😕
Currently I think the only with EU certification is Resin Pro Food xx
There's nothing in vuba SDS or TDS to say 😏
As mentioned, it has to be an unaltered state as well, as soon as mica, glitter etc added then it alters the composition.
@@ShazbatJones253 ahaaaaa I see .. thanks so much lovely xxx
Forgot to ask how much resin did you use to make these? 🤔
Ooooo that I'm afraid I'm not quite sure about ... I usually make huge batches ... so I mix around 300g .... and pour what I've got x I will have to weigh one to let you know how much each one takes xxx
You could use a pipette or syringe to fill those pesky spots!
yes a great idea thank you x
❤😊👌🏻😃
Hello
I wish someone would gift me a huge amount of resin, especially as my granddaughters are getting into resin now!! Lol
Lol I asked them for this .... I rarely ask companies but I saw it ... and asked if they could send me some to try out. I just really wanted to explore more resins. I usually buy my own every other month. Lol 🤣
And now you'd recommend this one?
These came out sooo dope! I have these molds as well and am going to try. Hope you can come check mine out when I post. Love all your creations! Thank you for the inspiration!😊
