When I was 9 years old I woke in the middle of the night, to step dad on top of my mom, punching her beautiful face over and over again and choking her. He didn't see me and so I bolted out of the house, unlocked the doors and banged on my neighbors doors until one lady opened up and I told her mom was being beaten and killed, and she called 911. Soon after, the NYPD and my family arrived and rescued my mom and baby sister who was in the bedroom with them. My last memory of that house was watching my unrecognizable mom, bloodied and beaten very badly, being taken out into the ambulance. THANK GOD mom divorced him after that. I believe I saved my mom's life that horrible summer night, and I am so thankful I didn't let the FEAR petrify me into submission. Today, my mom is doing okay and we JUST celebrated her 78th birthday!!! Sadly, my little sister was murdered by a stalker in 2002 and that is another tragedy in my life. Also domestic violence related. Rest in Paradise to all the beautiful victims who have died at the hands of these very sick people. God has always watched out for me and I thank HIM for every good thing.

I feel for Joseph being there when his Mother was killed and Aunt was shot and now having to testify in front of the murderer….makes me so sad. I’m surprised that because of his age (14), they didn’t require the cameras to not show his face because he’s still a minor. 🤷🏽‍♀️
BTW….I understand he’s a child, but to listen to the prosecutor speak to him in that manor, is irritating. I mean the way people speak to children and the inflection in their voice goes up at the end, as if that is somehow comforting, I suppose….but she is literally doing it at the end of each sentence. 🤦🏾‍♀️

The laws in the US really benefit the *perpetrators* , they are allowed to harass the *surviving victims* by questioning them about their horrific experiences!! The perpetrators are also handled very delicately by victims families. So if you think about it, the perpetrators are mostly men and the victims are mostly WOMEN, therefore it’s obvious for me that it has been MEN that has put these law in effect - to “save” men from any harm at all and getting “fair” trials- were they are allowed to continue to harass the victims and they victims families. Why should the offender have easier rules to follow during their trial?? The victims are bullied by the judicial system again, again and again!! I’m disappointed that these are the laws and still are the laws in the 2022….
The judicial system protects the offender from any harm - both physically and mentally!! Something is WRONG with your laws.

It is terrible when a child has to testify in front of the person that would normally tell him what to do. In my case I would have been terrified of my father and would be scared he could get me. I know that it won't happen, but in a kids mind it must be so confusing. There should be a screen around the child so he does not see his Dad. I don’t like the way the lawyer is speaking to Joseph. He’s 14 years old. There’s no need to talk to him like he’s a little boy. It’s degrading. He’s a young man, who is well versed.

I called the WTLV Jacksonville Station and left a message about their showing the picture of the victim. They better make haste to edit that out - - It's against the law to show pictures of deceased persons in the media. I plan to follow up until it's edited out.

I'm very proud of that oung man. Bless his heart, he had to remember what happened to his mom. For him to hear the two people fighting and then see his his mom on the floor dead. I hope when the court case is over he will remember the good times he and his sister and mom had together.

Who cares about this defendant missing a tooth? He shot 2 people and one of them passed away! And that defense attorney smiling during the opening statement is just disrespectful. And what happened to the rest of Lisa's testimony?

Way too much echo to even understand what anyone is saying. It's not the videographer's fault at all, rather it's the way the courtroom is structured. I suppose it's good for me not to be glued to the tragedies of other people's lives. This one seems like it was a very sad event. So sorry for the children, who always suffer the most.

I have never seen worse audiovisual coverage of a trial. The sound is not so hot, and apparently nobody noticed that perpendicular-sitting monitor neatly bisecting the boy's face during his entire testimony...does anybody ever look through a viewfinder...or at a monitor? That prosecutor's voice is irritating when she questions that young lady. Ahhh...I think I will leave.

⭐️I could maybe gather 5 decades of footage of the “Golden State Killer“ so the intro on these pics should have been aggresively opposed. From what i know so far, im gonna aquit him. I jus hope theres a like minded individual who is not of the opinion that, in Pew die pie’s funny accent, “All waaman must be believed.“ 🤣🤣🤣🤣
