You can follow him on twitter. He goes by the name Blindoldfreak He has new stuff coming out soon under his real name. Check out Sonoio, Blindoldfreak, Modwheelmood, and of course Nine Inch Nails...
The Buchla Music Easel has sonic capabilities that really no other synth has. If you've ever heard one live or better yet played one , you'd understand why the price is so high. Cortini actually had one of the few original machines so it's pretty unique. I have a huge eurorack modular made mostly of Make Noise modules and it comes extremely close to the monstrous sound you can get from any Buchla. So if you think that the prices of these high end modukar synths is "ludicrous" as you say, it's because you don't have a very well trained ear yet. And if you think you can get the same results using some cheap VST and a laptop, you're vastly mistaken
There's a lot of equipment that goes into making this kind of music....I wonder how much it all cost, or even to be able to do half of what he does. A lot of work there...
Daniel Meagher It's not a Nine Inch Nails song. It's an Alessandro Cortini song. He plays keyboards for NIN. It's called Senza Aria . It was just released on his new album Forse 3. But I filmed this in July of 2012
+Daniel Meagher yea I couldn't remember any NIN songs that sounded similar to this. BUT at the 10 minute mark I started hearing it. Damn I can't remember what song it's from though. I was thinking it was from the fragile album, but it might be from ghosts. Now I have to re-listen to both albums again or it will drive me nuts. That was a great show wasn't it? Good to meet someone who was there as well
Friend me on Facebook at Dam Hanilton and we'll work out a way of getting you a copy of the original video I shot. my facebook page is facebook_com/Incogneto
Awesome 🤩
Also check out blindoldfreak and sonoio. Cortini's solo work
Alessandro you are a genius! Love your music!
I have never come across a video on UA-cam with 200 likes and 0 dislikes. Ever.
A perfect ratio.
Much love.
The song is "Scappa" from his Forse 3 lp. and it doesn't get any better than this.
Hey you're right. Actually it's both of them. But, yes the ending is Scappa.
I want to throw my RS7000 out the window when I heard Cortini play synth

yes I know I was there, but this melody was re-appropriated from a NIN song, and he uses it on his new release.

I hadn’t ever noticed before but it’s the bass notes in “The Frail” before the end.
