I decided to make a video of all the miniature crossings I have recorded, aside from a few StL Zoo crossings since they're similar and it takes forever to download the videos. Anyways, enjoy!
Please read the description before commenting.
LOCATION TIMESTAMPS:
0:40 Holiday World, Santa Claus, IN
1:04 Spring Park, Tuscumbia, AL
3:45 National Museum of Transportation, Kirkwood, MO
5:33 American Farm Heritage Museum, Greenville, IL
6:58 Wabash Frisco & Pacific Railroad, Wildwood, MO
8:30 St Louis Zoo, St Louis, MO
@@DrewThomas Neat, I assume you're from St Louis?
All but Alabama for me
Museum of transportation has a bad gate. _ironic._
0:09 railroad crossing
There’s a good one at mill mountain zoo in Roanoke.
I love how every crossing has something wrong with with it
For real
Is it the electronic bells?
5:12 Listen to the satisfying sounds of the wheels on tracks, I LOVE IT!
I like the sound too.
Love the crossing with the old Milwaukee Road crossbucks. The old Milwaukee used to go passed my parents house east of Georgetown Illinois
Thank you Gametrain,
In my opionion i think these crossings are more unique than others, yeah some might have new stuff, but i think they're cool
Thanks for sharing with us. :)
No problem!
a few years ago, i made a miniature railroad crossing signal for something i was doing. i still have it today and it still works!
That last one is pretty chaotic lol.
5:33 bro i live in the town just shy of Greenville and I go there for there train program almost every summer! they have really nice model trains and i love the new real crossing they added
Nice and same here!
6:58 I have no words for this
It is 🥵.
@The Green Apple XD does
The last one had a school bell on it lol
Nice video and crossings! That first pair of signals in Kirkwood appear to have seen better days. Love how one of the crossings uses Griswold Type B lights!
Thanks! Yea, I'm not sure what the heck happened to the first Kirkwood crossing. I plan to revisit the one with Type-B lights as the gated crossing there got a new signal installed, and appears to actually have a WRRS gate mechanism.
@@kyleb06 It's down because they don't want cars going in through that entrance. The gates have seen many changes sometimes they don't work, sometimes they are both down, sometimes they work while both down, sometimes they turn on but the gates go down it's really weird. Also one time the one gate entering the museum at the main entrance lost its gate I assume a car hit the gate.
Nice video! Also I got a WRRS mini bell on Tuesday
Thanks! Epic! Where are ya getting it from?
I got it from eBay. I’m pretty sure it ships from Michigan.
@@Ferromexfan4081 Then you're getting 2 mini bells and a crossing light.
Actually this one is different. I already got the bell and have a video of it.
Here is the link to my video of the bell: ua-cam.com/video/E8G4vunrMZs/v-deo.html
Man that second crossing has a light out
Awesome video!
Thanks!
3:45 I've been there before
Nice Compilation!
Thanks!
Awesome intro, and very interesting crossings!
Thanks!
Nice! I like the one at Tuscumbia!
Thanks!
My fav is the one at 2:49
Wish they had them here in Minnesota
I think there's a theme park up there with wig wags but only the bell on them works. Can't remember what it's called.
That's a lot of miniature crossings for miniature railroads in the United States. Also what's that crossing at 4:44?
ua-cam.com/video/8iiswmb7yN4/v-deo.html
1:04 This is like THE WORST crossing I’ve ever seen in my life. It has one light blinking and it gets worse when the gate goes up the bell still rings for a few seconds
7:00 looks ridiculous, the crossbucks looks giant and the lights look tiny
Nice!
Thanks!
1:06 Broken light?!
Yes.
The light is very dim.
Look closely at it, when he focused on it.
4:12 broken gate won’t go down
Saving up for a railroad crossing for my room.
My local railroad is selling it and has a sign on the freaking Crossing saying that it is for sale. Should I cop?
Yes for sure. Just out of curiousity what railroad is it?
@@kyleb06
It is I believe owned by Union Pacific . Not sure what line it is
Szép videó!😃👍👍👍
Kösz!
2:25 OUCH!!!!!
Yes
Well some crossings do not look like a real railroad crossing in zoos.
The first railroad crossing looks cool but It’s weird because the path Goes to nowhere except a close gate
It's a private crossing.
Wow Nice Video!! 👍👍👌👌
Thanks!
I’m your 900th like!
these "engineers" need to learn how to whistle properly at railroad crossings!
Yea. I least they do the horn sequence correctly though.
@@kyleb06 true but go watch a real train & see how they do it
@@kyleb06 I love how one of the mini trains actually sounded close to a k5la
Anyone know the brand of the first one?
Most likely Miniature Train Company (MTC).
6:58 what is that crossbuck?!
A 45 degree crossbuck.
Wow. Huge
WHAT CROSSING IS THIS??? GATELESS!? WHY????
@@cole5282 Depends on what street it is for. Some crossings of military spurs in Maryland have lights - but no gates; two that have been converted into trails never had gated crossings unless they crossed divided highways - and one (that crossed MD 235 into NAWCAD Patuxent River) never had that! (You read that right; major installation - it still is, in fact - major highway, just north of the installation's main gate - and no gate at the crossing of the choo-choo tracks! I was doing a parts delivery to the installation's IT Division.)
@@kyleb06 lol looks like a Australia crossbuck
These signals are/look very old
6:34 where is the other signal?
Wasn't installed yet at the time, the installation replaced a pair of crossbucks. There's a 2nd signal now ua-cam.com/video/mN-04kM66Qg/v-deo.html
Diesel powered "Steamers" are absolute trash and should all be disposed of.
LOL, agreed!
The third one is broken
Well the first one’s useless.
That's what I was thinking, it doesn't warn you in time
