MITCHELL ARTESIAN POOL and FREE RIVER CAMP AT TAMBO

SEASON 2 EPISODE 4
In this video we camp up at the DONATION CAMP at the Neil Turner Weir primarily so that we could luxuriate in the Mitchell Artesian Pools.
From there we headed on to Tambo where we enjoyed a much slower pace camping on the banks of the Barcoo River at a great FREE camp known as STUBBYS BEND in Tambo.
We enjoyed having a fire to do some Camp Oven cooking , did a bit of yabbying and fishing. Such a relaxing spot.

I was and it was really nice to just sit and relax for a bit after trying to outrun the rain as the bumpy roads caused a little leak right over our bed. Hope its all fixed now , but we won't know until we get rain again lol.

I think we must be following your footsteps when we head off in July. Also going to Mitchell to check out the Artesian Pools 😊 Hope we find that nice whipper snipped spot when we go 😃 What a great idea!

Might be a bit overgrown by then. We did 17 mths on the road without my little battery operated whipper snipper and this time I made sure we packed it. It’s quite lightweight. We loved Mitchell pools and the cafe was such good value and cheap.
