This is a delicious move by Ador. If Hanni accepts the visa extension, then she is basically admitting that she is still in contract with Ador. If she rejects it, then she's outta there. Even if they form a new "family" company, they are still in legal dispute esp if the courts decide their contract with Ador is still valid.

Well Hanni, I guess if you want to work and reside in Korea you'll have to acknowledge that your contract is still valid for Ador to renew your visa. You'll look like a rat if Ador renews your visa but yet you continue your independent activities.
Ador are forced to apply for a new visa for Hanni seeing as legally she is still contracted to them. This will allow her to stay for at least a year in Korea but I thought visas were for two years not one. Am I wrong about that. If Ador terminated her contract I imagine she would have a grace period to find a new employer before being deported. But Ador don’t want to do that. So I wonder if she will continue with independent activities regardless, and working using a newly renewed Ador endorsed visa. If the court rules the contract is still valid then they will all face damages for breach of contract and Ador may then terminate their contracts once that is approved. She will then be deported unless she has joined another company. If she has then that company risks being sued too and may even face criminal charges for tampering as well. If the court rules that the contract is invalid that will only date from the time of the ruling. It won’t be backdated to a time you announced that you unilaterally terminated it without company agreement. It would be highly unusual to backdate it like that unless there had been serious criminal misdemeanours by the company, as in a few famous recent cases. But nothing like that has been revealed so far. Just hurt feelings have been publicised so far and together with unfounded claims of broken promises that have not been substantiated currently with any proof.

@@MariaDevelos-sh8pf it sounds as though Ador are preparing her visa application papers at the moment so it seems like it may run out quite soon next year. But the grace period you mention will give her a temporary extension beyond that. But they will need to get a company organised soon if they are to avoid her potential deportation before that happens. Ador may be reluctant to acquire her a visa if they think she will use it to buy more time to sort out a new company. But on the other hand, they may need to if they are to convince a court that they are carrying out their contractual responsibilities still as if the contract still stands.
These things do not happen automatically. If Ador does not go to court to terminate the contract, the contract remains valid. The court does not terminate it on its own initiative. The statements of those fools at the press conference mean nothing to the State; they only matter in that they could be grounds for termination of the contract by Ador, which, however, clearly does not even think about it. Ador has already announced that is extending Hanni's artist visa. Clear evidence that the girl is still under contract with Ador.
