The Soul of Zeppelin was founded by award-winning composer, guitarist and educator, Carl Baldassarre. During COVID, Baldassarre had a vision to handpick superb musicians and a compelling lead vocalist that could unlock the secret of Led Zeppelin’s sound. The secret of Led Zeppelin’s sound is hidden in the band’s influences: which includes blues, funk, soul, swing, jazz, R&B, rock, and classical music. Like Led Zeppelin, The Soul of Zeppelin plays Led Zeppelin’s greatest songs while channeling the band and their influences.
As a highly acclaimed guitarist/connoisseur of Jimmy Page and Led Zeppelin, Baldassare has a vast knowledge of Led Zeppelin’s history which he shares during each show to enhance the experience.
The result is not an imitation or a caricature, but a living musical experience of the magic of Led Zeppelin in a presentation like nothing else in the world.

Can't believe I missed this, I've been waiting for it. I've seen dozens of guitarists nail this song but none got Jimmy's feel like Carl did here. Justice given to the greatest blues of all time.

Agreed! It’s pretty much the holy of holies in their catalogue! You enter it’s realm with reverence and surrender to it as a musician until the final note arrives.

Since I have been loving you, red house by JH and Peter green’s I need your love so bad all do the same for me top top blues songs. This was a brilliant rendition of one of them do the other 2.
Growing up, Zep III was not a favorite of mine. I was into the hard driving songs like "Heartbreaker", "Black Dog", and "Whole Lotta Love". But the older I got, the more I appreciated the album. "Since I've Been Loving You" is such an emotional song, but not just with Plant's vocals. Page really set the tone and emotion with his guitar playing as well. During the hardest, darkest days while I was undergoing chemotherapy, I also listened to "That's the Way" off this album. It's also a very emotional song, but it in a different way that "Since I've Been Loving You" does. Nice rendition of the song.
I understand how one’s maturity increases our ability to understand more subtleties. Btw…prayers on your health! I hope you’ve turn the corner! Re: “that’s the way” I remember when that piece finally made its way into my head (I too liked the heavier things as a kid), but wow! When I finally started listening to that song, I just played it over and over again. It transported me to another happier world to escape to with open fields of grass, sunshine and smiles. If I could have hit the “forever button” I would have. Led Zeppelin taught me how to listen to music. All music! Peace my friend!

This song live is one of those Led Zep songs where all the elements...the vocals, the guitar, the drums, the keyboard feed off each other and seem to take what is essentially a lay back blues number to another level and you and the band Carl absolutely nailed it

Three JP guitar attacks, including his greatest solo and RP’s vocal dynamics are not suppose to be covered. Until now. Holy shit…
One of my favorite Zep songs. OMG, how you just took me on a musical journey on this one. BEAUTIFUL. Most covers can't bring out the emotion of the song but you all brought it full force. Loved everyone, but the vocals completed it.

What would a ticket to that concert have been like, just to have been in that audience would have been reliving the Zep concert in Western Springs Auckland in 1972, when I was still at high school.
As a 3t yr touring blues player i gotta say this. Ive never......heard that 23 yo robert plant high note hit like this guy does. I honestly dont think theres any recording a male singer doint this song exactly like the robert delivery spot on. I have now. Guitar player is recreating the msg solo...and pattern by pattern the intent is there. The tones there....the inflections. These songs cannot be faked. Chops....
