Their farm. Their way. Not for any of us to decide what works for them. No need to justify anything Kevin. You do you.
Please, please, please don't ever send your dogs away!! We love them too much. ❤❤❤
I hope they get a get a good home, sorry to see the Emus go. Hope the little hen gets ok.
Good job
I LOVE that you use the "Pyr voice" with Mo. Lol
Yours and Rachel's farm. Your animals. Your decision. 😊
So refreshing to read this. I agree. We love watching bits & pieces, but not our farm 😊
Hey Kevin and Rachel,
Well, if those big birds don't fit the farm then there is another place they will.
Good luck placing them👍.
JO JO IN VT 💞
Kevin, I work for Tractor Supply. You can order all the fencing you need and have it shipped to store and pick it up in 3-5 days.
It's best if you go into the store and have a team member order for you on the Stockyard. At the customer service desk.
That's what I thought. I've ordered stuff from them thru the store
Thsts what I thought too .
Anywhere but Tractor Supply... there are so many other places with the supplies you need, so why wait?
@nettie3485 working with a budget you'll find that TSC is very competitive. They also have the best price matching in the industry.
My hen has a broken toe. Vet made a sturdy flat piece of plastic cut with the three toes and took narrow strips of vet wrap that sticks to itself to support her foot and shank with the plastic brace. She will wear it for a few weeks and is getting around on it OK. Hope your little hen heals quick. Isolating her was a good thing.
They actually make chicken splints($16.99 for two pack) you could easily craft your own from a plastic soda bottle bottom with side & velcro strip.
I'm soo sorry the emus need to go, but I do understand Rachel's reasons to let them go to a new home. Thank you for keeping things real for us viewers and letting us know things like this! God bless you and your family and all the wonderful animals. 🥰🥰🥰
You were needing a restraining order on your stalker Yoshi anyway. 😂I did enjoy them so much and hate to see them go. The videos of Yoshi over your shoulder were so hilarious!
May be but, emus who are raised by people, imprint on the people and will follow them around.
I got so sad when you said someday we may not have LGD's! You're banter with them(especially with Mojo) brings smiles and giggles and makes my day! Love and support for you & the family!
Makes ma sad but understand. I think they give your farm character.
Arms have one maybe they would like to love on your 2.
You can order the fencing from the Tractor Supply stores that have it and have it delivered to the store nearest you (ship to store). You would have to pay for it prior to the product being shipping. Otherwise, you could talk to the store manager and let them know what you need and they should be able to order the fencing for you and it would be delivered to that store with their regular delivery.
Your chickens are so calm when they’re sitting on eggs! When I was a kid and I’d have to collect eggs I’d have to put a coat on and hide my hand in the sleeve because the hen would peck at me viciously!
Mojo wants you to bring his food to him under the cool porch.😊😊
Hello Kevin, I think you have the right to do what you want to do on your farm what ever you want to do and that includes your animals or what ever. I understand Rachels thinking totally. They are beautiful birds, and I know you will find them proper homes. Love you guys God bless and until next time take care now.
Re-home the Emus, When Mamas happy everyones happy.😊 Thank you for your heartwarming videos. May God Bless your familes, 4legged and 2 legged
. Lol😅. ❤❤❤❤
Sad to hear, love the emu
I appreciate your honest report of farming.
I’ll miss the love the boy emu gives you lol
How is your garden doing?
If you've got a Tractor Supply anywhere near, you can buy the wire online and have it shipped to the store.
Hi Hidden Heights Farms ..We all love your show..God Bless ..Russell is getting big and he is turning out to be a mighty handsome dog!!❤❤❤❤❤
We'll miss the emus, but know ya'll find them good homes. ❤
They are great protectors.
I’m gonna miss Mr. Weirdo, but I support you both in your decision I will miss him ❤❤❤
Love and enjoy watching your videos. May the lord bless and protect you and your family and the animals
I love the animals but Russell just makes me smile. Bless your sweet family.
Female emus are known to attack and kill their own chicks. Males hatch & raise them. My emus have been guardians to my baby goats and sheep. They get along with our chickens, ducks and turkeys that get into the pasture but the bantams don’t usually go in there and we do not allow chicks to hatch. So far, there haven’t been any missing hens sitting on a hidden nest. I would be scared for them to bring babies through the pasture.
The emus will be missed, maybe get the fencing gradually until you have the 2 or 3 rolls that you need and then do the run in one hit.
I’m sure you could go to the store and order them. And then they could phone you when it’s in. You might have to prepaid for it.
Maybe Mojo needs some large blocks of ice to cuddle up near. Every bit of cool air can help.
On Narroway Homestead, Nate has only ducks because he doesn't like the mess chickens make of the yard. Yours is pretty grassy compared to his. He prefers duck eggs which he considers to have a richer taste. Then his LGD protects the ducks.
Look how tall Russell has gotten. ❤❤❤
i am a huge fan of your channel!
It's a shame about the emus, but you've got to do what's best for you and your farm. Looking forward to Russell being put to work proper!
God Bless. I completely understand why ur getting rid of the Emus. Best of luck. Love from Northeastern Pennsylvania ❤❤❤
I am going to miss Yoshi and Yoneg, but you and Rachel know what is best for your farm. I love to watch the baby goats getting milk from their Momma's. There little tails wag a mile a minute. Russell is growing so fast. He is so adorable. I bet Leeskee and Cora like having their son with them. Mojo is just so loveable and such a good LGD. So sorry about Gucci. Blessings to you all. ❤
Love your videos. Will always stand behind your decisions because it is your land and your animals. God bless you all❤❤❤❤❤
Watch Dr Pol episodes. He treats poultry with wing, legs and other problems.
I will truly miss your emus!😮😢 but I don't live with them.
U have the right mind set. It is them that lives with and care for the animals. If something is bulling what u love it’s time for change. They r beautiful though.
Contact either your local feed store or Tractor Supply & ask if they will order the fencing for you. Then have it delivered to the store & you won't have to pay shipping. If you make the run large enough you might be able to divide it & rotate the chickens so they don't eat it down to dirt.
Russell is getting tall!
Rachel is sweeter and more affectionate with him, shes does his grooming. And she took time to bond with him when first arrived and was depressed and grieving. He will.always be momma's boy.
Start looking for a farm or a petting zoo for them
I love Mo Jo and all the animals!!!!!!☀️☀️Mojo was sitting on the porch so sweet
You might check with Brandon and Stephanie from Eddy family farms! For the emu's!
They have more than they can properly care for as it is. They need to learn how to best care for what they have befor getting more. I love them but more is not always better. They haven’t even gotten all there lamas sheared yet. And honey needs her teeth trimmed and they don’t even realize it. Pony’s and donkeys need there hoofs trimmed and r not even trained for it. Lamas need to be shaved before the heat hits. All the animals need to be wormed. The new calf needs attention for scours Better for people to start off slowly and learn about the animals in their care before adding more. Especially a totally different animal than what they have. They need to slow down adding to there farm. I realize they don’t know what they are doing or not doing right as they are new to this and the animals they have they just need to slow down and concentrate on. What’s there before adding to it. They are a great family and excellent parents to their children. I do love them. Just want them to slow down.
You guys are great people, if you want to get rid of animals it's up to you !! Love n Blessings
Sorry to hear that you are going to get rid of your emus. You got to do what you have to do. Don't feel bad but you have to keep everyone safe 😭😞😭😭😞😭😞😞❤❤❤
Kevin, you are a riot, giving voice for MoJo. Love the conversation. Your Emu's are your choices. Being a viewer, I enjoy it when they become part of the video, they are curious and friendly and helpful with your wing predators BUT you n Rachel will choose what is best for your farm. Russell is gorgeous, going to be a great asset. Thanks for sharing
Hi Kevin. I respect your decisions. It's your farm. Do what's best for your family and the animals. Absolutely Absolutely love this channel ❤❤❤
Thanks. Good show.
Grandpa Doss has to fix the same issue. Grandma Doss is upset about the chickens in her flower beds & making a mess.
It’s a problem that causes friction. ❤🎉❤❤😊
Sorry to see the Emus go,hope they get a good home.🇺🇸
How about building a wood stand for the metal feeding troughs u have. Drill some drain holes in them to drain the water. Put them up to the fence. Then u can just pour the feed into them over the fence
Love your videos. I agree that when animals become bullies, they need to go. Farm livestock is ever changing and it’s nice to be able to do that and find what best suits your farm and family. ❤❤
Aww i like the emus looked forward to seeing them pn your videos. But do what you need to do. O just hope you dont lose more chickens when they are gone.
Wish them a loving home like they have with you guys 😊
could put your flowers in hanging baskets, good idea on the Emu's.
Sorry to see the EMU go😢
Hope the chicken will be okay. Sorry you have to get rid of the emus but that's your decision to make. You know what's best for your placed. Always enjoy watching your videos. GOD bless y'all.
Mojo says get that eyeburgers off my eyes. I can't see good with them. LOL
Maybe eddy family farm would want them
I had 5 emus as pets on my one acre. I loved them and miss not having them around. I never saw a white emu! I had them because I like having unusual things! My chickens are penned because of the mess and distruction they cause! But I love to hear the sounds chickens make, plus the eggs they supply. Mine are all pets I don't have the heart to eat them.
It will be sad to not see the emus but you need to do what is best for the animals. Wow puppy Russell is big his almost same height as his dad. Sending love to all the family ❤❤❤
Why don't you do a special order at the fencing supply? Will they take special orders?
Hate to see the emus go but it is what it is. Hope that little bunny chick heals up. ❤
You both know what you need to do for your farm.
Been on the emu journey since day one. Sad to see them go, but totally understand!!! I also think you handle your herd beautifully.
Talk with Jason from Cog hill farm.
Oh man. I love the Emus. I was really hoping to see eggs and baby Emus running around. Those 2 are beautiful too. What will i do. He didn’t mean to step on the chickys foot. And youve had them for so long. Those eggs alone used to be $1,000. I know bc moma always wanted to buy one. A neighbor raised them. Think a little more and pray about it. Just think, had the chicken coup been fixed, it would have never happened. Sorry, been there, done that. Love to all. Just an old woman talking❤
Hi Kevin, we keep our chickens pen up, and they have a chicken 🐔 run
Y’all know what’s best for your farm.
Enjoyed the video.
Kevin, My sister is a nurse. One of her young chickens got it's foot hurt when they were moving their chicken tractor. She did wrap the foot with the stretchy Self-Adhesive Bandage they wrap around bandaging on a wound. She used that to support her foot and the chicken did recover. I hope this information helps you. 🐕🦺🐈🐕🐐🐓🪿 ❤❤❤❤❤
Sorry to hear about the emu. Would like to see more of the donkeys. Don't see them much.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Well you need to make sure the animals get along.
Sorry you have to get rid of the emus. I've really enjoyed them. You have to 😮do what is best for your farm tho. Love you all and God bless ❤😊
I'm so sad. The Emu's are my favorite animals on your farm. I wish I could have some but I don't have enough property. They are so neat.
Sorry to hear about your emus there cool looking birds almost like dinosaurs Paul coffero is a rescue farm he has 2 emus as well he may take them if you can't sell them
Hello Kevin and family
Free-range chickens don't have to be free-range over the entire property. Cog Hill Farm has an excellent method.
Sad to see the Emu’s go but you have to do the best for the farm. Great video thanks. Chris from England
Living here in Arizona desert we have indoor dogs. Especially in the hot hot summers.
You have always had great animal management skills. You "gotta do what you gotta do". To anyone who says otherwise, "Not your farm!"
Hope Yona and Yoshi go to good homes. I will miss them. 😢
I enjoy the emu.Kind of sad to see them go.
That’s life on the farm. Animals come & go
❤
Bye bye Big birds .... it's been nice seeing you grow
Paul Coffaro is a UA-cam volger same as you or the urban rescue ranch is a volger as well he has emus as well he could take them as well
Awwww….I’ll miss the Weirdo videos 😢
She’s a pretty bird.❤❤😊
I was referring to the speckled bird. However, the emus are too. I do understand & perhaps that will make room for something that fits you farm better.
Blake at Blake’s exotic animal ranch is looking for a male and female emu
Buy the wire rolls when you find them Kevin. If you started when you first saw them as singles, you would have a couple three at least.
Have you seen "Karen" on Useless Farm? LOL. She's a beast!
I love her!
Hi Rachel n kids miss all of you ❤️
I actually found a vet that put a cast on my little chick after being attacked by God knows what. Worked out beautifully !
Dr Pol does too. Used to watch him but my cable company got rid of it.
U can put a cast on a chicken. and ask Dr Pol
Do you remember how long it took? I think we kept our hen isolated for 5 weeks. She was fine afterwards.
One of my daughters hens got attacked by a fox . It cost her $400- for treatment. 😢. But she's still alive and happy.
You could get all the fence post set, while you are waiting on the fence... 😮🐥🐤🐓🐓.
What about clipping the chicken wings to keep them in
You could try ask Ben at The Urban Rescue Ranch to take them he's locate in Wako x
Hello Kevin ❤ how are you doing ?
❤❤
