psxfin is maybe the only PS1 emulator that is modchipped since any anti-modchip games will not work. Maybe it's because of the VRAM viewer feature (press F11) and a few games or one are aware of it (Tobal 2 can be crashed by using the VRAM viewer feature) Example: - Legend of Dragoon: only detect modchip when the game asks to change disc, and the game will ask you to change disc starting from disc 3 if you want to visit previous chapter/disc areas, including the ship. Shows hardware modification warning screen when triggered - Tomba 2: brings you out from the memory card screen, save and load screen - Threads of Fate: creates walls that surrounds the player after jumping into any cube-shaped objects. Also breaks the Rue's prologue by making him impossible to walk during the going outside the home cutscene
How do you manage to corrupt it like this without the emulator kicking you in the nuts? Is there a WGH/VRC setting i need to know ow is it strictly on the emulator's side?
