By far the best faux loc tutorial! The switching of strands for securing, and knotting at the end was extremely helpful! Now the next time I do mine, they'll be perfect! Thanks!
ALOT OF HAIR DRESSERS DO NOT TAKE THE TIME TO MOISTURIZE THEIR CLIENTS HAIR. SOMETIMES THEY DO NOT EVEN DETANGLE IT. LAST TIME I LET A FEMALE DO BRAIDS IN MY HAIR, SHE WASHED IT, BLOWED DRIED IT AND DID NOT MOISTURIZE IT. SO GUESS WHAT HAPPENED WHEN I TOOK OUT MY BRAIDS.?!?! SHED... SHED... SHED!!!! THANK U FOR THIS VIDEO
ur hair will shed whether u moisturize or not. Shedding is a natural process for hair and skin. This occurs at the root of the hair..Moisturization prevents breakage/Damage.
+Khadijah C. This is so true. Medical and Science Industry regardless where you are geographically located will advise the same. Shedding is a natural process of the body releasing dead hair, cells, etc. to allow the production of new hair, cells to grow...Breakage comes from unhealthy maintenance (i.e. lose of hair as a result of molting, disease, or age tension, lack of moisture when there is tension, tugging, pulling, chemically processed hair just before adding extensions..the hair is in a very weak stay...should generally allow 7-14 days before doing so, etc.). Let's keep educating self and sharing our knowledge, beautiful Nubian Kings and Queens.
IT'S AMAZING HOW HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF. THIS WAY OF STYLING HAIR IS SIMILIAR TO WHAT MY MOTHER USED TO DO FOR ME YEARS AGO AS A KID BUT IT WE USED BLACK THREAD AND IT WAS MORE SPACED OUT. IT WAS A STYLE COMMONLY DONE IN NIGERIA. YOU DONT SEE IT ANY MORE
Yeahh its called threading and we do it in Ghana too. It makes our natural hair longer. Im a boy but i do it over my locks to keep them out of the way for a bit but my sisters get their hair twisted using the threading method
Your video on installing faux locs is one of the best I've ever seen. You are a great teacher very detail. I will be using your techni. Thank you for your time. HLS 👍😀
I love this tutorial you done w faux loc. The only thing i disagree with is the lighter/burning ends (had a bad experience). I rather have mine tied or glued, leaving curly ends. But over all your the best at this. Thanks for sharing.
Woooow I am soo impressed. I have been wanting this style, but when I ask the 2 braiding salons i know of, either they tell me that this style costs 2000.00 or they cant do it. I would love to find out where this stylist is located, i would love for her to do my hair. She cares about what she is doing and how she is caring fo the hair
I have never seen dis method before, twisting before threading I am sooo trying it. I do d african threading a lot but with knitting wool, its way faster and neat tooI'd prefer it to this weaves. But happy i came across dis videos😃😃
I've been rocking these like almost 6yrs now. I use yarn though. very protective hair style. it's a stylish on the go creative look you can make your own.
this was a very helpful video my daughter has been experimenting with her hair and she's done dreads before but it took her so long to do it with this video it will cut her half the time some thank u for this helpful video great job
Fantastic! You're a perfect teacher! You showed clearly how to start and how to keep twisting! You showed also how to finish the twist and to lock it in simple way without hiding your fingers. You have a A+ as grade.
Quick question. I did this hair style on my sister and she kept on complaining every-time I was wrapping the hair around the twist. Cause as i was doing wrapping it her hair at the roots kept on tightening. The 2nd day it was in i had to loosen some again because she was complaining that it was too tight. But i didn't intentionally do it i was trying my hardest to stop it from twisting the roots of her hair. Do your customers say anything about the tightening as your wrapping the hair? And do you have any tips into doing the hairstyle with less tension? BTW when i did this hairstyle it took me 2 days (it was my first time) but 4 hours is impressive.
Derell .Luis hi! I know I'm not BeautyCanBraid lol and it's 10 months later but I do faux locs as well and it natural that the root will turn as you try to wrap, so I just tell my clients to hold the root while I wrap if it feels like there's too much tension. They usually end up holding the root when I'm on the edges and in the middle, the most tender spots.
This was very helpful. Because of your video I will be trying this on my hair in one of my future videos. Best detailed video I have seen on doing locs. Plus I like how these turned out. Thanks 😊
Can't say nothing bad about you mama!! Been watching you for the past two days straight!!! You awesome !!! God engineering!! You blessed!! Just wish you stayed in South Carolina!!!! LoL 😂

+Khadijah C. I mis-spoken. my hair was literally falling out in clumps in the shower. Breaking all over the place. I was scared I would go bald.
+Pridefulebony Oh my goodness. Did your stylist braid too tight? And did you perm before your extensions were installed?
+cjlmusik cjlmusik it didn't feel tight. n I've been natural for almost three years.
Wow! Excellent work! Because of you and your tutorials, I am able to do my teenage daughter's hair so nicely. Thank you, we may try this look next 😍😍😍

+rose eze African threading technique has been popularized in the recent years, if u go on YT there are a lot of videos on it
+mzlareine1105 yeah i know its a afro-centric hairstyle
+AfroCaribBoss Wow!!! I did not know any one still does that.
+rose eze yeah they do. Although not in the traditional ways now. They use it to achieve twists now rather than threading the whole strand of hair
This is perfection..i don't understand why there are so many dislikes..people are haters.
This girl get her hair done like every week by u lol she is a loyal customer

This used to be called silky dreads, all the old hairstyles are coming back with different names.
It sure was called silky locs, I told my daughters this a couple of months ago when they were trying to tell me about this style. Everything repeats
+Martida Campbell Jackson gv as fs zzz sa3qewwr rd 0 l.p. k Oki h t-shirt :) n mm eygcc
R yes this is what I still call them Lol I used to split the hair in 4 use 3 to braid and the other to wrap around the braid and burn the ends
Martida Campbell Jackson they were called silky dreds
R. Clark RIGHT lol my grandma used to love them!
