Disclaimer RE: Celaena's hypothetical bisexuality - I know Celaena isn't in fact bisexual in canon - not do I feel that she has been fully represented as someone who identifies this way - but as a proud bisexual woman myself, I just got excited at seeing an opportunity in this book that could have lent itself to Sarah J Maas writing Celaena this way; this was more me saying that Celaena only identifying as heterosexual was a missed opportunity, not a comment on LGBTQ+ representation in this series - that's a discussion for another day!
Yeah, I definitely wished there was more lgbtq representation in this entire series, and more diversity. I love Sarah j Maas, but if she added more of this, the books would be even better👍🏽
I agree!! When I first picked up this series a few months ago, my friends told me that she doesn’t have very good PoC nor LGBT rep and it’s such a shame because it would have made these books even better! Especially with a bisexual Celaena Sardothien 😭😭
@@MyYAFictionAddiction yeah definitely! As someone who isn’t white, it was kinda sad to see most characters as whites. We had Nehemia who wasn’t, but...we know what happened to her😢. That’s why I love the last hours series by Cassandra Clare. There’s so many PoC, and lots of lgbtq relationships/ships. Those are the kinds of books I die for. Can’t wait for chain of iron!🎉
@@AnanyaParlapalli even though Cassie's rep isn't always perfect, I really love that she includes so many more diverse characters than other YA books! So totally agree with you here!
