Ace of spades is one of those famous songs that sounds absolutely boring to me. The opening riff was the only part I liked about ace of spades😂 No God is Oh My God so good.
Love both versions of this song! The electric version is the MISA show, and the acoustic version is the Saiki show! The same song, but so different, love it! Kanami adapted the original to acoustic so well, pure genius!
I agree! The acoustic had some interesting chords in there that changed the whole texture and feel of the song. Along with Saiki's vocals and choices in parts, it was perfect.
"One, two, three, four, parking lot!" I know that's not what Miku is actually singing, but I read somewhere that someone misheard it as that... and since then I simply cannot 'unhear' it. As for which version I prefer? Well I simply consider them two different songs and love 'em both 😁
It's pretty Awesome. We have 5 bands in 1. Band-Maid-Tails. Studio, Live, Instrumental, Acoustic, Traditional. Pretty much doesn't matter what version you're listening to. Peace. 2.19
Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。 Speaking of this song, Kanami and Miku told an interesting story in a Japanese Magazine "Headbang" vol. 28 [page 145] ** Summary ** (1) "No God" is the second song with modulation (key change) subsequent to "Cross" (2) Akane, drummer, had eagerly wanted a new original song with key change for the band (3) Kanami composed "No God" and told Akane that this was the song she had been longing for (4) Akane completely forgot what she had said before but came to love this song although it requires a very tough work for the drummer. (She looks very happy in both of the videos, as she always does) ******* I love the friendship within this band.
Congratulations on Kyra's results! Also, hope your tummy is doing better now. And yes, I totally understand how you feel about both the original song, and (especially) the acoustic version.
Both versions of this song are incredibly good, yet I believe the acoustic version to be my favorite thing Band Maid has ever done. And that is saying A LOT!! 🎶🎸🥁🎸🎶🔥🙂
@@Bekka_Noyb Yes seriously. We all have our own tastes and we both know by now that ours are different. After all Bubble is your #1 song and yet it doesn't even come close to my top 10. Yet we both agree Band Mais is awesome, so it's all good! :)
@@Bekka_Noyb I'm a musician, among other things. I totally get No God. I appreciate the execution, the riffs, the runs, the vocal parts, the solos, the drumming, the uniqueness of the song in general. What I'm trying to say is, I find so many things about each Band-Maid song to latch onto. Their songs are never boring to me. But sometimes when you want nice air, less franic tempos, and relatable melodies, like a Daydreaming or a Bubble, they might not be there. Especially with their anime compositions. So I get your opinion too, Bekka. Thx!
@@TomClark-Futoura 1st off I just said that the acoustic version of no god wasn't my fave of the set. 2nd Bubble is not so simple as you seem to make it out to be. Musician or not I kinda figured that Bubble was more complex even before I heard peeps talking bout it on youtube.
Though I prefer the vocals on the acoustic version, I in general prefer the electric one because of the breakdown. I love them both though. I need to get that acoustic CD! Congrats to your daughter. Funny timing because actually today I passed a brutally difficult certification exam for work. I would have lost my job if I hadn't passed by the end of the year! Very relieved about that. 😄
Thanks Emily and congrats 👏 to you also 😀 celebration is in order I think ,ill treat my daughter too lunch out at a posh nosh restaurant and throw some money at her lol
I really like the studio version of No God because the double-pedal bass is so good in that and that's how I fell in love with the technique and the band. I hope you can get to react to the acoustic performance of H-G-K. It used to be posted but the guy took it down already. Maybe you can get it. But in that performance, all 5 members sang! I mean, Akane, Misa and Kanami all sang backup. :)
I always love comparison reactions. Should do more in my opinion. Great stuff man. There are also some videos of No God instrumentals. Not only the whole band, but also individual maids for the whole song. Well worth a look man.
Please pass on from Oz, congrats on the results, another stage of life to commence, wonderful. It takes a special band to do what Band Maid does, not just as individual members but the dynamics and interaction between each other, as stated by Akane this truly is a miracle band, Viva the Maids peace and love Po 🤗🎼🥁🎤🎸🍻
For me it depends on mood: for something softer and more relaxed, it's Kanami's incredible acoustic arrangement all the way; but for maximum emotional impact, my choice will always be the electric version.
Yes. It is like Puzzle: I love Puzzle Live with its heavy rock sound, and I love Puzzle acoustic with its emotional singing, highlighting Saiki's skills. Band-Maid is so versatile.
Classic response...to the 'Hi-Dee-Hi Campers' moment 😁 First time hearing acoustic straight after the lecky...agree its charming AF...and MISA took the piss with a great solo. You gotta love these Maids...they're Ace (Gary borrowed my usual line) Awesome. Hope they make some money on the tour...so Saiki can replace that "shit Suzuki" she mentioned 👍🤘🤘🤘
Some acoustic versions (Puzzle, for example) are just so different from the electric style that I can't choose one over the other and just love them both as different songs. However, some acoustics really shine for me over the hard-body versions: this song, Catharsis and Sayonakidori all fall in that category. I agree with 2 GEN that some songs are naturally better acoustically. If you get a chance, listen to the acoustic Manners version from the Christmas concert. It's just Saiki and Kanami and it's got 1960s/70s folk rock vibes like something from Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young or Joni Mitchell.
Congrats to your daughter, excellent news.. Such a great feeling when your kids do well.. :) Two great songs.. The same, but not.. :) Nice reaction 2G..
BAND-MAID is the perfect combination of songwriting and the talent to play just about anything. I hope this upcoming tour will attract attention beyond just the venue.
We're here for a good time, not a long time. Good song by a band called Trooper I think, covered awesomely by a fantastic Canadian band called "The Besnard Lakes" - and if anybody wants to hear it, here's the link. ua-cam.com/video/CBhIn5nGJc0/v-deo.html

And I have to say again , why oh why hasn't this acoustic concert been released on DVD/Blu ray.
Forget about the opening riff sounding like "Ace of Spades". This is the "Ace of Maids" :)
That makes no sense Gary 😏

You may have to learn that song now. Lol. I can’t decide which version I enjoy more. Both are great.
