My Homemade/Modified Adams Polishes detailing cart.

- Started with a US General 5 drawer tool cart from Harbor Freight and modified it into a detailing cart. Includes an Adam's Polishes polishing station, bottle holder, brush mount w/bottle holder, and another standalone polishing holder. Has some plastic bins below for storage of vacuum accessories, wash pads, and a bin for used towels. Holds an assortment of microfiber towels, drying towels, application and polishing pads, cockpit brushes, and more!
I got the toolbox on sale and most of the Adam's stuff at their tent sale for a very nice price, so I built the whole box including all the various mounts and bins for a very reasonable price, and it's incredibly useful and can be moved to the driveway or the garage depending on where I'm working at the time.
This is the exact video I was looking for. I think I might get one of these carts this weekend. Thank you for the insight to this cart.
This is exactly what I need!
Building one using your video! Thanks Bro!!
Wow I just bought the same Tool cart today in Green. Yours look really good with all the mods!
This is great. I was looking around for inspiration and how other guys setup their 5 drawer cart for detailing and found your vid. Looks awesome. I stopped using exclusively Adams stuff and use only bigger bottles a while back but at least I’ve got some good inspiration to build my own.
I just bought the same one in white. I will be making some changes because of what you shared. Thanks
awesome job on cart. making the same one!!!!!!
Wow looks awesome. Thank you so much for sharing. U have great ideas to organize. Looking forward to more videos
Thanks, I've actually been meaning to do another little video of it, I've since added another bottle holder and two pad dispensers (one for the 4", one for the 5.5") to it :)
That is pretty damn cool!!! I did something like that and added a power strip. I like your set up though.
Pretty good set-up
Awesome set up!
Nice work!
Wow this looks great.
Good job 👍🏾
Could you put the links of the accessories (mounts)?... your setup looks very good
I have quite a few different mounts, but they are all Adam's Polishes. You can see them here: adamspolishes.com/collections/organization
I’m not as talented as you are with detail carts but I love your cool ideas in organizing and keeping all that equipment in one cart. So this content helps so much and also that your not sponsored and just keep talking about products nobody wants or likes lol. Look forward to see update Also what equipment do you use for camera or audio
Very nice! What is the total cost for the decked out cart?
Hi Stephen. I got a lot of the bottle holders and polisher mounts and so forth at the tent sale and/or secondhand from other adam's polishes customers... I think only one I paid regular full price for. I also got the US General box itself on a pretty good sale. With that said, all in, theres probably about $300-350 in it. The box itself is currently abotu $280 at Harbor Freight, but it goes on sale all the time... would especially expect some sale around black friday.
Bro you moded the hell of the cart👍👍👍👍👍but you did change the caster to all swivel 👀🤔
Thanks Henry. I did not change out the casters I just used what it came with. About the only issue is if I park the cart on my driveway which has quite a slope sometimes the brakes on the casters aren't enough to stop it from moving so I end up putting a piece of wood or something to keep it from moving. Normall I keep it in the garage though which is pretty level.
👍👍👍👍👍
How much would you say you spend? And what pressure washer do you use
fucking bueno 👍🏿
Kinda new to the detailers world. Do you find that having that out in the work area it gets wet and sprayed on, hard to keep clean? Everything looks pretty much brand new, so looking to hear your outlook on it after a few years use. what would you do differently? Im trying to put together a system myself. Thanks!
The cart tends to stay in the garage and any pressure washing I do is in the driveway so hasn’t really been an issue.
Which brand of car cleaning products do you prefer?
I tend to use Adam's Polishes stuff almost exclusively. There's a few things I've found I like a little better, but probably 97% of my stuff is Adam's.
Couldn’t detect the sarcasm in their question huh? FFS even your name is Adams lol
@@annagraham6204 ha! That is just a coincidence. Adam's Polishes is founded by Adam Pitale, no relation :).
What size screws and bolts did you use to secure the Adams bottle holders to the cart?
Hi Sean, I believe most of them I ended up using were #6-32 x 1/2" if I remember right... maybe 5/8"? Some of the holes I ended up re-using the holes from the bolts of the toolbox itself, most I had to drill new holes for... but didn't go with larger than needed.
Can you actually close the lid?...some of those bottles look too tall for it to be able to close....GREAT job on this
Hi Tim. It doesn't actually close all the way, which is fine because I regularly use the top section for setting stuff while working on a car - things I find in the interior, towels I'm not done with but don't want to set down, etc. I actually pondered just taking it off. Even in the winter when I'm not using the cart regularly and the bottles aren't there I still leave it open.
Do you like adams products? 😂
