I love brief case!!!! 💖💖💖 fantastic collab, thanks guys!!
Me three. Lol
I love Brief Case!
I knew it sounded familiar!! I totally need Brief to narrate my life
That voice threw me, it was totally unexpected. Two of my favourite creator's collaborating. Sunday night just improved immensely.
I just now realized that with 11mins into the video hahaha😂😂😂
I just thought it was his channel and didn't put 2 and 2 together until he told us.
Right?! I was thrown for a min but didn't know why. Silly me!
@shamudogsmith1751 IKR? lol. I thought I was going to have to report another content thief 😂
Incomprehensible.
What a wonderful surprise, a collaboration between two of my favorite gentlemen!
Thanks very much 😀
I did NOT expect to hear Brief Case's voice tonight! A pleasant surprise!
I was so confused, had to recheck whose page I was watching 😅
Missed it!
Me neither this is a good surprise.
I know. Best news ever!!
The fact that I couldn’t decide between a Brief Case video or a Forgotten Lives and clicked this one first. Thought I may have actually been losing it. 😂❤
Same never been to this channel was like wow he got another one 😂😂
I wonder if she had a hysterectomy and her hormones got wonky because man, it can make you cranky lol. Maybe also she had a reaction to the anesthesia or loss oxygen because that changes your mind too. I do feel for her husband's plight.
I was also wondering if there were discussions around this surgery that had left lasting effects on her or left her feeling utterly betrayed. THat might also have led to a real flip in her behavior.
It looked like she had postpartum depression that turned into psychosis she probably contracted some kind of infection after delivering, which necessitated the surgery
Well, this was an unexpected but pleasant surprise to hear Brief Case. 💙
I really enjoyed this particular case about the "Vampire Queen of Crime," l had never heard of this woman. This was a very intriguing and yet mysterious case of a woman who went from financial security to a life of crime. Great investigation and presentation, as well. Take care.
Thanks for watching, my pleasure 🙏
Another socialite, Belle Star also did the same thing in the Old West. No surgery precourser, just someone enamored with the penny novels of criminals.
I was born in Oshkosh, WI and currently live here. This is amazing. Having researched and written an extensive family genealogy I appreciate this story. There are many more like this in our neck of the woods! Thank you! Note: your pronunciation of "Oshkosh" was perfect! ❤❤
I live in Wi... never heard of this story- this is why history - it SO important.
We need Her-story now, not his-story.
Thank you for bringing us such new and unheard of stories - such a lovely change from the "same old, same old". Well researched.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I have had 23 surgeries over my 51 years of life , everything from seven spinal fusions, three joint replacements and much more with the most recent three months ago I had Sceptic Arthritis which is infection in both shoulder joints and caused a heart attack and they have all taken a toll on me but the last one really effected my mental state.
And are you planning a life of crime now? Go on, you can tell me!
That sounds incredibly tough - I'm wishing you all the best.
@davidponseigo8811 Dang dude, that sucks! I'm glad you're still here. Keep getting better and have the best holidays that you can. Here's to a better 2025! 🎉
Prayers and hugs for you to have a full, fast recovery.🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️
Have you tried cbd gummies? I know many people have gotten relief and can sleep better from them. Unfortunately, I'm allergic to this plant 100% I'm 52 and have had 12 surgeries. I suffer from fibromyalgia, migraines, IBS, and chronic neck and back issues. In January I have to get a treatment that burns the nerves in my neck to try and give some relief. I understand pain and pray you find comfort. Another thing that helps me is dry needling. It stings a bit, but helps break up scare tissue and muscle tightness. God bless you and I'm praying you get relief.
Thank you for including so many stunning paintings and images of the time period. ❤
Postpartum is a really misunderstood thing ❤
Two of my favorite channels.❤
Welcome back Brief Case, to FLives channel. Thank you both for this remarkable tale
Thanks for the kind words!
@ForgottenLives
Always a pleasure! Thank you!
Spoiler: absolutely no vampirism in this, just the ol lover robbery story.
lol thanks for saving me the confusion at the end.
Yeah dumb title and I usually
Like the way brief case and forgotten lives title their videos
Why was she called "Vampire Queen"? She was just a common thief! Good story, though. ~Janet in Canada
Two of my favorites collaborating on this video. What a treat.
Very strange story indeed. That completely change in her personality after giving birth. Maybe her hormones went crazy forever. Thank you for bring up this case.
I wondered if she decided she'd had enough of family life and motherhood, as many women betray their families, plus she somehow was delusional about criminal life, and thought naively that she could succeed at it.
But the reason her new personality came up after the birth of her child and posterior illness, makes me think the roots are in some change in her brain chemistry because some type of maybe neurological disease@@deborahfournier7640
Postpartum depression + hybristophilia
Absolutely fascinating. She did just three years of that 20 year sentence.
Hello! Found my way here through Brief Case’s channel. You have lots of interesting content Forgotten Lives, so I subbed.
2 Legends in one video! I forgot they were actual friends in real life.
Enjoy!
I would be interested to know more about the exact nature of her operation.
That’s what I want to know because I’m wondering if it was a hysterectomy
Lobotomy?
What a treat! Two of my favourite channels ❤🎉
You are so kind!
It sounds like this woman was very very bored with her life. I kinda like that she got away in the end.
ALSO! SUPER happy for this colab. Thank you.
I’m so happy to hear brief case here, i love his channel aswell
Thank you 😊
Thank you very much. Philadelphia USA 🇺🇸
You're welcome! Thanks for watching 😊
Hello there, fellow Philadelphian!
Briefcase & F.L. I've been subbed to you both for a long time. A great video! Thank you all!
Thanks very much for the support!
@ForgottenLives Thank you
Woooow! I love Brief Case and Forgotten Lives. Thanks guys 🤩
The gang of vampire women reminds me alot of the movie Hustlers! I would really love a show about these women
What was her problem??? She had a good life set up with a millionaire and a daughter and she threw it away for a life of crime??!
I am VERY suspicious of biochemical changes in her brain because of the drugs...
Boredom?
She married at 16. She probably was infatuated with her husband m, but not in love. Once married, she found herself burdened with an unwanted spouse, and the hostility of his family did not help things. She probably wanted to go to balls and be courted. Instead, she was trapped. Add to that mix of feelings a pregnancy and social duties she was expected to perform. She wasn't ready to be a wife or a mother, and when in her mind the pressure became too much, she escaped in a fantasy world where she was powerful and in control of the fate of other
She wouldn’t be the first nor the last. It happens. I had a friend that was super wealthy, loving husband and kids. She didn’t go as far as this woman but she used to shoplift in Harvey Nichols. Until she got caught and was send to see a therapist. She told me she wasn’t sure why she was doing it ( she certainly could afford the stuff she was stealing) but it gave her a frill, she felt alive when she did it. Go figure.
Have you never read a comic book
Yess!!!❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉 love you both
I sat here for a minute going wait what channel did I click on!? 😂😂 I am from Wisconsin cool to hear !! Gonna tell my mom about this!! ❤❤
Thank you forgotten lives and BC.
What does this have to do with vampires, it doesn't.
Yeah I was confused about that too.
I had never heard of this case. Excellent case study and presentation!
This was a real cool story although I'd rather she got caught. I've been both robbed and burglarized before and it messed with my sense of security for a very long time. But on the funny side, I can't help but look at Evelyn's hair and think of the "big hair" days of the 80's. I guess styles do come back...Thank you all for the video!!
I hear you - it's never fun to be a victim of crime! Thanks for watching 😊
where the hell ive been the entire time?how come i just came across this channel?subscribed in a heartbeat, cant wait to watch all the videos now😂❤✌🏻
Wow what she did to her husband and her daughter was awful!
The regular narrator for this series must be vacationing (or "on holiday"). This video is one you could hear on Brief Case's channel so it would only be natural for him to fill in. I agree that this was a sensational case even by the standards of today. The difference between the two times is that, had this scandal happened during our time, this woman's husband's reputation would not be ruined although the disclosure about his wife's double life would have proved embarrassing for him. I think his business and social standing would have remained intact but that hers would be tarnished (for awhile). Heck, in 30 thirty years' time she could even write a book about her adventures.😂
Hello Forgotten Lives, I was expecting you but hear Brief Case instead. 😊 Thank you for having another interesting upload about people living in times gone by.
EXCELLENT WORK!! THANK YOU FOR YOUR EXPLANATION. I LOOK FORWARD TO NEW VIDEOS! THANK YOU
I love your videos!!
What a story! And what an amazing video!
Thanks so much!
The best part of this story for me, was the old video footage. Will subscribe just for the peeks into the past. 😊
I am very confused. Everyone is talking about Brief case person, but I have never heard his voice before and was (and kinda still am) convinced it is an A.I. voice. Every sentence ends on the same intonation and there is no emotion or personality in the voice. I'll have to look them up. I find the voice to be very uncomfortable to listen to.
He is a friend and very popular historical crime youtuber! Check out his work !
@ForgottenLives I did check out the channel. Apparently he is real but I just can't listen to his voice 😞.
Thank you, i thought it was AI, too, for the same reasons.
I had a really hard time listening to the narrator's voice too. Maybe because I'm American and expect to hear natural pauses and inflection when telling a story. I'm a fan of the material but not the narrator, "Brief Case."
Definitely not AI is real 😂 it took me a short time to get used to but he covers many interesting cases. There are some crime narrators here I can only stand for 10 seconds which is a shame as the crime story seems interesting 😂
Great video! Love watching all of them.
Merci pour la traduction. C'est une affaire que je ne connaissais absolument pas très intéressante merci big up
That answers THAT question! I thought you were the same host!
Anyway, amazing. I love both channels!
Glad you're enjoying both channels!
It's possible that the anesthesia used at the time affected her. She also could have thrown a clot to her brain. So many things can affect the m I nd
This is true. There's a true crime case from the rural area around Bloomington IL, from 1855. Anson Rusk and Isaac Wyant didn't get along for whatever reason, and in June 1855, Wyant attacked Rusk with a large knife. To avoid getting cut, Rusk drew a pistol and shot Wyant in the arm. The arm had to be amputated. Wyant later shot Rusk to death. At his murder trial, his lawyer, Leonard Swett, called witnesses who testified that Wyant's paranoid behavior only started after his operation, in which the doctors used chloroform. Swett argued his case so convincingly that the prosecuting attorneys -- Ward Hill Lamon and Abraham Lincoln -- lost the case. It was the first case in American jurisprudence in which an insanity defense worked.
Different religion oh no we can't have that. Marry a child and no one says a word.
I'll be honest: if this was a TV mini-series, I'd think it was utterly preposterous.
Sounds like she had some kind of postnatal depression, poor woman.
I was also wondering if she had a hysterectomy because hormones or lack of can make you totally depressed!!!!!!! And cause severe personality changes.
Very interesting story.
I was very confused when brief case started narrating... happy surprise!
All my jewellery is sentimental & I had a fuck ed ex of mine that stole some of mine... So this story REALLY hurts... I don't know how much more I can listen to!🙏💔😭
For a moment I questioned everything I knew I was like, “isnt this brief case??”
0:33 It took me this long to realize this isn''t a normal FL -this is BRIEFY, narrating! 😮
EDIT: Also this story is an absolute banger! Wow!!!
Thank you, quite an interesting woman, perhaps lived her life comfortably with no more need to steal.
Thanks for another interesting video!
Tale old as time, people coming to Chicago checking into the Hotel under an assumed name and then commit crimes. 😂
Well - as old as Chicago, anyway!
What a cool concept and name for series.🎉
Very interesting story. I wonder if anyone in medicine ever studied her case and made a definitive diagnosis, or decided she was just a rotten apple.
I was worried someone had nicked your voice and did an AI narration. But it’s actually briefcase! ❤
BRIEF CASE! I knew I recognized your voice!
Very interesting story. I'm surprised I've never heard anything about her. Also surprised no one has made a fictional series based on her.
Once it was known who was behind the drugging and thefts, it's very likely a former victim took his revenge. Maybe, even the cops had enough.
This should be a movie.
Very interesting story. Thanks.
Hi mr brief case i recognized your voice nice yo hear about you again and by the way Merry Christmas to you and yours
Great collaboration
Oh BC collaboration i love it!
Impressive photos ☺
The sound was going in and out, thank goodness for closed captions
Heyyyyy Brief Case!
Heck, was she awake during the surgery and wanted to do to others that was done to her?
Nice collaboration ❤
Thanks 😄
Thank you 👍
I love brief case nice to hear you here
Thanks for the surprise bc❤🎉
I was thrilled to hear briefcase narrating. I have to ask, had she lost her freaking mind? Did i hear it correst that she ran away from her rich family and took up with a gentleman who was black? Either one of those things would have been flabbergasting back then.
I would not minimize what the Rockefeller pharmaceuticals did to her brain....
She might be young however
She’s looking very older 😮
Just finished watching your Monday upload BC!
When I clicked on this, I was expecting to hear of vampire activities. However, it was an interesting story. This almost makes me think she may have actually died during the surgery, and her body became possessed by another spirit. I’ve never heard of a surgery changing someone so much. Except when someone has an organ implant due to accident or disease. Then at times, people will take in the personality or interests of the person who the organ came from. They will also start liking foods that the donar liked. A very sad and tragic story for her husband and family. You would have thought that they would have rallied behind him and supported him, rather than shunning him. It wasn’t his fault ☹️
7:14 Wow, shame they didn't have a neighborhood WhatsApp group to warn each other about Evelyn 😂
Thanks!
Had to look twice then see what channel I was on. ❤
Hey Brief Case, thought you started a new channel for a moment, lol.
Thanks👍🏼
She was considered beautiful? Scary to think how ugly someone had to be before they were considered ugly.
I remember that vampire with the crazy afro bug eyes and intense personna that was creepier than Creepy Joe going to Comet Pizza.
Wonderful 🎉
I must admit , I was a bit confused, for few seconds, thinking "Wait, is this a Brief case video? What did I just click..?"
What was the surgery?
She ran sacked the room and carefully took the stuff…? lol
Yeah....missed hearing Brief Case!
And Cardi B thought she was slick. She's got nothing on these women.
