      Completely agree, especially for the United States. The Shotgun may be it, if that is coming to the States. This is the first bike I've seen that looks good in all colorways. That says a lot about the lines of this bike.

    I’m buying the green one for my retirement , I won’t be fitting a screen but like you I’m going to buy some alloys and fit Michelin Road 5 or 6 on. Will definitely take the back seat off and fit a rack and panniers , also touring mirrors as prefer black to chrome and black crash bars. Yours looks gorgeous, I can’t wait to go down some country lanes and find small cafes😊😊

      The green one looks beautiful too. The Classic 350 looks great without the passenger seat, I will try this too. You will have a lot of fun with the Royal Enfield 👍😎

    I agree! I’ve had my Signals Marsh Grey for 4mos and enjoyed the backroads of California’s gold country. Perfect if you enjoy a comfortable ride through the countryside.

    Royal Enfield has made the perfect classic motorcycle for modern times. I want one of the 350 models, but can't decided which I like best.

      I visited a Royal Enfield dealer a week ago and sat on all of the 350 models, including the Bullet. I found the Bullet seat and riding position the most comfortable. That would be the one I would buy.

    Marc: great video, as always. Very good summary of the bike.
    I have a '23 Meteor 350, 2,000+ miles (sitting in the garage for the winter). I agree with you:
    1) 20 HP doesn't seem like a lot, but it's enough for back-road riding. (If I want to do multi-day out of town touring or need to go on the highway all day, I have the mighty C 400 GT for that.)
    2) Riding the Meteor 350 ALWAYS brings a smile to my face.
    3) I bought the Meteor, instead of the other 350J models, because I wanted tubeless tires -- I'm often pretty far from home in rural areas (and carry a compressor and patch kit in my Givi panniers). (I also like my feet more forward -- old guy, with not so great knees -- and I also like the heel/toe shifter on the Meteor.)
    I noticed particularly in this video that the 360 camera seems to have much better color saturation, more dynamic range, or something like that, than your helmet-mounted camera. The sky, in particular, looks much richer with the 360 camera. You notice that, too, I imagine?
    Thanks again, keep up the good work, and enjoy the ride.

      Hi, I wish you a happy 2014 🎊🎉 I did a test ride with the Meteor too, it is very comfortable but I liked the look of the Classic 350. The colors of the Insta 360 and the DJI Action vary because of different color profiles that I used. Have a safe ride. Cheers Marc

    Hi Marc. Great filming! I've reached 1,650 miles on my Classic 350 and now the engine is run in and valve clearances set (I did them myself at 1300 miles as I don't believe they were checked at the first service) the bike is really smooth with a noticeable increase in performance. Looking forward to your thoughts when you've run the engine in. Stay safe. Andy

    I like a single cylinder engine, it matches the classic vibe. A smooth 500 classic would be nice but I don't see that happening. A 650 classic is more likely. I had a 650 Interceptor but sold it because the riding position was uncomfortable.. Too much reach to the bars, too much bend at the knee, my feet kept getting tangled in the foot pegs at a stop. I am 6 feet (183 cm) tall with a 32 inch (82 cm) inside leg. I prefer the classic style. I would look at a 650 classic. A 350 with 5 more horsepower would be appealing.

    • @Marc.Stones
      @Marc.Stones  9 місяців тому +1

      I had the same problems with the Interceptor, I am 6.2 . Hopefully the Classic 650 will be released in 2024 ✌️

      The Hitchcocks Motorcycles cam kit adds 5 HP to the 350 motor. That is a 25% increase. The top speed is the same but the acceleration if faster. It has been reported that riding with two people is more relaxed.

    Great video ! Thank you for this...I have one of these bikes myself and live it to bits....I also have a couple of questions for you :
    -could you describe how you record audio? You've achieved a very nice balance between recording of your voice and recording the sound of your engine
    - could you share what is the chest mounted camera you are using? I love that wide lens and the way that shot is framed...most people don't get as much of their bike in their shots but your shot is perfectly composed.

    The only thing keeping me from buying this bike is I’m unsure how far I could realistically travel on it. I don’t expect to go across the country but would like to take it on a 600 mile trip. Anyone pushed this bike that far in 1 trip?

    • @Marc.Stones
      @Marc.Stones  9 місяців тому +1

      I will do a long distance ride in spring and I think it should be capable as long as you do not ride on the autobahn.

    • @MrMoneyHelper
      @MrMoneyHelper 8 місяців тому +2

      This is a modern motorized vehicle. It wasn't built in the early 1900s. With such a low stressed engine it should last a hundred-thousand miles or more. Why do you think it wouldn't be good for long distance travel? It has a limited top speed of 73 mph. Bicyclists ride across the world. Forty-nine cc scooters ride around the world. The RE 350 would do the same.
      Buy a customized seat or an Air Hawk seat cover if you don't think the original seat is comfortable for a long trip.

    • @joesmiley5726
      @joesmiley5726 6 місяців тому +1

      @@MrMoneyHelper i guess not having much experience riding, I was unsure of the difference between a physically being able to make a journey on a certain motorcycle and whether it would be advisable to do so on a certain machine. For example, I could go from one city to another on a bicycle but I don’t think it would be smart to do so unless you were some extreme/experienced bicyclist. Also, someone with years of experience might be able to ride thousands of miles on U.S highways with a scooter but doing so probably wouldn’t be recommend for a more novice rider. So I wasn’t sure if a less experienced rider, like myself, should attempt a long trip on such a simple/smaller machine like a classic 350 or whether it would be safer/smarter to attempt this type of trip with a larger machine. I love the price of the classic but I don’t want to be restricted from doing the one thing I really want to do which is take trips on a motorcycle. Thanks
