I’ve had one of these on my 27 for years now and it’s been great! The recoil is much lighter, with the addition of the tungsten guide rod and the +5 mag extensions, I had a slightly thicker 43x well before Glock made them, and never felt much need to change anything….. but the trash Glock sights to the Trijicon bright and tough, which have recently been added. You can also buy a 357 sig conversion barrel. Along with the 22 conversion upper, you now four, yes, four different calibers to choose from in one gun. What a variety. Yes you have to use a 22 magazine and a nine magazine, but you can use the 40 magazines to shoot the 357sig. What a deal.😎😎😎😎

My first Glock was a Glock 23 (bought from your store, btw). I wanted a Glock 19, but there wasn’t a blue label available in the inventory. Your sales person convinced me if I wanted a 9mm just to buy the Glock 23 that was in stock, and buy a 9mm conversion barrel. I’m so glad I did, as I now have capability to shoot either caliber just by changing out the barrel. This is absolutely the cheapest way to have two Glocks. I’ve enjoyed this concept so much that I bought a Glock 22, and have a conversion barrel in that one as well. If I ever wanted to shoot .357 sig, there’s a conversion barrel for the Glock 22 and Glock 23 in .357 sig as well.
@@E52O4I did the same but with the 357sig conversion first, then the 9mm also. Love that I can shoot 3 diff calibers out of the same frame and slide, and only have to change barrels and mags (just for the 9mm - 357sig uses same mag as 40sw). Run same recoil springs and ejectors work just fine on all three. LOVE IT!!!

I enjoy your videos and information. My Department uses the Gen 4 model 21 . I dont see many videos or such on the .45 caliber model 21 and seems to be very little in way of information on holsters and such for model 21’s . Just putting in some input. Keep up the good work
G21 is a big box of Wheaties! On the conversion barrel issue. I bought a 10mm barrel for my G21. Has always gone bang. Best calibur for a hunting side arm...stay safe out there in the concrete jungle. Retire myself. Great memories.
I got the 9mm conversion barrel with the sepperate magazines. But I also have a replacement .22 caliber slide "upper". So I can shoot .40 cal, 9mm and .22 call from the same gun. I hear you can also get a .357 cal. Sig replacement barrel but I won't be getting that one. Ammo is too expensive
Lenny……I’m a bit concerned about the extractor. Is the barrel chamber off set to address the extractor for the 40 or is best to replace the with a G26 9mm extractor.
Not sure about the G23, but the G27 can accept the G33 barrel which is 357sig. I would imagine a G32 barrel would work for the G23 but I would call Glockstore and ask.
That has been an ongoing issue of debate for a long time. My personal experience is no need to change it. I've done this conversion and never switch it out, and it has worked flawlessly for several years. Could there ever be a related malfunction? Yes. Then again, converting ANY firearm to anything other than what it was manufactured for can certainly result in issues.
You lose the cross comparability once you get a Gen 5 Glock 23 .40 S&W correct? The frame is no longer the same as the 19 it’s a little wider. I could be wrong

I have a couple of dozen Glock handguns. I have fairly severe arthritis. Is there a way to make it easier to pull down the release to remove the slide? It's terribly difficult for me to pull both sides equally to get the slide free Thank you.
I bought A Lone Wolf 9mm conversion barrel for my Glock gen 4 23 . When I tried loading Hornady 147 grain ammo it locked up the slide . I could not rack the ammo out of the gun . I found out that 147 ammo is too long for the barrel and locks everthing up .
It's called a "recoil spring assembly" on Glocks part list because it's what's considered a captured recoil spring and guide rod meaning one complete unit.
Does this conversion barrel have any markings on the sides? I'd really like a silver conversion barrel with zero markings on it such as no double diamond logo or any text
I wonder if yall could do the same thing for 10mm?. The Glock model 40 I have is great because you can shoot .40 cal for cheaper than 10mm... but a conversion to 9mm would be even less expensive.
That is the first time ive seen live ammo in the room as Lenny works. He always says there is no live ammo in the room to avoid an accident. Anyone else notice that?
It is not worth the trouble to use the .40 cal. magazine. Buy the 9mm magazine and be confident it will not jam. Also you should also buy the 9mm extractor to be sure the gun will smoothly operate as a 9mm.
I actually forgot my 9mm magazines after putting the 9mm conversion barrel in. I was already at the range and went ahead and loaded 9mm in my 40 caliber magazines. It worked! No malfunctions! Cannot recommend that however though.😊
Sorry this is has nothing to do with this video but wondering if someone can help me out. Can I put a Glock 49 slide on a Glock 45 frame and put the Glock 45 slide on the Glock 49 frame?. Basically I already have two Glock 45s and I would like to make myself a Glock 19 MOS and a Glock 17 MOS by combining one of the 45s with the parts from the 49.

I've been using a double diamond conversion barrel in my g23 for years. Flawless and accurate. Shoots like a tack hammer.
Do they make one for a Glock 23? Or just for the 17?
You can get one for the G23 to shoot 9mm. The G17 is already 9mm. You can go from 40S&W to 9mm but not the other way around.

I had to change the recoil spring in my G23 to get it to function correctly even with a 9mm G19 mag. Once I did, it worked great even with G23 mags.

You will need a separate .357 Sig barrel.
.357 SIG is a bottlenecked cartridge, it won't fit the chamber. You will need a different barrel.

I don’t think it would matter as you are going from.40 down to 9. As long as you aren’t shooting really weak 9mm ammo

I have tired 9mm in a extended 40 does not feed right. On mine the 9mm sits lower and jams until the round 10.

Yes, There are markings. Our Double Diamond Logo as well as text on the top ".40 - 9mm"
I wonder if yall could do the same thing for 10mm?. The Glock model 40 I have is great because you can shoot .40 cal for cheaper than 10mm... but a conversion to 9mm would be even less expensive.
