Absolutely, putting a headlining in any vehicle is a real hassle with many sets of hands so doing it singlehanded and getting it right is a heck of an achievement.
Amazing transformation Mike!! That Saab is going to be a stunner once done. We'll all be ok with you keeping Lola outside to protect the duck, even if the duck gets a little quacky! 🦆🦆
Mike you've brought some cars around through the years but Honestly this might be some of your best work what a transformation! From old beater to minty looking bonified classic
Glad Benzo didn’t get got by that damned hawk, we lost a duck that way when I was a kid. Car looks fantastic from the first drive you and Randy did when there were interior pieces flying all over. Do yourself a favor if you can source a LED interior light bulbs, use those, they’ll run cooler, last longer, and draw less current putting strain on old wiring. Keep up the great work Mike, enjoy your videos. 😁
Hello Mike Saab is looking real nice now you are pretty good at doing cars and trucks Mike and the Saab is really looking good paint is really no shiny now Mike I really like your video today Mike thanks again
Hey Mike Great Job 👍👏 you should be Very Proud of yourself I really hope after you get the cable's the Sunroof works, The Car has definitely went through a Transformation Looks So Nice ☺️
Looking good Mike, , , , , , ,A little thing I do with slow electric windows is to lower the window then spray silicon spray into the glass guides back & front, then run the window up & down a few times, Looking forward to the sunroof cables being fitted, I just hope Saab made them easier than some I have had to tackle in the past!., , , Good luck from the UK!.
Hi Mike I love my saab turbo convertible they were a great manufacturer. That saab mike looks amazing so different from when you purchased it great content mike.
Looks great! Check Benzo for punctures from the hawks talons. I had forgotten how good those cars are. Unique shape. They still look fresh practical and comfortable.
If you need a big work surface to work on for things like the headliner, I suggest one of those cheap plastic folding tables. I have some and they come in very handy, plus they fold up and store easily when not in use. Cars looking good. 👍🏻👍🏻
Some good advice about removing window tint. Use a detail steamer to remove tint. All you do is heat the tint up with the steamer which releases the glue on the flim to the window. It comes off as easy as installing it. You will have the whole car done in an hour.
Ironically, I did the headliner on my Jaguar XJ6 this week! I also used the fiberglass cloth to enforce the broken pieces! I have been using 3M, but this time, I used Gorilla headliner spray. It was far superior to the 3M! I also redyed the dash top. Been using the Duplicolor, but I havd found SEM vinyl color spray is much better! You did an AWESOME job! I love doing interiors! I just redyed the entire interior on my 1968 Rolls Royce Fixed-Head Coupe! That took weeks!
Not just gloves when working with fibreglass Mike. Always wear an appropriate breathing mask for the gel fumes, which are very toxic, AND to prevent inhaling loose glass fibres as they're not far off being as dangerous as asbestos fibres in terms of the damage they can do to your lungs. Also wear eye protection as getting glass fibres in your eyes is agonising and can mean a trip to the eye hospital as they can penetrate the eyeball...
That hawk was a definite surprise. The interior looks a lot better and getting the old crappy tint off helped a lot too... This isn't directed solely at you. This is directed at quite a few you tubers. I'm trying to figure out why some terminology has changed over the last few years. I'm 63 years old and since before I was born they were always called door panels. Now some people have decided that that's not good enough, and now they call them door cards. Why ? Another one that has changed, and really infuriates me for some reason is, foot / pounds. It has always been foot / pounds, but for some stupid reason people have started saying pound / feet. Why ? WTH ? I do know that I don't like change, especially when there is no logical reason for the change.
To be fair, they always have been called door cards in the UK. Door panel could become confusing as there are vehicles around that have door skins that are bolted rather than welded or glued into place and, to differentiate them, those are officially called door panels. As for foot/pounds or pounds/feet actually the pounds/feet is more correct as the measurement is pounds of force per foot, but foot/pounds is what they've been known as since time immemorial. As this measurement seems to be going out of use anyway, replaced by metric equivalents it's likely to be something that is going to die out on its' own.
Awesome job I so love that you actually put in work on your cars. I watch the walk around and the e-bike videos cause I realize they help with income but I look forward to your repair videos they give me confidence to work on my cars. I figure if you can do it with that dog and duck I can do it with my messed up non working hand ;) I never know if my email works did you get my address a few weeks ago I asked how to get a sticker you need more merch puddins fab shop sells and ships his own merch and has really grown incredibly. I buy all his shirts if you don’t jump on within an hour of his video posting showing his new shirts they sell out would love to be able to support you and your farm maybe his shirt supplier can design you some shirts with Lola and benzo but no hawks

The purple tint must have been from the purple rain era. Lol
Hello Mike aka Monkey Wrench Mike. Fixing up the Saab by replacing the head liner, door cards and removing the old window tint.
Love watching your channel, and your bike reviews.

If you left the purple tint on till it rains, you could drive around singing… “purple rain, purple rain”…🎶
Haha!
I see what you did there, but I've still got to say...
Good grief!!! 🤣
Mike, there is already a loose nut in that Saab! LOL 😆 🤣 😂.

Hey hawk, squirrels too smart for u? Leave Benzo alone, jerk!
You make it look so easy Mike, once tried to do new upholstery on a boat and the outcome was hideous...
