Steve was talkative in this one! 😄I loved seeing his smile, his passion for your beautiful environment, and he seemed so relaxed and at ease with the camera. The chemistry between the two of you was also beautiful. I just love you guys. 🤩😍Your beautiful videos give me a yearning desire to bring the dream of seeing Colorado, without its blanket of snow, into my reality. Sometimes, I get a faint calling to actually move there; but that's HIGHLY unlikely. 🤔😄

Yes, I agree with Monique. Moose at Sunrise was a beautiful video. I highly recommend checking it out. I could even use it as a meditation, as I reach a peaceful and blissful state while watching it.

A quiet sunrise is very peaceful. Even with others around we all were super quiet.

We were there summer of 2013 with our son. We hiked over 100 miles in the 15 days we were in the area. All the places you are mentioning bring back so many great memories. What a beautiful place. Not sure I would like it as much with the timed entry tickets as I did back in 2013. Even so, we still want to go back there. Also would love to catch a concert at Red Rocks if possible while we're there. Most likely 2 years before we can make it back. Thanks for sharing.

That's A LOT of hiking! Yeah definitely busier than 10 years ago. The timed entry tickets really do help though

@@CattailChronicles thanks. Hope to make it back out that way in a couple years. being 10 years older, I'm not sure we'd hike 100 miles in 15 days again but we still like to get in 4 to 5 miles a day.

Thank you so much for your helpful video! For the last weekend in September, do I need to pack for possible snow?

I would. At least bring layers so you can add and subtract.

Should try up to Emerald with like 5 lakes or more and an advanced hike is up to Sky Pond

In your opinion, is it safe to be walking along Bear Lake road after dark if I miss the shuttle back to the Park-N-Ride or any other trail heads? I'm taking my son who's never been there. He's not accustomed to hiking as much as I am, so he might be a little slower. Our timed entry for Bear Lake is 2-4pm Sep.11th &12th, when the sun goes down at a little after 7pm so, depending on the line of cars at the keosks and the parking situation I just want to take the shuttle from the Park-n-Ride, but I do not want to worry about catching the last one back to the Park-n-Ride at 7:30. The last thing I want is to be with my son making memories and have to make sure we experience that beauty while watching the clock.

I wouldn't walk bear lake in the dark. There's a couple miles with no pull off for cars.

@@CattailChronicles yeah, probably for the best. A worse memory for us to make besides watching the clock would be a trip to the ER. Thanks and love your videos!

Is bear lake concert paved or gravel road. I have family member on a wheelchair with me. Trying to find fee wheelchair accessible trails, so we all can enjoy together.
    TIA

Bear Lake Road is paved but around Bear Lake is not. A good portion (if not all) of the trail around Sprague Lake is wheelchair accessible. It's not paved but it's wide and flat with just a few roots and no stairs that I remember.
