Thank you for explaining that, I did not know. But THIS version we hear does not include the balance of the orchestra and especially the bass. It's there, but we just can't hear it. @@MugnifyRTS
We had wonderful music back then. I have so much fun introducing my nieces and nephews to the songs of the1960s, 70s and early1980s. When I explain how there was no tech wizardry just skills they're blown away
They're both extraordinary, but Bill was always my favorite! 😍 Thanks for sharing your mom's memory of the night she was able to see them. I can remember my parents getting dressed up to "go out", people really dressed up back in the day.. I miss the 60's, 70's
Glad to see younger people discovering theses guys! They are part of an era that is sadly gone. When singers sang without auto tune!! The live performances were Not lip synced.....they were just that great!!! We just don't seem to have talent like this anymore. Bill & Bobby...were awesome!!!
No remaster , baby, they were the real, true talent, that was live performance in 64. We who grew up then can testify ! No Auto-Tune just honest talent .
Dude; back in the day at a high school dance you had to be ready to hold your girl up while dancing to this , because these two guys would simply melt the ladys. I believe this is rated the most listened to song of the 20th century. Also this may be your first time experiencing Phil Spectors wall of sound. A recording method that became famous especially in Motown music.
This is called blue-eyed soul. These guys were the best. Bobby Hatfield with his beautiful tenor voice & Bill Medley with his deeper voice. They were magic together. And remember this is done live. No auto-tuning crap like today. And the songs had meaningful beautiful lyrics. Other great songs by them is "Soul & Inspiration", "Just Once In My Life", "Ebb Tide", "Rock & Roll Heaven" etc.
They had great voices, from a bygone era. My mom went to see them at a supper club. I remember her decked out, looking like a movie star from the 40s right down to the jeweled cigarette case and holder. Somewhere there is a photo taken by a professional photographer who would wander the club taking souvenir photographs. Very swanky - fancy .
They were Blue Eyed Soul brothers!! I’ve loved them since 1964, and still love them to this day. Bill Medley & Bobby Hatfield had all the gals crying & in love with them & all the guys wanted to sing like them… we had such incredible music in our generation 50’s, 60’s & 70’s, so happy you are discovering the music of the baby boomers 💥😻💔❤️🩹❤️!!
I like you because you never pretend to like anything. I understand why a lot of reactors go overboard with complimenting anything they react to; they don’t want to offend people who like it. But I’ve seen you many times not get into songs/artists. It makes me trust that your reaction is genuine (as much as anyone can trust a stranger making videos in UA-cam, obviously).
Oh my guys from the 60's. I was in high school when they came out in 1964. They were awesome!!! RIP Bobby! We miss your beautiful voice. You need to hear their other hits!!!❤❤❤
This is such a beautiful love song of love lost. I remember listening to this in the 60s. It got constant airplay on radio stations. They were one of the best duos ever. Thanks so much for this reaction. 👏👏🇨🇦
When it comes to soul music, the hits these two guys sang were pinnacle without a doubt. Their music came from the deepest part of the soul. It was perfection. It stirred the soul. Alone or together, I am grateful to have been able to hear them when they made their first appearance, I mean, you stopped what ever you were doing and took in their music that would lead you to places inside yourself you didn't know were there . . . . you almost become spellbound. They stood by themselves and what a legacy they left.
This was the most radio played recording of the entire 20th century. Nobody sings like this anymore. We have lost much. "Soul and Inspiration" is another of their great love songs you should check out.
Have not heard this in years. I remember when it came out. The technology was very primitive in those day regarding tracking etc. which makes their combined vocal skills even more remarkable. Pure talent. Thank you. Were the 60's a golden era or am I simply nostalgic. uk
Bill Medley, the deep voice here, is still doing this...in his eighties! I appeared on an oldies cruise with him, along with his new singing partner, last November and they killed.
I was 16 when this came out.....gee how time flies. I got a kick out of how you were responding to them, like you couldnt believe it was coming from them lol. Yep they shocked alot of us the first time we saw them on television. Great music back in the good old days
That smile mate just pure joy. Real music, just do what we did, sit back close your eyes and enjoy the felling. No remaster this live recorded. Now try the rest of there music. Enjoy.
Yes...This song was released in 1964, and both Righteous Brothers were 25 years old when that song hit it big. I remembered hearing the Lovin' Feeling as a 9-year old when my Mom listen to the Righteous Brothers on AM radio back in the day.
The Righteous Brothers had hit after hit while The Beatles were #1 all the time on the charts. Their blue eyed soul was what kept them on the charts. Bill Medley and Bobby Hatfield. Bobby passed in 2003. RIP
The singers from the 50's - 60's had true talent. Their songs weren't digitally remastered...no lip syncing..auto tuning. Pure talent. The feeling to held in ur boyfriend's arms when listening to their songs were surreal.
The Brothers were my first love, I wore out this 45. I did see them live in 1967 at a small amusement Park in Oklahoma City. They wore Brown Tuxedos, yellow shirt, brown patent leather shoes.. they sounded this good!
You got it my brother! Nailed it!!! I am a white granny in Ireland, and my heart is soaring when I hear you down with the music I danced to back in the day! Music is what will heal and untie our world. Forget politics! It's music baby. Songs of love and passion, that will make us realise we are one, we all feel, we all know the same pain, the same joy, the same love!!! Thanks for a great video! Btw, there is a look on your face, son, at 5:27 that made me just lmao. Priceless!!!! You got it, son. You got it!
As a young teen this was my favourite song. I have never listened to the remake done after it and I never will. Bill owns this song, the same as. Bobby owns Unchained Melody.
This hit when I was a HS senior, we grew up in a golden age, but it was all over as LBJ ordered 165,000 soldiers to Vietnam in '65 and it's been downhill ever since.
I was 13 years old when the song came out. Much too young to really appreciate their talent and all the young people were listening to The Beatles, Stone's, and Yardbirds. As a point of Interest: my native town of Kansas City Missouri had one black-owned radio station, KPRS, in the 1960s and it is my understanding that the Righteous Brothers were the only white group allowed to be played on their station.
I was a 12 years old in 1964 and felt an internal swooning whenever I heard this song (and other music by The Righteous Brothers). The harmonies knocked me out. And as a 12 year old I dreamed of having a boyfriend who wanted and loved me so much. I also watched them on black and white TV in this and other performances. I think they went on as guests on shows of the 60's. Thank you so much for letting me hear them and see them (now in color) again!
People today haven't listened to pure talent until they go through the archives to the 50s, 60s and early 70s, the best music ever. Righteous Brothers. SAM COOK , Elvis Presley, Jimi Hendricks, and so many more, we loved to go to concerts and see them live, never any violence in those days just loving the music and having fun.
No autotune or vocal enhancements. But pure talent PLUS hundreds of hours of practice, warming up, working out the harmonies, etc. Talent PLUS hard work.
Not a remaster. Just the single that was released in 1964 and hit the top of the charts in early '65. The original sound, which was, in fact, live, is not so great. But the Righteous Brothers were so good, they performed the song live in such a way that you could overdub the single and it synched perfectly with their live performance.
Loved your appreciative reaction! I’ve loved these guys since 1964 - especially Bill Medley, the tall one with the deep voice. Bobby Hatfield (really amazing high voice) passed away in 2003. Bill is 82 now and still performing, and I have a ticket to see him in a couple of months! Their biggest hits are on UA-cam and deserve a look- Soul and Inspiration, Unchained Melody, Just Once in My Life, Little Latin Lupe Lu. But I’d like to suggest you look at The Righteous Brothers and the Blossoms jamming in the Ray Charles song Night Time is the Right Time - ua-cam.com/video/uM-4CUzpjJU/v-deo.html Bill’s last 2 albums, made in his 70s, return to his love of the blues and are really great. Both are on UA-cam Music.
Thank you, lol.. I love the Righteous Brothers; two extremely talented men and together they became even more extraordinary! That said, while I have great respect for Bobby's talent & voice, it's Bill who has always been my favorite! Be still my heart, lol! More often than not however, it's Bobby Hatfield that UA-cam comments are centered on. So it was really nice to read your comment.😊You're one lucky woman getting to see Bill & Bucky perform! Do you know if his daughter, McKenna will be performing, as well? "Have the time of your life!"😉
@@robinmcintyre3472 Thanks for your kind comments! No, I don’t think McKenna will be there. From what I’ve read, she recently had a baby and will be on maternity leave. Bill’s a grandpa again!
That was not remastered. That was the original. Pure talent.
Suzanne Remastered just mean a more updated Render of the song. it doesn't take away from the origiinal it enhances it
Sounds exactly like the original to me too.
Thank you for explaining that, I did not know. But THIS version we hear does not include the balance of the orchestra and especially the bass. It's there, but we just can't hear it. @@MugnifyRTS
You are so right
Came to say same thing. My older sister played on constant repeat.
No auto tune. Just talent!
Yes and that is unheard of with today's...."singers"
Just think how much better it would have been with autotune
I love when they come back into the chorus, in tune, right after the back and forth vocals. Pure talent.
Pure talent
They were a one of a kind due - perfection!
Nope. Not remastered! No auto tune. Pure talent bro. You young people have no idea what you missed! No earthly idea! Those days were magical. ❤
We had wonderful music back then. I have so much fun introducing my nieces and nephews to the songs of the1960s, 70s and early1980s. When I explain how there was no tech wizardry just skills they're blown away
what exactly do you think "remastered" means?
They sounded EXACTLY like that live, no editing, no auto tune….just pure and natural talent!!!! Blue eyed soul ❤
❤ ******THE RIGHTEOUS BROTHERS, MELTING WOMEN'S HEARTS FOR OVER 60 YEARS****** ❤ Loved your reaction!
"You never close your eyes anymore when I kiss your lips" - Perhaps the most heartbreaking opening line in any song ever!
Bill Medley has a deep, masculine voice but at the same time his voice communicates tenderness and love. Not easy to do.
They're both extraordinary, but Bill was always my favorite! 😍 Thanks for sharing your mom's memory of the night she was able to see them. I can remember my parents getting dressed up to "go out", people really dressed up back in the day.. I miss the 60's, 70's

If only reincarnation was a real thing.
This was the song most played in the 20th century. They knocked this song out of the ballpark.

I'll be 40 at the end of the year lol
Yeah but for the oldies who were teens at the 60’s you are a very young and sensitive man 😊
Thank God for Ren! He pucks up these reins!❤
So true, old school way.
My era as well
No remaster , baby, they were the real, true talent, that was live performance in 64.
We who grew up then can testify ! No Auto-Tune just honest talent .
This is the music I grew up on. I'm so glad to see the younger generation "discovering" the pure talent that us old folks had as teens.
This is the number 1. Most played song in the 20th century!
No auto tune. The look on your face yet priceless!! Once again!!!

Most requested song of the 20th century!
Goosebumps every time.
That was pure raw talent.
You’re so right. All us women are paying attention to him. Completely. The both of them. We are swooning.
This was the MOST requested and MOST played song on the radio of the twentieth century, performed by the GREATEST male duo of all time!
This has to be one of the best songs ever recorded. Soul and Inspiration is another good one.
I grew up in the 60s, and I think it was the best time for music. I graduated from high school in 1965.
I grew up in the 90's and even I knew the 60's music was a million miles better then what was on the radio in my youth
when Bill sings "baby, baby... I'd get down on my knees for you"... there's not a dry seat in the house.
Most played song of 20th century.I could listen to this duo every day as yhey both had amazing voices.

One reason it got so much air time is because of all the men being shipped off to fight in Vietnam.💕

I saw them in concert in Toronto in the 70s..I also saw Bill Medley a couple of years ago.
