Wow sure love the tip of "chip away at your soul in dungeons until you're nothing more than a hollow husk" fantastic. I'd definitely wouldn't rather get actually physically and psychologically tortured for the rest of my life
Alot of time would be spent afk though. If we reflect on another game for example rust. A player/youtuber called "Tacularr" has like 19k hours or something bizzarre. Someone calculated that he spent an average of 4 hours playing rust since the moment it was released. He later followed up by confirming about 1/3-1/4 of his playtime was afk whether that was sleeping, making food, visiting family/friends etc. But 2,5-3 hours every single day since the realize of active playtime is pure insanity.
I think the most important part of this video is the massive playtimes of these people. I have 1500 hours. Most of it is afk/pre dungeons so not much time with the current economy. I’m a farmer for the most part. If I add 3000 hours farming my best crops then I would have a higher networth than most of these guys
funny how most of them say just to never play skyblock lol. for me i quit awhile ago after 2k hours but ive started to play like an hour a day for the garden update (better than my previous 10 hours a day...)
I think the most common problem with newer players is trying to find a money making method that requires no skill, no effort and makes like 50m an hour, which is just not realistic. To make money just...play the game. Which I know isn't necessarily great advice, but you can literally make money so many different ways you might as well have fun while doing it. Alot of Endgame players don't even necessarily do the most consistent way of making money, they just play the game ALOT. Sure there are methods that make more than others, but they require lots of time and effort. It took me about 500 hours of grinding and over 1b coins to get my current mining setup, which makes about 25m an hour now. And most players will not have the patience to do that, and if you're one of the people that don't, it's not the end of the world. As I mentioned, there are SO many ways to make money, it just happens that mining is one of the most consistent, but also requires alot of effort. Like for example, if the guy that had 9500 hours just did mining for 9k hours (not including the time it would take to get the actual setup), with a max setup he'd have made around 300b - 400b coins. Which just goes to show, it is not absolutely necessary to do the most effective method to make money, sure it might make you more coins but it's not necessary. You just need to literally play the game
I have some advice for you do everything you do in this game in real life and ask some of the richest real life skyblock players and when your a zillionaire you buy booster cookies until your the richest player
meanwhile, me with 2-3k hours and just over 100m networth and no real money making method because i cant do dungeons and nothing else holds my attention well
most players didnt ever try hype, i quit the game and gave my hype to my coop a long time ago(just came back lol after like 6 months) i much rather have a hype rather then a aotv/aote in this game, cuz except for dungeons i can do everything at high efficiency without aote/v. if you could only use 1 def hype there is just a progression cap without hype and aote/aotv doesnt have one just takes more time to find teams and spawn mini bosses.
@@mr.voltron1644 its more like 1.8b but thats not the matter, all these people have their hypes and if you could only have one and you couldnt sell it etc. etc. hype would be a better choice

The best method by far to this day is playing new content actively... Like once foraging drops for example PLAY THE SHIT OUT OF IT... I am under the top 30 by flat nw but I also have like so many drops I shouldnt have had access to... I for example own one of the very few dragon eggs and a few glitched items such as a starred Reaper Mask... And all of those were mainly only accessable by just flipping drops or finding exploits... I currently make money from Infernal Minions since people aren't catching on just how overpowered a 10 Minion setup with maxed minions is... Its just a pain how often I have to collect... Most of my nw came from f7, predicting price increases and abusing systems hypixel forgot to fix... I have 4800h of playtime... Overall the best recommendation to new players is to focus on events and play less actually... Minions can carry you a far way for doing absolutely nothing and events are broken honestly... Just go for daily stuff like doing comms till hotm 7, get slowly into the content and than maybe play more since its not worth stressing... Skyblock is in a constant change of economy and the economy will likely flip again when they f*ck x6 Mining and add stupid new things... But also after 1.0 things will take a massive change... My biggest mistake playing Skyblock was likely borrowing items constantly... Like I used to borrow a gdrag from a friend over a year which prolly cost me more than just buying one and maxing it... Just save up and buy the key items... So Hype, Gdrag, Plasma, Claymore etc. My latest money method that made me 17b was Rift... I flipped so many of those talismans idek how its legal...
