Thanks guys ,I really like your channel it has helped me to become a better leather craftsman
Your tutorials are very helpful. I am learning so much thanks.
more will come :). Thank you for your feed back, it's good to know that someone apreciate your work
EPIC!
cool!
perfect!
Hi, I am trying to design something that uses a similar cylinder to the one you show in this video, however, I am finding that I have different amounts of holes on the cylinder to the cap. How do you make sure that your stitches are even and equal?
Merci beaucoup 👍
Would have been nice to see how you punched the holes. Did you mark each then punch through using a curved awl on one or both pieces? If you want to consider something a tutorial then you should show all steps in the process.
i make holes with round punches, you can see how in other tutorias. And I mark them using a pattern
Very nice!!
Did you paint the edges red? With what kind of paint?
I use Uniters edge dyes
@@VasileandPavel Cool! I've used Giardini, but it takes a long time to layer and finish. I heard Uniters is much quicker, and it looks awesome! I will have to give it a try, thanks!
@@dperisty1 first, I use a filler (Uniters, also) . Then sandpaper and layers of dye. I don't pay much atention on edges, I do just enough to be decent. But if you want, you can make perfeect edges with Giardini or with Uniters.
@@VasileandPavel Gah, ok thanks for the info, I didn't know Uniters was the same method as Giardini (I was hoping it was like like an edge kote, hehe). Your edges look great!
OLD LEATHER SMITH here, Suggestion, if U R going 2 use only 1 needle and skip every other hole I suggest using the Backward stitch, 1 needle and every stitch is LOCKED in, and U have a decorative stitch on 1 side and a regular stitch on the other side, U can use a straight or curved needle, GOD'S BLESSINGS ✝️⚾🙃
thank you. I made more than 200 cylinders and i tryed many methods. I can stitch with 2 needles, I can stitch with 2 curved needles but this method is easier than others, it is a good method for begginers. nIn 3-4 days i'll post a tutorial for a Foto Lens case with 2 needles stitch.
@@VasileandPavel OLD LEATHER SMITH here, I believe U misunderstood, I suggested the backward stitch, it is done with 1 needle just like what U were doing, U skip 1 hole every stitch just like U were doing, 2 differences, 1) every stitch is LOCKED in, 2)
you get a different look 2 UR stitch on each side of UR work. If U would like me 2 explain it 2 U I would B happy 2. Most of the time this stitch is used with lace where the 2 differences R more visible, GOD'S BLESSINGS ✝️⚾🙃
@@jimathey6153 I see you’re comments all time jim, hope you’re doing well, thanks for the tips. Cheers
How did you make the holes??

I wouldn’t really call this a tutorial
