I went to my local Audi dealership not intending to visit just for the allroad and I really liked it! Of course I'm not an allroad owner and more than likely won't be one for some 20-30 years if I were to actually buy one, but I liked it even a lot more than the S4 or S7 sitting in the showroom, not sure why lol

The front seats were extremely towards the rear. I have the 2014 and there is more than enough space in the back. Also, who offers a small car out for the night with a large group of 6’ tall men? Great car and I have had no problems!

That is the key fob slot. If you don't get keyless go, you have to stick the key in the slot to start the engine.

All depends what your using the car for. You can often pay for things a car comes with that your not going to use. Example being the xc70 is more capable off road but if your spending most your time on the road then the allroad is probably a better choice. Its also a good tow vehicle. Certainly better looking than the xc70 to
I have a 13 A6, and I love the interior. It’ll be hard to replace when the sealed transmission dies, but I’m enjoying it while I have it.
Did someone tell you that you can't change the transmission fluid?
If customers aren't cross shopping between the Volvo XC70 and the allroad, why do you keep comparing them?

Hi, I had a quick question. I've been considering buying a used Allroad, because I love Audi's and I also like performance with space, blah blah blah.
In this video, you said that this particular year/model was based on the A4, unlike previous models based on the A6? How do I know which models are based on the A6? I'm not a huge car expert, so I'm hoping you can shed light on this info for me.

The Audi A6 Avant is the station wagon thats built on the A6 chassis but Audi doesn't offer it in the North American market, only oversees like the EU market. When the first few SUV's were introduced for the first time, America basically said SUV's > station wagon and they were mostly woven out of the market, unfortunately. The roads in and around cities in the UK aren't too friendly on big SUV's so station wagons are still a staple of the market over the pond.
There are solutions, but they're pricey. Either try and import it and go through the "mountains of paperwork" or fully spec a car out and get a European Delivery with a trip out to Germany and break it in, and the shipping over the pond will be included.
Other than that, the older A6 avants and allroads on the used market are the cheapest option.
Right, I know that the A6 Avant is the station wagon, but what I understood from the remark in the video was that previous Audi Allroad models were based on the A6 chassis instead of the A4, so I wanted to know which years, etc, were based on the A4 chassis. I would rather have more space, etc. Even if it's a little older.
Thanks for all of the great info, though. It makes sense now why they have so many more great wagon options than we do over here. I still prefer wagons over SUVs, the space isn't much different on most, unless you go massive, and to the next point, that they're a lot better on fuel economy. That's just my preference. I think I was supposed to be born in Europe lol.
Anyhow, that's the information I was looking for, if it even is possible or if that was the case. Perhaps I just misunderstood. I would love to get an import directly from across the pond, that would be amazing, but also amazingly expensive. Maybe a used one from across the pond not so much? I worked with a German intern once who was mad dedicated to shipping his used Mercedes he purchased here in the US back to Germany.
