This spider moves pretty realistically when rotating a crank...

Dude that jump was uncalled for 😂
Haha i know, but that's why I had to do it... 😄
I read your comment before I watched the video.. it did not help, I jumped in my sead
Can't believe I actually jumped at that. I think it was the fact that I was so focused on being shown something that I completely let my guard down. It just goes to show that when we watch something like a tv show, we enter in a state of hypnosis, having emotions etc for something that's not even really happening. Good job, very clever.
I knew he was going to do something like that with the spider, and yet, I still jumped.... Grrrr.....
I literally have to have this spider! Incredible craft.
Thanks!
0:37 you got me
Cool project!
Also the one that is 40.4mm tall that also has a ring on the shaft. does not have the orientation dot on the base. Could you upload a new one of these also? Have the spider finished and it looks fantastic. Thanks again for this model
Simply AMAZING! thanks man you are the best!
I'm gonna call this the Nope Box
I'm building your creepy spider and noticed one of your gears, the tall one with the ring around the shaft, does not have the orientation dot on the base. Could you upload a new one? Have the spider finished and it looks fantastic. Printing the base as I write this. Thanks for this model.
You can put some greece on all the gears so it will run smoother and silent
wow, great project!
Thanks!
Oooo that woke me up 😱🤣🤣
Great !!
Hi. Love this project.
I'm building it as we speak.
Would it be possible to get the stl for the spider limbs separated? Would make replacing damaged parts easier.
I'm also planning to print one at larger scale, so i'd print each limb on its own.
Cool what a great idea,,, but not so large that it looks fake!

Nice one - have you tried to add a stepper motor to control it electrically? That could be rather nice ;)
Not yet. I would need to integrate a reduction. Also I think I would pick a brushed dc motor to avoid having to use a driver. Maybe I will automate one of my next kinetic sculptures.
It's good to replace spiders with humans or animals.
We will have a moving model, not a rigid one.
💪🔥👍
Could something like this be resin printed?
The spider… sure no problem. The gears also. But the box I would do in FDM…
@@printchallenge7158 Ok, thank you!
i mixed everything up after printing the legs.... any way i can find out which leg belongs where?
Hmm not really… best is to just print it again. I guess you could open the file in your slicer software and look very closely at each leg and try to identify which is which… but won’t be easy
Does this scale up properly? I'd love to make a huge one
Hmmm, not sure about that… but feel free to try…
@@printchallenge7158 6.5 hrs in at 150% now will see how it goes
